For my first breakfast in Waikiki, I stopped by this food truck since it was within walking distance of my Air Bnb (in Waikiki Banyan). I ordered the scramble croissant which tasted delicious with the cream cheese, I would've just served a little less arugula with it. For my drink I got the iced lavender matcha which was yummy and a nice combination of flavors. The food came out pretty quickly and we sat outdoor on their nearby benches. It's located by other food trucks so it's a shared seating space. Overall, I enjoyed my time here read more

Hawaiian Mana coffee was smooth. Definitely worth stopping by to try the coffee. Cinnamon flavor is subtle and coffee is not overly sweet. Acai bowls are what you expect from a quality acai bowl: fresh, flavorful, refreshing. Service is friendly (-ish) but takes a while. Spot is a bit noisy from street traffic, but convenient to local hotels. Utensils are 100% Compostable but wrapped in plastic read more

Cafe Alani - Salmon croissant scramble - Creperies Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

This little coffee stand is tucked away in a more residential section on Kūhiō. I ordered an iced Hawaii Mana coffee. Service was brusque--not necessarily rude but a definite contrast to what you normally get around Waikiki. The coffee had potential in terms of the flavors they added to it, but the execution was off. It was watered down enough that I assume they mixed ice and hot ingredients too quickly. Additionally, they sprinkled cinnamon on top and then put the lid on the drink and it was....not attractive (see picture). If I were creating drinks that could be made iced and knew that I would be serving them a lot, I'd probably rethink how the drink was made. Given that the prices at this place were comparable to other coffee/smoothie places, I'd only go back if absolutely necessary. read more

They substituted cheap hot dog for real sausage in my breakfast, I was disappointed. Otherwise, the acai bowl was good. The salmon omelette was nice and fluffy. Fresh greens were good too read more

I loved the outdoor area that this cafe was in, and it was within walking distance to where my husband and I stayed in Waikiki. I have a 3 star rating for them because the matcha I ordered from them tasted only okay. I also do not know what was going on in their kitchen area, and I know there were only a couple of orders in front of me, but they took about 20 minutes to complete my matcha order. I was not in any rush, but just wanted to explain my rating. I honestly probably would not have minded going there again though to try their other things ! read more

Worst Mediterranean food I ever had. We ordered one chicken shawarma and one beef shawarma. The chicken was not shawarma chicken, it was just boiled chicken and wrapped in a pita bread, no shawarma flavors or spices. The beef was not seasoned and was not flavored with the shawarma spices either. Neither the chicken nor the beef were cooked on the shawarma spit or the standard shawarma rotating machine. The place is very expensive ant food was not worth $3 dollars. The chicken was $21 and the beef was $24. I wouldn't pay $4 for both of them. The signs with the pictures and the prices did not have a clear $ price on them, I found out how much when the guy was ringing up the order. Also, the food took too long, over 45 minutes and we were the only ones eating!!! I would never go back again, not every one who has a shawarma sign on his restaurant knows how to make shawarma. read more

Most definitely recommend this place, specially if you're looking for a breakfast place for kids. I love how their food isn't too salty and seasoned like most restaurants. It almost tasted like a homemade breakfast but of course better prepared and much more delicious. The side of the sausage we ordered was yummy. For Scramble Crepe I asked to make it only with eggs and Crepe and it was pretty good as simple as it was! I definitely suggest to try A Sweet Tooth and Bacon Egg croissant. I don't know much about the dine in environment and sitting situation since we had it picked up and delivered. read more

I loved the aesthetic of this small breakfast place. Their coffee was amazing and their food was tasty and affordable. I got the pesto sandwich. It was a solid meal and made my tummy very happy:) The pesto was yummy. I could have done without the turkey but I appreciated that it made the sandwich more filling. I would recommend this place for a morning meal and coffee:) read more

You absolutely can't miss this spot during your time in Waikiki! The scrambled croissant with smoked salmon is bursting with flavor and simply divine. I also highly recommend trying the sweet tooth crepe and the iced Hawaii Mana--both are amazing! Enjoy! read more

This place is a great little breakfast/lunch spot. Super cute atmosphere, plenty of seating and delicious food & drinks. We've come here twice this week even though I try to not repeat restaurants while on vacations. Everything my family has had were great. Highly recommend! read more

Located in a little nook with 3 other food trucks, as all the best finds are. The sweet crepe had the perfect balance of filling and fruit. The salmon croissant was a delicious take on the classic lox bagel with crunchy cucumbers and plentiful salmon, cream cheese and avocado. In a town full of açaí bowls, this one stood out: granola on the bottom for the perfect last few bites, and all freshly cut fruit. Speedy and friendly service too! read more

