Deliciously good food! I went in hungry and left with a bunch of stuff. Rib eye was excellent as was the guacamole and salsa. I'll be back! read more

I am from the south and came here on the suggestion of a guy who lived in the area while I was working up in NJ. First of all the town is so quaint and beautiful and includes the PGA golf museum and headquarters - perfect place to stop after a hectic day in and around NYC. I arrived to this deli/market about 10 minutes after 5pm (they close at 6). The head guy told me they would make my sandwich but typically they stop making sandwiches at 5 - he was super nice about it. Everyone working there was incredibly nice and it's definitely a place locals come to buy sandwiches and fish/steak/chicken/pastas/prepared foods/homemade dinners/desserts. Everyone was chatting with each other and they included me in the conversation as it's got a very friendly atmosphere! A local guy was going to purchase some salmon to grill at home and the guy working told him it was the last day for that particular fish to get fresh tomorrow - I loved the honesty in front of everyone and the customer decided to get something else. The sandwich I got was the Chicken Cutlet. Nice compact sandwich with delicious and fresh ingredients. The bread was perfect for me - not too hard and not too soft. The price was also incredibly reasonable and the cutlet, mozzarella and tomato were all full of flavor - A+ sandwich. I got some local peach tea they sell there (they had a few flavors) and I must say it's one of the most delicious peach teas I've ever had! Great experience great food and friendly people - I'll be back! read more

Ciao ragazzi! I love Perrottis so much. My favs include their strip steak, twice baked potatoes, subs and ice cream cookies for the kids. The staff are so nice and have saved me many times for meals needed for my family and for my clients. One day I will move away from the area and miss this place so much! read more

This place is fantastic. I got an Italian sub from here(which I forgot to take a picture of) and it was delicious. Bread was not dry and the cuts of meat and cheese were so fresh read more

Perrotti's Far Hills - Butcher Meats - Meat Shops Near Me - Far Hills, New Jersey

When you put a tray of food on a counter and suggest customers try it, typically one would think it means to sample it, and if one does, he shouldn't be then embarrassed, told "that's not how it works" and made to pay $4 for one piece of coconut shrimp. With that, the food is fresh and good, but pretty lame to hit up a first (and last) time customer for a misunderstanding. read more

We were so hungry after leaving the VNA Sale, we went by Yelp reviews to find this place. Ciabatta rolls were the only rolls left, so we ordered a tuna sandwich, and shared it. SO good and fresh. Not your typical tuna salad, almost tasted like chicken salad. Lettuce was so fresh, as was the roll. We were so full, we didn't have the chicken sandwich. We will enjoy it tomorrow for lunch. The only negative about this place is the signage from Rt 202, there is none. Or at least we didn't see it. We were driving around all of the parking lots because the directions told us we arrived . We then saw a small sign on the building, so we parked right in front. For the success of this business, I hope better signage will be coming. Great place! read more

Perrotti's Far Hills - 1/2 a tuna sandwich on a ciabatta roll, with fresh lettuce. - Meat Shops Near Me - Far Hills, New Jersey

The best service and some of the best sandwiches I've had in some time! Just order and you'll see.

All around exceptional. They're service oriented. If you ask; you shall receive. Be polite about it and its reciprocal. Full time pros and not just help. A hidden gem in the hills. read more

Was introduced to Perrotti's by a neighbor who brought me some prepared meals after surgery. Since then I have been going regularly and cannot say enough about the quality and great prices. They also carry a wide selection of deli products and meats. A must to try. read more

Have been going to Perrotti's in Far Hills since it opened. They have been consistently excellent throughout the years. The entire staff is always friendly, and incredibly service oriented. Their food is the finest available, and the selections are ample. Their prepared foods are exceptional, Steaks, and roasts are expertly trimmed, and cut to order. Cannot say enough about this classic provider. read more

From the butcher / preppred foods side - we had a huge crown of pork for Christmas. Fantastic!! Fresh, expertly cut (lots o meat!) and very well priced. The perogies and potatoes au gratin are out of this world - fresh and made in house. Deli-wise - very good sandwiches for reasonable prices (6.99) . No big sandwich menu, but there are daily specials, and you can get just about anything made. In house breaded chicken and veggies, great rolls from Calandra's, and quality Boars Head meats. While the sandwiches are not very glamorous - they are high quality and tasty. The shop has some pastas, homemade sauces, and other treats on shelves.. but the centerpiece is the cooler with prepped dishes for take-out.. its like a little wonderland of homemade goodness in there - meatballs.. stuffed shells.. rigatoni.. wings.. perogies.. chicken this/that .. the list goes on.. they have it all on their website. Lots of stuff in there that I'll eventually work on sampling - even if I do live 250 miles away. They have dedicated parking spots and terrific service. read more

