Today however, it was all cold... made perfect but not hot. Everything including the coffee was lukewarm. We have breakfast every morning we're here. Where do I even start? It took over an hour to get our food and when we got it, it was ice cold. Ever taste cold biscuits and gravy? Not very appetizing. And the cook really needs to learn how to make eggs overeasy (see my photo). The corned beef hash is from a can, which honestly was the least of my concerns. And finally, our server, Ronnie was a disaster. A little Adderall would go a long way for this lad. "Can I have some more water?" "Sure!", says Ronnie. Never came. I had to go into the kitchen and grab my own refill. "All ready for the check, Ronnie." Never came. I had to have another waitress print it out for me. And it wasn't just us. All I heard around me were cranky old codgers wondering what the heck was going on with their waiter and complaining to managers about their messed up orders. Staying at the Aquarius hotel for the 4th of July weekend and currently the buffet is closed due to Covid 19. First I would like to start with saying that they are following the Covid guidelines plus more. Everyone is with masks (they even have people walking around to give masks if you are not with one), gloves that they change all the time, people walking around remaining everyone to masks on, social distancing enforced, lines in the floor and a lot of staff cleaning all the time. I feel really secured. Line was a little long for the cafe but it kept on moving. The moment we got to the head of the line we were greeted with a smile (you could hear the smiling voice under the mask) and got set. The moment we set down our server came in and got our drink order and got it to our table within a minute. The menu currently is a one page (due to Covid) but still has a lot of variety. I got the fish and chips - I replaced the chips with onion rings (I recommend them with ranch on the side) the fish is Cod - it was great :) the person with me got the breakfast omelette with mushrooms and Swiss and said it was great :) the food came to table within 10 min fresh and hot. Our server was really nice and checked on us from time to time, she noticed our drinks were getting low and refilled them without asking. If you are a person that gets cold quickly I suggest bring something to cover up as the AC is a little strong in there. The portions are big and the price is good. I am a fan of the casino cafe that serves good meals 24-7 at a delicious price. With that said I am a fan of Cafe Aquarius (on the Riverwalk side of The Aquarius Hotel). In my honest opinion the food at Cafe Aquarius is as agreeable to the tastebuds as an overrated high-priced restaurant. Cafe Aquarius is a praiseworthy value. In the last two Saturdays, I have dined here twice. I never planned to eat here. On my way to check out the Aquarius Buffet, the sign advertising the $11.99 prime rib special stopped me. What a deal! For $11.99 Cafe Aquarius offered a cup of soup or bowl of salad, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The Aquarius Cafe was sporadically populated with patrons. This meant that I walked right in and the friendly Waitress soon took my order. In the same style as the typical cafe, the server served my beverage ahead of the Waitress taking my order. There was a decent gap in the time between the order and when the cup of chicken noodle soup arrived on the table. Worth it! They just made the chicken noodle soup and it was delicious. Still they could of added more noodles to make it above delicious. I didn't even finish the soup, when the waitress delivered a plate with prime rib, mashed potatoes with gravy, and mixed vegetables. With the exception of some fat issues, the prime rib was large and delicious. The meal ended with a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Fast forward to last Saturday, and I ate here with my brother. It was late at night, and all the restaurants from the Colorado Belle were closed or had poor Yelp ratings. And so, on my follow-up dining experience at the Aquarius Cafe, I ordered the $8.99 late night fish & chips special. It was fish & chips fit for a king. All three pieces of fish were out of this world. Ditto for the Cole slaw. And the french fries were of a high quality. Both times I dined here, a friendly hardworking Waitress took care of my table. Both waitresses were attentive with beverage refills and customer service. The soundtrack to dining in the Aquarius Cafe was oldies music. This is appropriate feel good rock n roll to listen to while enjoying a tasty meal. When it comes to desert and your not too comfortable, I suggest walking across the casino to Duet's. This is the Aquarius's former Starbuck's turned coffee & wine shop that also serves deserts. My second biggest tip for dining in the Aquarius Cafe is to sign up for the Ace card. This is the exact card of the Aquarius's sister properties The Stratosphere and Arizona Charlie's. Signing up is as easy as 1-2-3. The Ace card saves 10% off the Aquarius Cafe. This includes the advertised $11.99 Prime Rib special that totals out to $13.25 minus the Ace card. My biggest tip for dining in the Aquarius Cafe is to give it a try when you visit Laughlin. read more

