Our annual anniversary dinner for two was another nice outing at Cafe Azzurro. The place was packed as usual but the noise level wasn't too loud. We made a reservation for two and were seated immediately. I ordered a black linguine special with shrimp, clams and one lobster tail. It was delicious. My wife got the penne vodka with chicken, which was also good. The dessert was a soufflé that was great as usual. The one negative was the wait. It took an hour to get a Caesar salad and our full meal took over two hours from start to finish.

I'll give this place 3.5 A group of us girls sat outside on the patio and was the nicest ambiance and roomy. The apps were great, not pictured; Eggplant Rollatini, sweet & spicy calamari & burrata special. When it came to the dinner, they had a parpadelle pasta on special but with seafood. I asked if they can do a simple parpadelle bolognese, they said yes. A few mins later he says they ran out of the pasta. I thought odd but ordered the egg fettuccine. I was very underwhelmed by the taste of their jarred meat sauce. That's just my opinion. However, it's a byo and a nice patio, as well as my friends did enjoy their dishes so I will definitely go back and try again.

Spectacular experience!!! A friend suggested we go there for dinner and the experience was definitely 5 stars beginning to end. Reservation was made and we were seated right the way , appetizers, food and dessert were excellent , I had the pan seared salmon . Service is on point and very attentive. It is BYOB so make sure you bring you wine. But just in case there's a liquor store right down the street . The vibe is great and they also have adorable outdoor tables and a very cute decor . Perfect for a date , special occasion or even just dinner with friends . We will definitely go back .

Fun taking silly pics with the waiter we had near the huge tree outside (my daughters face is not indicative of our experience haha)

We had the best experience here. They weren't even open and fully set up and insisted it was no problem and we could still eat here. The wait staff were so friendly and kind to my 2 toddlers. Our food was fresh, delicious and out quickly. We really had a great late lunch here and highly recommend it. We aren't even local to the area but would absolutely be back when we're in the area. **Our waiter was awesome with our kids and took fun photos with them near the huge tree outside.

It was very good. Not greasy or over seasoned. And for my main course, I had calamari, shrimp and artichokes in a light tomato sauce ice linguine. It was very good. The service was good. The ambiance and service were all excellent (although it's a bit loud and cramped inside), but I was truly blown away by the food. I ordered the fried zucchini flower as an appetizer and the Bucatini alla Nonna as an entree. The zucchini flower was very popular and I noticed everyone around us ordering it. The flower itself was crispy and warm, and then stuffed with a rich and creamy cheese filling. It was much better than I expected, and I can see why the dish was so popular. My Bucatini was similarly amazing. I did not expect the pasta to be home-made, as this isn't heavily advertised for the restaurant, but the pasta was so fresh and actually home-made. The pasta was cooked perfectly (not too al dente but still with a bite). Even in NJ, I have found it so hard to find pasta that is truly home-made and cooked this well. The sauce was also exceptional. I truly enjoyed this meal and can't wait to return.

The atmosphere somehow manages to feel both refined and relaxed, like you're dining inside a beautifully restored piece of history. And the history really is part of what makes this place special. Ninety Acres sits on the Natirar estate, a nearly 500-acre property originally built in the early 1900s for Kate Macy Ladd (yes, the Macy family), later owned by the King of Morocco, and eventually preserved and restored into one of New Jersey's most unique destinations. Even the name "Natirar" is "Raritan" spelled backwards, after the river running through the property. Dining in the old carriage house while overlooking the rolling hills and farm makes the entire experience feel cinematic in the best possible way. This wasn't just dinner, it felt like an experience thoughtfully curated from the setting to the service to the food itself. One of those rare places that actually lives up to the hype. We'll definitely be back.

Before even getting into the restaurant, you pay $20 for valet (or self-park for free). Once inside, the ambiance is pretentiously fancy. The food is generally good, nothing spectacular, and priced to match the pretentious ambiance. Most of the dishes contained a puréed food of some kind to be pretentiously fancy. Why so many purées? What's wrong with whole vegetables? Your customers are not babies. Dishes that I would probably order again if I return: * Bluefin tuna crudo with avocado purée * Coffee-rubbed Berkshire pork chop with sweet potato purée * Duck with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms, and cauliflower purée * Roasted carrots with sumac Dishes that were fine but not memorable (1 star off): * Brioche rolls with carrot butter: could not taste any carrot flavor in carrot butter; a good plain butter would have sufficed; it also came with a side of smoked salmon roe which I thought was pretentious and unnecessary * New England scallops with carrot and coriander purée, spring pea and mint pesto, and mushroom crumble: the mushroom crumble was good, but the scallops were over-salted * Pan-seared salmon, sunchoke, spring herb purée, salsify, corn, and pommes purée: TWO purées...yay... * Cavatelli with lamb ragu: ragu is basically a tomato purée * Roasted Brussels sprouts and butternut squash For dessert, our waiter recommended the butterscotch pretzel sundae, which has been on their menu for years. The blondie bites, salted caramel, hot fudge, and salted caramel ice cream did sound good. Too bad they forgot to bring it out for us (1 star off), so we never tried it.

Our table had lots of space to spread out, and the music was not too loud. The server greeted us quickly and offered us drinks. She was also VERY acommodating to my diet restrictions (I am pregnant and can't have alcohol or cold cuts, so she showed me the mocktails and also offered substitutions for dishes with prosciutto). We ended up ordering the focaccia, bruschetta, calamari, and burrata to share. The appetizers were excellent, and my husband and I particularly loved the bruschetta. I then ordered the garganelli with creamy truffle sauce, and my husband ordered the pork chop. My garganelli was very flavorful but the cream sauce was just a bit too heavy for me. My husbands pork chop was cooked very nicely but could have been slightly more flavorful. Overall I could see myself returning for the garganelli as I LOVE pasta with a good creamy truffle sauce. For dessert we ordered the torta and bomboloni to share. The bomboloni came out warm and in a cute little dunkin' style box. They were delicious. They were served with an espresso sauce and a chocolate carmel sauce to squirt on top. I would definitely return for this item! The torta was just okay for me. The presentation was beautiful, but the cake itself was a little dry and could have had a more citrus flavor.

Actually a 2 person show. Either MGR./owner greeted us and offered where to sit. The venue is small and quaint. It is BYOB and the waitress came back to open wine and offer sparkling or tap. We started off with the gentlemen recommendation of bruschetta. It arrived and it came out warm. My wife was ok with it. Me I liked it. Next up we split a bolongese tagliatelle pasta dish. A perfect mixture of Veal, beef pork was hands down one of the best bolognese pasta dishes I have ever had. I am first generation Italian and have been blessed in my home. Their bolognese was special. My wife had the chicken dish spinach and potatoes. She liked it thought it was a tad sweet but did like it. I had the pork medallions with potatoes and spinach. Both dishes were cooked perfectly. My pork was a tad sweet but mixed with the potatoes and spinach was terrific We ended up with a lemon dessert that came out warm and was delicious. In addition had another raspberry dessert from establishment and that was delicious. The place is small well lit pretty windows to view. The other patrons were all enjoying their time. No drama and couldn't ask for better patrons. The waitress was excellent and my wife and I truly loved this place. We will be back keep in mind reservations are needed. We were fortunate to score on a Friday. Their are nine tables why reservations are needed. They also offer a prix fix just in case and is reasonable. I will definitely be back and I'm doing that bolognese pasta not on a share but as a main. Terrific place Recommend