This is a follow up to my first review, I finally got a waffle from Cafe Alani, WOW, I got it plain to really see the flavors, just maple syrup is how I like my waffle. Very lovely spot that have become my go to place for breakfast during my stay in Honolulu. Really enjoyed getting omelet or pancakes there, the ingredients are great and food is always fresh. We stopped in late, right as they were closing up and they served us anyways. These are the people who make the world a better place by being kind. Came here 4 years ago and was amazing, and couldn't wait to come back! Finally I was able to make it back to Oahu, and it was just as delicious as it was 4 years back! Thank you for being one of my favorite pieces of Hawaii read more

Extremely slow service. I read other reviews about servers being rude. Didn't really experience that but what tipped me over was the slow service and the lack of care. We ordered a coffee, a granola bowl, a crepe, and a waffle. It cost over $50 and we waited over 45 mins. There was only 1 person who ordered before us. I would have brushed it off as a bad day but the person who ordered a granola bowl after us got their food before we did. The server did explain that their waffle maker was broken and had to remake it a couple of times, but this information didn't come until after already waiting 30 mins and my 5 year old was crying from hunger and we wanted to cancel the order. That poor experience aside, their food quality was decent. The coffee tasted good but I finished it while waiting for our food. The crepe was well made but there was no sauce or seasoning on the wrapped ingredients inside so overall it tasted bland. Granola bowl was standard, no complaints but also nothing to write home about. Waffle was beautiful when it finally came out and tasted great. Would we go back? No. We're here to enjoy time with family, not stand around a food stand waiting for overpriced food. read more

The worst acai bowl I have ever had in Hawaii. I threw it into the trash . There used to be another cafe here called BrewFoam, and it has perfect acai bowl at that time！So sad that it closed. Now the store has become this alaniCafe, which is unpalatable and staff work very slow. Acai should be sprinkled with honey on top of the fruit, rather than mixing honey and acai together. The way to make acai is to stir acai with bananas and various fruits. The natural sweetness is just right. And the fruit on it was very stale. The blueberries were already limp, （look the picture ）strawberries looked like they had been there for many days! and both fruit size is not right they are too small for this size of the bowl。 The granola was very soft and moist. You should store the finished granola in an airtight box so it doesn't get wet. I can't believe I'm here teaching how to make acai. read more

Hands down best coffee in Waikiki. Everytime we come back we always try to test a new coffee spot everyday and I might have to add this one to my every visit stop. I almost skipped it, it's small and on a corner and easy to miss, overshadowed but the shrimp and hot dogs and poke... plus I wanted to try the pistachio milk coffee, but they were out, so I was bummed. But the friendly woman at the register said she recommends the Hawaiian mana, it was so good, I could drink these all day long like water. I'll be back :) read more

This little outdoor cafe saved my coffee journey! I tried to go to three other places nearby and none were actually open and the one on the main strip had a huge line. I appreciated they had a sign in the street that said coffee so it was easier to find them. I had the salmon croissant and it was delicious as was my latte with pistachio milk. Really, really slow. I only ordered a drip coffee and it took about 30 minutes. And he didn't care.

Slow service. Not even kind service. On top of that - I FOUND A BLONDE HAIR IN MY FOOD. Two girls were working and the one in the back was small and blonde. No hair nets or anything back there. They offered to remake it but still the thought that I ate some until that part was so gross. My favorite coffee on O'ahu! I tried to replicate it at other places both around the island and since being home but Cafe Alani is just too good! They are very much on "island time" as we got there after they opened a few times and they weren't quite "open", but I didn't mind after trying the coffee our first day. Friendly service and despite not trying the food; what I saw looked delicious. There is a small outdoor seating area but no interior if you're looking for a more sit-down type breakfast. read more

Cafe Alani - Iced Macadamia Latte - Creperies Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I went to Cafe Alani for a nice breakfast after a solo walk on the beach. With that being said, I go to order and the lady working at the front was very unhelpful. I had to tell her I ordered the crepe instead of the waffle and was getting frustrated. I then waited 20 minutes to get my crepe and it was cold. The cherry on top was that they ran out of forks, I was forced to eat with a knife and a spoon for a CREPE. On top of this, it was placed on a small paper material the knife ripped through. This place earns 2 stars from me because of the cute area it was in. I don't recommend this restaurant. The food was not good. read more
