Luna Rossa is my sister and brother-in-law's favorite restaurant. Aftry we joined them for dinner there we fully understood why. The atmosphere is very friendly and the food is exceptional; even standard Italian dishes are made with extraordinary care. Adrian is the consummate host. A visit from him to your table enhances the experience. There are so many Italian restaurants in New Jersey, but Luna Rossa is a head above the rest. A few months later, we were attending a musical event in the Somerville area, and needed a meal afterwards. We immediately chose Luna Rossa, and had another exceptional meal. We live about 35 minutes away from the restaurant, but it's definitely worth the drive.

We decided on getting takeout food the other night. It was our first time here. The manager was very friendly and helpful. We ordered eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana sandwiches. The sandwiches were huge. The bread was so fresh and the tomato sauce was out of this world. While we waited for our sandwiches we listened to the Italian music they were playing in the restaurant. If you have not tried Luna Rossa it is worth the trip.

    Insalata Arugula with Grilled Chicken

This order was picked up for take out and everything was ready as well as the order being correct. The menu had a number of pizzas to choose from along with lots of Italian dishes. I went with an insalata arugula with grilled chicken. It contained baby arugula, roasted peppers, tomatoes, mozzarella, with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. This was very tasty. They did not skimp out on the chicken at all, and it was perfectly cooked. The balsamic was of the thick variety which went well with everything. All ingredients seemed fresh too. It was a simple salad executed well. Will I go back? I would.

Went here with family and was provided the private room for a surprise party- staff was very nice! Pre-fixe menu, but you could chose your entree. We passed around apps, which were Fried calamari, mozzarella/tomato salad and eggplant rollatini which was good! We also each got small caesar salads. I ordered Veal Marsala - it was a bit chewy and hard to cut so sadly didn't love it. But I also tried chicken piccata and it was delish! The sauce was perfect with the penne pasta and chicken was cooked very good. Not too much breading either - we then passed around assorted desserts! They offered coffee, expresso, and tea. Overall nice spot, no frills but good.

Unfortunately, the calamari was a disappointment. It was oddly crispy on the inside, which was unexpected. I'm used to calamari being tender with a slight chew, but this tasted almost like it had been baked before being breaded and fried. It just wasn't for us. The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were flavorful and well prepared. The only other downside was that it's BYOB, and we didn't realize that until we were seated. It's hard to imagine enjoying a nice Italian meal without a glass of wine.

Pedro waited on our table and he gave us a run down of the specials. There were quite a few appetizer and entree specials . We picked 2 items from the Specials Meatballs in Marinara sauce - was cooked to perfection with a coating of cheese . The marinara had the perfect acidity and sweetness. Beet salad with goat cheese - Special - This was a good salad not a great one at that . Could have used more beets and a bit more vinaigrette . Halibut - Delia yes cooked Halibut sitting on a colorful bed of orzo cooked in a. Saffron cream sauce that was a treat to the eyes and plate . Grilled mustard crusted salmon served over mashed poataoes and grilled asparagus - Salmon was cooked crispy on outside flaky soft on the inside and the potatoes were creamy dreamy silky texture . Asparagus was tender and cooked just enough to snap Lara suggested Creme Brûlée or Gelato for dessert The flavors she recommended were one of a kind and the highlight of our meal . Cherry pistachio n Graham cracker - Both a Must try Weekdays Tues to Thurs they have live music , lit up outdoor seating that offers a relaxed vibe to enjoy. A cute restaurant that serves great food.

First of all the town is so quaint and beautiful and includes the PGA golf museum and headquarters - perfect place to stop after a hectic day in and around NYC. I arrived to this deli/market about 10 minutes after 5pm (they close at 6). The head guy told me they would make my sandwich but typically they stop making sandwiches at 5 - he was super nice about it. Everyone working there was incredibly nice and it's definitely a place locals come to buy sandwiches and fish/steak/chicken/pastas/prepared foods/homemade dinners/desserts. Everyone was chatting with each other and they included me in the conversation as it's got a very friendly atmosphere! A local guy was going to purchase some salmon to grill at home and the guy working told him it was the last day for that particular fish to get fresh tomorrow - I loved the honesty in front of everyone and the customer decided to get something else. The sandwich I got was the Chicken Cutlet. Nice compact sandwich with delicious and fresh ingredients. The bread was perfect for me - not too hard and not too soft. The price was also incredibly reasonable and the cutlet, mozzarella and tomato were all full of flavor - A+ sandwich. I got some local peach tea they sell there (they had a few flavors) and I must say it's one of the most delicious peach teas I've ever had! Great experience great food and friendly people - I'll be back!

Every layer of the sub was thoroughly planned out with a good amount of each topping. There was a great ratio of the filling to the bread. The bread was the key though. Most of the condiments were on the side, and I did not even need to add any because of how good and flavorful the sub was by itself. Will I go back? I did not actually attend, but would head there.

We started with the spinach dip, and that was delicious. For the main, we ordered the half baby back ribs with coleslaw and steamed broccoli.
