First time in this restaurant due to mostl positive reviews. I had the salad special. portobello mushrooms were great. Rest of the salad was baby spinach out of a bag with shredded mozzarella cheese out of a bag. It came with nothing. Not even a piece of bread or anything else for $ 15.00. No idea how that was the lunch special? I ordered an iced tea which was mostly ice. The waitress asked if I wanted another and I said yes. When I got the bill I was shocked that I was charged for two iced tea at 3.95 each. Definitely would never order the salad or iced tea again. read more

Oscar's is a hidden gem. I was looking for a restaurant in the area and found that their menu had everything. We live thirty minutes away and took our classic car to the cruise night and to eat. We were blown away by the size of the portions. We were also blown away by how good it all was. Chef Oscar can cook. Our apps and meals were outstanding. Plus our meals came with a salad. Come hungry. Got a 10 out of 10 from everyone. Service is pleasant and quick. Prices are great. Can't wait to go back. It's our new go-to spot for special occasions. Ok, I think I've given 7 reviews in my life but I'm compelled to save people from getting ptomaine illness. From the outside, the place looks warm and nice. But the lottery sign in window should have been a warning. I usually give positive reviews so here's my take on Oscar's gourmet deli. The entrance is small with a sticky bench to wait. ( you'll get your knees hit if someone walks by). Plenty of knick knacks to look at covered in grease. Went for late breakfast. Coffee tasted like it was sieved through a sock. 1/2 & 1/2 coagulated into a ball. Eggs tasted ok, toast ok. Ham ok. Home fries dry and not good. Pre set utensils greasy. Mirrors throughout ( to make the place look big) were dirty. Restroom....now this was an adventure! Walking past dirty dishes , understandable. Then the dishwasher not being used with a plastic cover? Interesting. Restroom was like a roadside gas station but worse. Suggestion: close for a week, remove all Knick knacks, scrub down entire place and repaint. read more

Local establishment with simple decor. There is a wide range of food selections from standards to specials. With some unusual and tasty items rotating as specials. Chef also makes limited it seems great desserts. I say limited because he sometimes runs out. Still I'd rather be told that instead of being serviced a few days old portion. Delish food! Prepared with all fresh ingredients. The food is consistent and never disappoints. You can chose among many menu options and the prices are fair for the portion size. The owner takes cooking very seriously and aims to please. It doesn't matter what I get, I leave feeling very satisfied. I highly recommend eating at this little gem for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We stopped by this place with two small kids, hoping for a quick lunch.The place was kind of dark and the glass table tops were all smudged showing finger prints. Smells musty.The waiter was soft spoken, offered the drinks right away. We ordered coffee, ice tea, and OJs for kids. Drinks were alright.Coffee ok, they did not have any dairy free milk options though. Food took 25 min to come out. We ordered grill cheese and fries for kids, cubano sandwich and chicken wrap. Fries were good, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The rest of the food was just okay. Service was slow and the place just had a very boring vibe. We will not be going back. read more

I'm not one to normally write reviews. stopped at this place for lunch after apple/pumpkin picking as it was on our way home. the server 1st was not very friendly, I ordered Milk for my 3 year old son, which was expired by 3 weeks, I ordered him a grilled cheese and asked for a side of veggies in place of french fries, the veggies was freezer burnt and tasted really old. My husband ordered a burger that was overly seasoned and tasted off and not fresh. Lastly, the side of coleslaw was extremely sour and tasted like lemon juice. I honestly did not want to pay for this meal, but my husband was to embarrassed to say something. Don't eat here, we are very lucky none of us got sick! read more

The lobster bisque on the dinner menu is really delicious. Also, they have great servers who are super friendly. We stayed a little late past closing and they were super nice about it and even offered us bread pudding on the house. We declined, but they're really nice people. Atmosphere is dreary, always a bad sign, but still decided to eat here based on its undeserved 4 stars. To start off, our waitress was kind, but soft spoken and never checked up on us. She just stood at the register until she had to bring food out. For our drinks, we were served sour milk, which immediately ruined the rest of the meal. Second of all, no body busses tables, which was attracting a lot of flies and was completely disgusting. When we left, there was not a single table open because 6 were dirty. The highlight of my meal was when a couple walked in, then had to leave because there were no open tables. The food. I ordered a Western Omelette. It and the potatoes tasted like they were cooked on a dirty grill, which, given my experience so far, they probably were. The only good food I had was my second drink, which was sprite, from a can. We will definitely not be coming back and please, don't trust the 4 star rating, it's inaccurate. read more

Dinner was great. Veal Marsala was so tender it could be cut with a fork. Portion sizes are very large. Shared the Caesar salad and the meatloaf could have feed 2+ people. Service was a little slow, but I assume because cooked to order. Given how good it was, it was well worth it. read more

Let me just tell you this. 1. Oscar gives you home cooked food that reminds you of comfort. 2. The menu Isn't overwhelming but everything Is excellent and full of flavor. and I do mean everything. The meatloaf was so delicious I'm pretty sure I swallowed that shit whole. But most importantly, (to me anyway), the key lime pie here is TO DIE FOR. I literally drive over an hour to get to Oscars from my home just for the pie. Like seriously it's to die for. It's crisp like fresh lime, just enough zest to give you some bite, the whipped topping is perfectly whipped with just a hint of sweetness and the crust.... THE CRUST.. the goddamned crust can be sold as cookies alone with how buttery it is. I was unable to make the trip today but my mom was heading out I had to pay her just to get me a couple slices. Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. I was expecting a typical deli environment with a glass counter of the meats, but instead we walked into a casual diner environment. The menu was decently sized with a good selection of both hot and cold sandwiches, and other items. We ordered the lobster roll, fish and chips, and a roast beef triple decker. The lobster roll was served on a buttered roll, and lots of lobster meat! For under $9, it was definitely a great value for the amount of lobster in the roll. The fish and chips were good, the fish was tilapia, which isn't always my first choice of fish...personally like cod better. The fries that came with it were typical frozen fries, I probably should've tried substituting home fries instead. The roast beef triple decker was piled high, also served with fries. Overall it was a good value, and most of the things tasted fresh. read more

New favorite joint. The atmosphere is super cozy, small town local feel. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had, it is GODLY. So delicious. Their Chipotle mayo is phenomenal too. Super friendly and helpful staff. Overall an extremely enjoyable experience, 10/10 will return soon!! read more
