The service from Cheryl on 03/02/26 at Cafe Aquarius was horrible. we were seated about 15 minutes before my husband had to get up and ask our waitress for coffee after that the waitress was rude and purposely made us wait 45 minutes before we got our food which was cold when we finally got it. several tables that had come in after us had eaten their meal and left before we even got our meals. unacceptable behavior, she said she would gladly send the manager over like 3 times we finally got up and proceeded to the counter to pay then the so called manager arrived she was so unprofessional didn't even want to listen to us about our experience wasn't even interested at all. very sad because we had such great service other times we had dined there. we won't be back! read more

I came here last night for dinner. I had the ham and eggs special for $10. I was happy with my food. The ham was very good. My waiter did a good job. This is a nice restaurant inside the casino with a beautiful view of the river. I will come here again. The menu has a lot to offer. I might come back for breakfast next time. read more

Everything was wrong except for, they did serve us steak, potatoe and vegetables for $7.99. How could I complain, you ask? Well let me start. We checked the time the restaurant closed as did many other people in the long line. At 8:40pm, a restaurant employee came and made an announcement that the restaurant was closing at 9pm. I turned to my husband and said it says 10pm online. The person behind me said he checked and it's 10pm. Several people left right away, some decided to risk not being seated. Come to find out that the staff made the decision to make it a "last seated" is 9pm because the restaurant is supposed to be closed at 10pm and they don't get overtime. They want all their stations empty, cleared and all their work done by 10pm. That is not supposed to happen like that. The food: terrible. My husband and I ordered steaks rare and medium rare with mashed potatoes and veggies. The couple next to us ordered the exact same steaks with baked potatoes and veggies. All 4 dishes came on one trolly to save time for the waitress. She mixed up the steaks. The husbands were given rare and the wives medium, which was backwards. Keep in mind, we don't know them. The other guy maybe you have medium and I have your rare so they switched. My husband said his steak says rare so we switched. Now the wife says to me, it's still not rare. I said mine isn't either but also, we ordered mashed potatoes and both of us got baked. The waitress literally didn't care what any of us order, what they served us, didn't get refills, couldn't order dessert and it was only 9:30pm. 50% of the steak was grisly and inedible. Myself and the other wife left almost 100% of our food. Another elderly couple asked for dessert and was told they could get them something to go. It was only 9:15 when they asked. Our bill was less than $18 but only 1 of us ate and he didn't enjoy it and the service left us feeding completely unwelcome and valued as a customer. I know they have an amazing special going on for a short period of time but this service won't change when the special is over. We actually passed the same lady who made the announcement at 8:40. She smiled and said I am glad you got seated, I actually hit my goal of clearing the line in time.......And that was the nail in the coffin. We didn't matter. The restaurant hours didn't matter. The service didn't matter. The quality of food or even the correct food didn't matter. All that mattered was flipping the lights off at 10pm because there is no overtime. Good ranch!!! A mega plus!! Irma is A super star! So kind, prompt, and busy!! Multiple tables and all of them treated well. The Pancake I ordered is just ok, honestly it tastes cheap not like a fresh buttermilk mix. Eggs and hashbrown as well are just ok. The food is just OK. But the service is good. Price is fair. This is located inside the Aquarius Casino in Laughlin, NV. This used to be their buffet where I had one of the best Friday night Seafood buffets. Sadly, the buffet is not coming back. Place is wide, airy and with a good view of the Colorado River. Staff is friendly. I have eaten here within the last couple of weeks on the days they have concerts. Had their ribeye steak and eggs with sides of hash browns and biscuits and gravy. The steak was a perfectly cooked medium-rare and the eggs sunny side up and a little runny. Just the way I like it. Biscuits and gravy was okay. Also had their Avocado BLT sandwich with tater tots.... Chocked full of bacon. Loved it. Had their Fish and Chips last night. It was lightly battered, moist, and I liked it. Only drawback.... Very small side of cole slaw. Prices are very reasonable but the menu is not that extensive. Just enough for most folks. This is the coffee shop for the Aquarius Hotel in Laughlin. It's a very large cafe, more so than most I've seen. I had not been here in my previous stays at the Aquarius so I decided to give it a go this time. I was in the cafe about 8 AM. There were a number of people having breakfast but it was not a large number. I was taken to a seat in the "front" of the cafe which is the section that looks directly out to Laughlin's Riverwalk. While you could see some of the outside, the shades were drawn because the sun in the east was directly beaming into the restaurant. After being seated, a server asked about coffee and I was brought a cup and tall thermos of coffee. This was a good way to start out. After giving me a few minutes to look over the menu, I ordered the classic eggs Benedict with hash browns. Enjoying my coffeee and watching some people as they walked or jogged, my breakfast was soon brought to me. It was classic eggs Benedict and it weas very standard. The Canadian bacon was thin. The poached eggs were done well. I'm sure the Hollandaise sauce was from a can but it was tasty and the breakfast was good. The thermos of coffee was great because I had no place I needed to go touring so I took my time and had several cups. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again be it breakfast or lunch. read more