Just moved my buddy into a townhouse in "the hills" of Bedminster. We decided to grab some chow and explore the surrounding area. We saw that this spot had great reviews and felt inclined to see what the hype was about. Upon arrival we entered "in the rear@ as we couldn't find the parking lot. Needless to say this Hidden Gem has fresh food and HUGE open fridge of pre-made Italian delicacies. Notice how my biracial friend William Carter shows you the ratio of meat:bread on this beautifully put together creation. Buy the TANGO sauce. It's gluten-free with a good array of different fresh simple ingredients. Made by local legend Garamond McKellar! read more

Very great subs. Just went for the first time and the subs are to die for. If you're local, definitely check it out!

Great selection of prepared foods and deli counter to make a variety of sandwiches. Love their chicken salad- so good!!! We also like their little pizzas- easy to make in the toaster oven. The only prepared food we don't care for is the Chicken Murphy- too spicy for our taste. This is a reliable place for takeaway lunch or dinner food. Highly recommend! read more

Don't know what I would do without this place! Wonderful selections of meats and fish, delicious sandwiches and prepared foods and a great group of staff members. read more

I moved back to NJ three years ago. I hate myself for not finding this place sooner. The butcher shop is what it should be. Deli fantastic. And the countless prepared foods and pastas and salads and sides and sauces fed my family for a week. This is the type of family business that folks should drive out of their way to support. read more

Amazing food and great people who work there. They will take time out to give you tips on the proper way to cook a cut of meat on the grill if you ask them. Their prepared meals and made to order deli sandwiches are great as well. The best butcher and deli around. read more

This is a great solid Salumeria. I had a cutlet sandwich. The cutlet, bread, cheese and dressing came together to form an excellent sandwich. I also tried their cole slaw. Also high quality, as it didn't have too much vinegar and had the right amount of juiciness. There is a great amount of prepaid foods in the giant open refrigerator. They also have meats and jarred sauce that look delicious. Besides sandwiches, lunch goers can get a salad or soup. Next time I will have to try one of their varied desserts. Guys running the show were nice and I definitely will be back again and again read more

There might be a usual deli in here but focus on the prepared foods and butcher features. Don't feel like cooking at home tonight? With this place you don't have to! The Orecchiette, rabe & sausage -- Housemade Italian sausage, broccoli rabe, orecchette pasta, pecorino romano cheese is outstanding and at $12.99 with a portion size to share or last more than a day you can't beat the pricing. Nice to also be in a place that knows what grass finished means on the beef side. Though I have not been here enough times to say I have tried the results I am looking forward to working with the butcher to get some locally sourced goodness in the coming months. read more

Really delicious and seems to be "known" around here. Pretty sure they have a good following. While I found the food delicious and homemade , for prepared foods (bring home and reheat) for me personally it was a bit expensive so I didn't return after going maybe 2 times... 5 stars for the delicious Italian food... read more

My go to butcher, sandwich shop, and prepared foods. All of the guys are awesome and I love going in there. Truly a local staple

Oh what a joy to stumble upon this place! Just stopped in for a quick bite on Yelp's recommendation while passing through the town. I had the spicy Italian which was excellent and very reasonably priced. The meatball parm. my partner had was very good but could have had more cheese and spicing. Very satisfied, will definitely make a trip out just for the food and the courteous customer service. ** was slightly disappointed there is no place to sit and eat in the area, but that's understandable with a take-out style deli-type place. read more

Just picked up my second lunch in the past few months... This place is awesome! I got me a roast beef sandwich that was top notch. I was toying w getting the meatball parm, so I asked if I could try just one meatball... That was a good effin meatball... Next time for sure! I got the chicken cutlet sandwich and a small chicken chili the first time around... Both were great but the chili was the standout for me... Best chicken chili I have had in some time! Great service, very customer forward... Might pick up some dinner to being home to PA one night as it looks like the thing to do... read more

