When you put a tray of food on a counter and suggest customers try it, typically one would think it means to sample it, and if one does, he shouldn't be then embarrassed, told "that's not how it works" and made to pay $4 for one piece of coconut shrimp. With that, the food is fresh and good, but pretty lame to hit up a first (and last) time customer for a misunderstanding. read more

We were so hungry after leaving the VNA Sale, we went by Yelp reviews to find this place. Ciabatta rolls were the only rolls left, so we ordered a tuna sandwich, and shared it. SO good and fresh. Not your typical tuna salad, almost tasted like chicken salad. Lettuce was so fresh, as was the roll. We were so full, we didn't have the chicken sandwich. We will enjoy it tomorrow for lunch. The only negative about this place is the signage from Rt 202, there is none. Or at least we didn't see it. We were driving around all of the parking lots because the directions told us we arrived . We then saw a small sign on the building, so we parked right in front. For the success of this business, I hope better signage will be coming. Great place! read more

From the butcher / preppred foods side - we had a huge crown of pork for Christmas. Fantastic!! Fresh, expertly cut (lots o meat!) and very well priced. The perogies and potatoes au gratin are out of this world - fresh and made in house. Deli-wise - very good sandwiches for reasonable prices (6.99) . No big sandwich menu, but there are daily specials, and you can get just about anything made. In house breaded chicken and veggies, great rolls from Calandra's, and quality Boars Head meats. While the sandwiches are not very glamorous - they are high quality and tasty. The shop has some pastas, homemade sauces, and other treats on shelves.. but the centerpiece is the cooler with prepped dishes for take-out.. its like a little wonderland of homemade goodness in there - meatballs.. stuffed shells.. rigatoni.. wings.. perogies.. chicken this/that .. the list goes on.. they have it all on their website. We saw that this spot had great reviews and felt inclined to see what the hype was about. Upon arrival we entered "in the rear@ as we couldn't find the parking lot. Needless to say this Hidden Gem has fresh food and HUGE open fridge of pre-made Italian delicacies. This is a great solid Salumeria. I had a cutlet sandwich. The cutlet, bread, cheese and dressing came together to form an excellent sandwich. I also tried their cole slaw. Also high quality, as it didn't have too much vinegar and had the right amount of juiciness. There is a great amount of prepaid foods in the giant open refrigerator. They also have meats and jarred sauce that look delicious. Besides sandwiches, lunch goers can get a salad or soup. Next time I will have to try one of their varied desserts. The best prepared foods around. Their meat (butcher) are top of the line and their prepared food that only requires you to "heat it up" are OUTSTANDING. I frequently go to Perrotti's for a sandwich at lunch from their deli, they carry all Boar's Head meats and have wonderful lunch specials. Their Hot Italian sandwich and Grilled Chicken with Balsamic and peppers are to die for. Staff is very friendly and they like interacting with their customers. So glad I found this place. I work nearby but don't venture out for lunch much, so when I do, I need to make it count. Thankfully, this place was a slam dunk. Unless you're a local or are looking for it specifically, you might very well miss it. It's tucked away on a small side street off of another side street, so you get the idea. Cases of delicious prepared foods (pastas, sauces, meats, etc.), a proper butchering station with a wonderful selection of meats (the steaks look great), and a killer deli counter. They have a number of specialty sandwiches on the menu, but you can get whatever you want. As I typically do at places like this, I tried their spicy Italian combo and it did not disappoint. As a matter of fact, it was so big that I could only eat half and had to save the other half for the next day. For most people, this may be normal, but for me, it's unheard of! Service was very friendly and attentive and I like the family/small business aspect of it, too. You really can't go wrong here, so as long as you can find it, they'll take care of you. I love this place, go here as much as possible to pick up sandwiches for lunch and prepared foods for my home. This is one of the only places that seems to be around anymore that does Italian hero sandwiches on true Italian bread, not the soft squishy bread most places use nowadays. With that said I can't believe I haven't heard of this place sooner. It's truly a hidden gem. It's a nice little deli/butcher shop with a great variety of prepared foods to grab and go as well as stuff to throw on a grill and cook at home for lunch or dinner. They never smile and act like you're bothering them if you don't know exactly what you want. I know of two families that won't return because of their attitudes. A real shame.
