The owner of this little strip mall shop could not be any more friendly or personable. Just a great guy who makes you feel like a friend from the moment you walk in. The place is also very comfortable and has reading material and a nice restroom so you could stay and hang for a while if you want. We ordered the egg bagel because it was our breakfast. For $8.99 we expected a bakery fresh bagel but it appeared to be packaged bagels from the grocery store. The eggs were fresh cooked so that was good. Overall it wasn't very filling and I would order a sandwich next time. We ordered coffee to go after eating and the nice gentleman gave us a small discount. I went there just to grab some coffee. I ended up getting coffee plus avocado toast. OMG. it was the best They put tomatoes on top. I don't know where they got those tomatoes but dang they were good. The service was amazing I did get the gentleman's name that helped me but so very nice. The place is very clean and inviting. If I could give it more stars I would. Came into Morning Joy looking for a quick and healthy breakfast. Nick and Kalysta were so amazing! They had a gluten free option for all of their sandwiches. They were kind and helpful. It was one of those experiences where you hoped you weren't traveling because you would want this Cafe to visit every morning in your home town. It felt like such a pleasant community. The regulars were all in a great mood and it was fun to watch them all come together on a Sunday morning to catch up and hang out. The sandwiches were so satisfying. My family and I all had breakfast, coffee, and smoothies here this morning. Our overall experience was excellent. The gentleman working was very friendly and polite. He was patient with our large order and was very fast getting everything out to us. Everything was clean and pleasant to sit and enjoy our order. Nice addition to our neighborhood. Run by David Lewis, he has the best early morning options on this side of the River, open from 5:30 to 2:30 daily. The coffee is both a) high quality b) cheaper than Starbucks. Nice selection of pastries. Worth the hike away from the casinos. read more

While visiting I had the pleasure of stopping in a couple of times for coffee here. My specialty coffee was GREAT, much better than I am used to in my area. Service great, and nice people who frequent the place daily for a fun chat or two. Also, I purchased a smoothie with protein and it was very good and healthy also.
