Ordered here since we were visiting for the day. Ordered a tall caramel macchiato for hubs and what was supposed to be a venti ice blonde latte with only 4 pumps of syrup for me. I paid with my app, but when I got my order, my balance was down more than normal (I order this same order A LOT!) I said something to the barrista and she said 'it's because we are a casino.' no, that's not it. I live in Las Vegas and order from the casino at South Point all of the time. When I checked my receipt, I found out why the cost discrepancy. It turns out she didn't make my order as a custom order that I told her instead she charged me for a hot latte and customizing with four pumps of syrup and up charged me $1.15 for that order. We went to this location as it was right inside the Harah's hotel & casino. It does take a little bit to get the drinks, but they do accept mobile order. We went here a few times and the beverages tasted fresh, consistent, and the staff was extremely friendly. It is a typical Starbucks and has that overall vibe. My wife enjoys Starbucks breakfast sandwiches in the morning when we are on vacation. She availed herself of this location in Harrah's several times the last several days. They decided to shut down taking orders for people who were standing in line because they were overwhelmed with the mobile orders which is understandable but 20 minutes into it. I'm assuming the manager wearing a green shirt. A guy with a ponytail brown hair came in to help. They were out of ice so they decided to fill up the ice. Now at this time the line going out of the Starbucks was all the way back to the casino area. Still not taking orders. So we were standing there a minimum of 20 minutes. Made a simple comment like we're ready to give our order. The guy with the ponytail and a lady with two different colors of hair blonde and possibly red said goodbye. My wife and I were visiting and went in for coffee. We ordered two coffees. The bill for her latte and my small coffee was $17, which is $1.15 over what we usually pay. We didn't notice this until after we received our coffee. My wife asked if the bill was correct and without looking at the receipt the barista's immediate response was this, "we are a casino so it costs more'. We were astounded. We live in Las Vegas, the "home of casinos" and we use several Starbucks Coffee shops in every casino up and down the strip. We have never heard that said before. The $1.15 up charge was my wife "customizing" her order by asking for less shots of vanilla than the normal amount they put in it, which is ridiculous in itself. But it's not the money, it's the statement the barista made, and she did it with conviction, "we are a casino so it costs more". This is how unsuspecting tourists get taken advantage of. read more

First off, let me say that I frequently visit laughlin. With that being said, I stated harrahas casino, once until I found it to be unbelievably uninhabitable. So I went back this time and I stayed at another casino within laughlin, and I wanted some starbucks coffee. I head over to starbucks inside of harrhas, and come to find the line was out the door and there was a lady with blonde hair and different colors, very obnoxious and very rude, and she was instructing everybody that if she has shut down the cash register, she has shut down all in house orders, because she was so slammed with mobile order, she couldn't take no more orders. To me, that makes no sense. Why would you take mobile orders when you have paying guests at the hotel that y come first? So I'm standing in line for like 15 minutes, and she's screaming behind the counter. I can't handle this. I can't take this. All of you guys are going to have to leave. We're not going to serve you. So I said to the individual behind the line, and I don't know her name, nor do I care to know her name because she is so rude. We have been customers standing in this line for over 15 minutes and she said i'm sorry, but i'm not gonna serve you. You could all exit. So we left and as we were all leaving, she was clapping saying, finally, I get to get all these people out of here. So I will never, ever come back to the starbucks. Don't patronize the starbucks, don't even entertain the hotel because it is awful, it's disgraceful, it's become very crime ridden. People were standing around waiting for their orders. ACTUAL STARS: 3.5 Stars The Starbucks at Harrah's Hotel in Laughlin, NV, was pretty dreary looking up until its newly remodeled digs in the old Starbucks' exact location. I like the more modern and brighter look, but I miss the seating, which used to be front and center. I say, in with the new and keep some of the old. I hope that the employees here also bring a new attitude into the workplace and the newly updated decor. The baristas here were never very friendly or customer-oriented in the past. And when I was here the other day, the girl behind the counter wasn't particularly nice or helpful. Let's give it some time before the newly modernized and much brighter Starbucks makes the employees here more colorful, hopefully. And I might add, being a hotel-owned [not corporate] Starbucks does come with some extra costs to the customer, but flash your Caesar Rewards Card to the cashier, and the pain at the register won't be as severe. There are no stand alone Starbucks in Laughlin, Nevada. You have to go into one of three casinos that have one. The last morning in Laughlin, while I was waiting for my friends who were staying at Harrahs, I stopped by early and went to this outlet. The order was taken quickly and brought to me in good time. The price was higher just as it is in most outlets that are not manned by Starbucks personnel. The drink was what I expected and it helped me be more alert after a poor night of sleep. Wow. I'm a very loyal Starbucks consumer but my visit here was very disappointing. When I went in to redeem my free coffee today on my Birthday I was told this location "is a third party" Starbucks and doesn't accept any offers on the app. When I asked to redeem stars, I was told I couldn't do that either. When a company advertises the name and brand they should stand behind that name and offer up the same experience everywhere. Starbuckers beware of this location. In addition to the outrageous cost, it took pretty close to 20 minutes to produce I have no issues with the quality of the food or drink. But if they don't improve their customer service, Harrah's should look into putting in a Krispy Kreme. I saw a sign for the buffet. But I saw no evidence that it was in operation. After drinking a cup, I was all geared up and ready to go. This place kept me afloat every morning. This Starbucks is as good as any, very conveniently located inside casino near front door and check in. I come here often and usually experience a very short wait. If they're busy another barista comes to the rescue , which is nice. The goodies and fruit are always fresh, as is the coffee. It was a Starbucks and decent I only went here once on our most recent trip. My coffee was great, and properly made. This is a limited franchise Starbucks; they don't have all the food variety a free-standing Starbucks has; no breakfast sandwiches or other stuff like that. Limited breakfast sweet items available. I did not return because I could not re-load my Starbucks Gold card. I paid for my single drink with what was on my card and then had to pay the rest in cash. I got no credit for the cash portion towards Starbucks Rewards. Good: Drink was great! Bad: they will use the cash on your Starbucks card, but cannot re-load the card.