I honestly felt like I was treated differently. The person didn't even smile or say a word, they just handed me my drink in a way that felt rushed or careless, almost like they were throwing it at me. They didn't even offer a straw. I couldn't help but notice they were much friendlier and more polite with other people. read more

His breakfast had bacon and it was rubber. Our waitress said they can't make it crispy because they bake 50# at a time in the oven. WTH. What could improve? Everything. This is my experience on 3-31-25. I walk up as the hosts went to seat a large party and she never returned. A supervisor noticed I had been waiting a relatively long time, came over and seated me. After being seated, I waited so long that I nearly got up and left. Luckily they dropped some water at my table and made me feel like I was going to be attended to. Finally, a waitress who I'm sure is overworked because staffing seems to be relatively low asked me if I wanted coffee, I said yes and after a short wait it appeared and I gave my order. Keep in mind if you like creamer with your coffee you have to ask for it., because cause it's not on the table. If you don't ask for it when you get your coffee. Good luck. You're going to have a hard time getting your waitress to come by the table. Finally my order arrives. Denver omelet, hashbrowns, & biscuit and gravy. Omelet was ok, potatoes under done, biscuit and gravy stone cold. Asked three times for coffee refill before I got one. On conclusion I'm sorry I didn't walk next door to either the Regiency or the Riverside. Avoid, there are better choices. read more

We went for breakfast fairly early on a Sunday. We were seated promptly, and Susannah took great care of us as our server. She was on top of refills and making sure we had everything we needed (3 kinds of hot sauce, yum!) Unfortunately, I was hungry and didn't take pictures, but the breakfast was a good value, pretty decent diner fare. The bacon was perfectly crispy, probably the best we've ever had at a restaurant. The scrambled eggs were nice and creamy, the poached eggs were done perfectly, the biscuits and gravy were good (I've had better, but it was still pretty good), the coffee is good, too. At $4, it better be. The hashbrowns and corned beef hash are pretty standard but good. The sausage potatoes were just ok, but not bad. I would definitely come back! Update, we did come back. This place is a gem. The portions are good, the spaghetti, my kids just LOVE, and the prime rib was much better than the overpriced steaks at Outback (but that's another review...). The server was really funny and witty and quick to get our order ready. He brought some crackers for the kids to keep busy until their food arrived and he pushed for their food to arrive first (he must've been a dad...). The buffet was closed, so it was off the menu only. But he food was tasty, reasonably priced and the place was clean. The view of the river was a plus and we were able to get seated quickly. I ordered the Rubens for $10, who sells Rubens in 2022 for $10 with a view of the river, we dined next to the river for nothing. The Chicken Fried Steak breakfast is as good as Cracker Barrel, but for $13, it's a serious contender. The steak was moist, eggs were perfect and comes with a side of biscuit and gravy for $13. The Chocolate Malt shake was something from the 50s with the cherry on top for $5. WTH.. This place has pre COVID pricing, for what you are paying, this is the BEST deal on the River. While visiting the Casino I had an impromptu opportunity with friends to eat at the cafe. I ordered an open faced turkey dinner with all the fixings. I was surprised at the generous amount of food and it tasted great. The turkey was moist and delicious. The sides(veggies,mashed potatoes, stuffing,bread cranberry sauce) were wonderful. I spit it out and took another bite...more raw pork skin. Needless to say, I did not finish the salad. In addition, we ordered jalapeño bites and the coating was so hard it could not be penetrated with a fork. I went there to get a quick breakfast early in the morning. After getting sat a server came up within minutes to take my order and I kept it simple and ordered the first thing I saw on their deal menu and ordered the 777 Breakfast combo that has been advertised all over the casino. He asked how I wanted my eggs and if I wanted bacon or sausage. After a short wait my meal arrives and I am in the middle of working so I have a few bites while answering emails. After a while we got to the end of the service and a second server drops off a check while I am still eating. When I take a look I realize that the meal I am being billed for is almost 3 times the amount of what I had ordered. I asked the server that dropped off the check if he had brought me the correct ticket and pointed out the mistake and he said he would have to ask the original server. When the original server comes back he's got some attitude about him and says he doesn't understand what's wrong and that I had ordered the griddle combo that came with French toast. I understand he has plenty of tables but this is my first meal of the day and I am completely lucid, I know what I ordered I tell him that is incorrect and that he only ever asked what eggs I wanted and if I preferred bacon or sausage. He disagrees with me again and says he is sure he heard me ask for the combo. I guess someone has had a long day. They eventually bring over a manager and she says because I have already eaten the food they cannot change the price I will be charge but she can offer me a $7 discount. Whoopie! So yeah my breakfast quickly became a near $20 mistake that I got to pay for. Oh well. It was our third time visiting Cafe Aquarius. We come for the chicken wings which are amazing, usually the staff is okay with service. But not this time around. The hostess Connie was rude, she walked up to us holding menus and was literally like an inch away from my face..when I (the guest) had to finally say hello. She replied hi with a side of huff in her voice. That's a big no no in the service industry. The host should be the one to do the initial greeting first, as the host you're the first interaction that the guest has with the restaurant. I asked to be sit next to the view with the river. I looked around and saw to the far left that there was a dirty table. That she could have said give me a sec, I'll get someone to clean it off, do you mind waiting...this wasn't the case. " I'll see what I can do." In an annoyance voice. Like jeez who pissed in your Cheerios! If you hate your job that much..find a new. Or maybe Connie would be a perfect fit in BOH definitely not FOH..and btw we did not get the table close to the water. We ordered the mushroom swiss omelette and the BALT samwich. The omelette was bland but the samwich was really good also the fries. The host was also noy friendly or inviting. Seems to be the common thing in this hotel with staff. Prices were fair. We sat by the window with a river view and id recomend if the blinds are down not sitting next to the window as the bugs are all over it inside and out. read more