During our stay in Laughlin at the Aquarius hotel and casino we dined here for breakfast before heading back to Las Vegas. This Café has really good food at decent prices and a large and varied menu to select from. I had a Denver omelet w/biscuits and gravy which is an option besides toast at no additional charge! I had coffee and was presented with my own carafe so that I could pour as I wanted and not have to wait for refills My sweetie pie had their breakfast scramble w/biscuits and gravy included as well. The food was great, cooked from scratch, and lots of it so make sure you are hungry as this is not the place to go for a lite bite. The service was prompt and friendly, we did not have to wait for anything during our visit. Use your ACE play casino card, as they do have a 10 percent discount on your meal when you present it when you pay. Winner winner chicken dinner! DO NOT EAT HERE! Let's start off with the only good thing about this place was the view of the river from the window tables. Our waiter was not friendly at all! After he took our order we never saw him again. The coffee is crap. They have no flavored creamer. The toaster broke so we were unable to have the toast that came with our meal. Ordered corn beef hash and it was completely mushy. Husband ordered sausage and eggs but nearly impossible to screw that up. What a great find in the Linq promenade. I had the chicken Caesar salad. Chicken was very good, dressing was fabulous. My husband had the french dip, it looked very good. He said it was very appetizing. The fries were "ok" some were soggy and I love fries on the crispier side. Service was impeccable. Love the ambiance of the restaurant as well. We had lunch upon our arrival at the hotel and we were seated promptly. Our food tasted pretty good. Our friend ordered the soup of the day which didn't come out with our order so we tracked down the first waitress we saw and she mentioned that our initial waitor went on break and "didn't tell her that the soup was ordered". (Her words) Shouldn't it be listed on the order ticket? I think it would have been nice for our first waitor to let us know he would be going on break and introduce the waitor who would be helping us. Breakfast the next morning was okay as well. This Cafe is tucked in the back of the Aquarius casino. We dined there twice on a 3 night stay because the food was wonderful and pricing was terrific. The Cafe is huge as it used to be the buffet. It fronts the river with floor to ceiling windows. Hours are long. We were pleasantly surprised to have prime rib, potato, veggies, soup or salad, for $18. We would have paid far more at Outback steakhouse which is next door. Place was not crowded. It was socially distanced. Able to seat large parties as a group. We returned for a wonderful pot roast at $14 and spaghetti and meatballs at $10. Spaghetti was far better than what we had the night before for $21 next door at River Rock Pizza and Pasta. The burger was cooked well, but not well seasoned, the crab was moist and flavorful, not dried out. The bearnaise was decent, but odd, with large bits of herbs. (Like HUGE bits) Service was a bit slow, and disjointed; we all got our entrees at the same time, but Aimee almost finished her sliders before she got her fries. Your food options are limited in Laughlin. You've got buffets, and those vary in quality. You've got fast food, and you know what you're getting with those. Then there are the 1-off restaurants that each hotel has. Every hotel has a diner, however. Cafe Aquarius falls under that category. Their food is always pretty good. Whether it's late night ham steak and eggs, the french dip (which I had on my most recent visit), or eggs benedict, the food is consistently a level above what most other Laughlin diners provide. The only reason i've knocked a single star off is due to service. Sometimes it can be shaky even on quiet nights. And if you're there on a holiday weekend in the summer, prepare to wait in line for an hour. read more

It was a lovely morning and a shame that the Café does not share the lovely river views as the connected Windows on the River Buffet, but no problem. It was Saturday morning, the first day of summer, and the hotels were moderately busy. At 11 am there was no wait and we were seating quickly. Sherri and I wanted a breakfast item so we ordered the "Just Right Breakfast Skillet" at $7.99 which is a layer of potatoes with onions and bell peppers with bacon, sausage and cheese with your choice of eggs. We ordered scrambled. We wanted to try the Fish and Chips that our companions had informed us were delicious. The Fish and Chips are not on the "regular" menu, nor can you find them on the Café Aquarius menu on their website. Instead, you will find it on their "Comfort Food Menu" at your table. At $8.99 Fish and Chips is a good deal in our opinion. We wanted to spit our two meals so we'd each have both breakfast and Fish & Chips. We don't remember explaining this to the waiter, but he must have been very attentive and he delivered our two entrees with a 3rd plate as a convenience. Kudos to our waiter! Fish and Chips were awesome. Fresh, favorable and 3 nice portions of fish. The French fries were fresh and perfectly cooked. The "Just Right" breakfast skillet was, as promised: JUST RIGHT. Good food. Good Service. A 24/7 casino restaurant that is consistently a better choice than many of the other 24/7 operations at neighboring properties. Highly recommended. read more

I read the reviews AFTER we ate here and from our own experience, the "sorry the kitchen is behind" excuse seems to be the problem all of the time. We had a group of 11, yes I'll give you that but food should never take an hour to come out. We all ordered basic stuff- salads, sandwiches, breakfast, soup and burgers. When we got the food we got burnt hash browns and had a side of fries missing. Those missing fries took an additional 15 minutes to get the table and by then the sandwich they went with has basically gone. One of our party even got sick and ended up puking right after dinner. Our server was nice and apologetic but it took awhile to get our drink order in (mostly waters and fountain drinks, 1 beer, 1 wine) and even longer for our food order to be put in on top of waiting an hour for the food. One person ordered another beer which took 20 minutes and the excuse was "I had to jump off a register." We did receive 25% off the bill because we spoke with the manager which is something but I will never go there again after this experience. Aquarius Cafe needs to stop with the excuses and focus on good service and a better cook staff. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. It's not worth it. read more

Not too shabby. Honestly wasn't expecting much. We were just hungry from a day out on the water and wanted food ASAP. Initially the service was a little slow. The waiters seemed confused about who was serving our table but eventually they got it together. We started with the chicken finger appetizer which was very good. Perfectly fried with Italian bread crumbs and tender. I got the prime French dip sandwich which was flavorful once dipped in the au jus sauce but the meat was a little dry. I did however love the seasoned sweet potato fries. My fiancé got the bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms. I'm not a big burger fan but I had to take a couple bites of his burger because it looked that good and surprisingly tastes just that good as well. I did not experience the service issues noted in a lot of the other reviews, though in fairness, when I ate here it was on a Wed. at 6:30-ish pm. We walked right up to the hostess stand and were sat immediately with the waitress not far behind to take our drink orders. I ordered the teriyaki burger with sweet potato fries and a diet coke w/two lemons. To my surprise, our waitress got my diet coke order exactly right (even on the refill), which is always a plus in my book since half the time when I ask for lemons, I never get them and have to ask two or three times. Our food came out pretty fast as well (but again, there were maybe only 4 or 5 tables sat in my immediate view). The food itself is pretty "dive diner-ish" in that it's edible, but nothing extraordinary. The burger was ok and the teriyaki sauce w/the swiss cheese and fried pineapple was tasty (if not a little bit too salty) and the sweet potato fries were the frozen variety, but tastefully seasoned if not just a little overcooked. For $14 with tax and tip, it was an ok meal with the majority of the cost coming from the convenience of not having to go off-property. Use your players card for a 10% discount! read more