The best prepared foods around. Their meat (butcher) are top of the line and their prepared food that only requires you to "heat it up" are OUTSTANDING. I frequently go to Perrotti's for a sandwich at lunch from their deli, they carry all Boar's Head meats and have wonderful lunch specials. Their Hot Italian sandwich and Grilled Chicken with Balsamic and peppers are to die for. Staff is very friendly and they like interacting with their customers. Have been going here for almost a year and half and will keep going back for their delicious foods. read more

Perrotti's is a fantastic place. The prepared foods are universally delicious - a great value for a high-quality meal. Mario and Michael clearly use good Italian recipes which are just delicious. They also are great at helping out their customers. My wife and I visit my parents who live nearby and they will take our order ahead of time and freeze it so that we can bring home some Italian goodness with us. Their meats are also great--custom meats, very fresh, and cut to order. I've enjoyed many a Christmas dinner with meat from Perrotti's. read more

They are always so friendly and helpful when choosing something to eat. They offer catering for parties and have ready made meals for last minute dinner plans. Perrotti's Far Hills - Italian sub !! - Meat Shops Near Me - Far Hills, New Jersey

I have eaten here several times and each time it has been great. I had both a hot (chicken parm) and cold (Italian sub) sandwiches here and both were excellent. A little big for lunch but were so good I ate it all. VERY fresh, excellent sub roll. Also took away a dinner of sausage and broccoli rabe pasta which was good. Very friendly staff. I work in Cranford, home of the original, still there and live in Basking Ridge where there is another location just down from the library. All consistently solid! read more

So glad I found this place. I work nearby but don't venture out for lunch much, so when I do, I need to make it count. Thankfully, this place was a slam dunk. Unless you're a local or are looking for it specifically, you might very well miss it. It's tucked away on a small side street off of another side street, so you get the idea. The place is small, but it's full of goodness. Cases of delicious prepared foods (pastas, sauces, meats, etc.), a proper butchering station with a wonderful selection of meats (the steaks look great), and a killer deli counter. They have a number of specialty sandwiches on the menu, but you can get whatever you want. As I typically do at places like this, I tried their spicy Italian combo and it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, it was so big that I could only eat half and had to save the other half for the next day. For most people, this may be normal, but for me, it's unheard of! Service was very friendly and attentive and I like the family/small business aspect of it, too. You really can't go wrong here, so as long as you can find it, they'll take care of you. I'll definitely be back. read more

I was there tonight, grabbing Chicken Romano and an order of rice balls. Great as usual and always friendly service. Thanks guys!

I have been shopping here for years. THE BEST Food I have ever had. I many times get a sandwich and I crave them ll the time and drive to for hills to get one. The meats are amazing and the best. I work for many people who love Perrottis as well. There is no better there Italian is like my grandma use to make. The staff is really amazing and have done some great platters for me. Growing up in New Jersey, going to a deli is common place. Sandwiches with chips and a soda for lunch is basically a daily ritual for people around here. With that said I can't believe I haven't heard of this place sooner. It's truly a hidden gem. It's a nice little deli/butcher shop with a great variety of prepared foods to grab and go as well as stuff to throw on a grill and cook at home for lunch or dinner. Soups, kabobs, cold cuts, pastas, breads, east coast comfort foods. I got myself something simple, a roast beef sandwich cheddar and mayonnaise with a Coca Cola to wash it down. I was satisfied. Good bread, quality Boars Head meats and cheeses, friendly service. I'm coming here for lunch more often. read more

I love this place, go here as much as possible to pick up sandwiches for lunch and prepared foods for my home. This is one of the only places that seems to be around anymore that does Italian hero sandwiches on true Italian bread, not the soft squishy bread most places use nowadays. You can pick up items for dinner here, home made salads which are huge, home made pasta, too many items to list and all of them so far have been excellent. I hope they never move, it's really some of the best food you can get in my opinion within a very large radius in the immediate area. read more

Food is quite good. HOWEVER! .... the unfriendliness of the counter guys is a HUGE turnoff. Except for Michael, but he might be the owner. They never smile and act like you're bothering them if you don't know exactly what you want. I know of two families that won't return because of their attitudes. A real shame. If things don't change, we probably won't go back either. read more

I've never purchased any meats (but they look amazing) but LOVE their sandwiches, salads and prepared foods. Angie will make whatever sandwich you want and it's always a tough choice.