Do NOT have Mindy as your server!! We were there for the past holiday weekend (Wednesday-Sunday) and we were tired of eating panda, McDonald's and subway so we went here for breakfast. Let me start off by saying these stars I'm giving are only for the FOOD itself. We got biscuit and gravy. It was so fresh and then we got the French toast.. it was plain but sooooooo delicious. Also a coffee and a Dr Pepper. But from the moment we sat... it took awhile to get our drink order.. it took awhile for the drinks to get back (and she forgot what my husband wanted) so when she came back we made sure to order the food!! (Keep in mind she came around maybe every 20 minutes, from placing drink order to bringing drinks.. food took longer to come out) Our server didn't have a personality at all! The seemed like she could have possibly been having a bad day... was over worked or just completely hated her job.. never smiled. Seemed like whenever someone in her section called her over she was impatient... like she had other things better to do. My husband had a long night of course it being a casino so he just wanted to get the ticket and pay and kinda walk around and go outside to get fresh air while me and the baby ate.. so when she walked by I asked her for the check. She looked irritated and at our table thinking like well you haven't even got your food yet. And I told her my husband just wants to pay for our meal so he can go outside.. I gave her her tip there cash as well and she just put the ticket down on the table took the cash and walked away. No thank you or anything SO food comes I'm eating check is already paid for. (Eggs came out wrong) she 2nd guessed me untill she looked at her little book that I did order my eggs a certain way... goes to fix the problem. We're already done with our meal by the time the eggs come back.. but she had already walked away so I couldn't grab a box.. The two tables next to us need boxes so when they flagged her down for boxes she walked to the server station talking under her breath... that's when I realized she must clearly hate her job. I get bad that I was so bothered by this.. but I as well needed a box.. so I said Mindy. Can we get a box as well. I must of pushed her over the edge cus she didn't even bring us box back I think she has the hostess do it. At that point I told the hostess our concern... about Mindy.. she apologized and must of went straight into the server sections and told Mindy what we said because over the wall we heard " WELL IF THEY WOULD OF JUST WAITED 5 MORE MINUTES THEY WOULD OF GOTTEN THE SERVICE THEY DESERVED" UM NO Mindy! If you ever read this. Your working customer service. You provide friendly customer service from the moment you great the tables! Not if we waited 5 more minutes once our food was already DONE cus we waited out WHOLE visit for you to be nice!! But once I hear her say that all rude over on the other side of the wall... it took every ounce of me to not just make a scene get management or anyone involved. You did not deserve your tip. You do not deserve your job! You definitely don't deserve a nice station by the window that's prob most Requested! And you don't deserve any more service if you don't change your attitude!!
