This little coffee stand is tucked away in a more residential section on Kūhiō. I ordered an iced Hawaii Mana coffee. Service was brusque--not necessarily rude but a definite contrast to what you normally get around Waikiki. The coffee had potential in terms of the flavors they added to it, but the execution was off. It was watered down enough that I assume they mixed ice and hot ingredients too quickly. Additionally, they sprinkled cinnamon on top and then put the lid on the drink and it was....not attractive (see picture). If I were creating drinks that could be made iced and knew that I would be serving them a lot, I'd probably rethink how the drink was made. Given that the prices at this place were comparable to other coffee/smoothie places, I'd only go back if absolutely necessary. read more

Worst Mediterranean food I ever had. We ordered one chicken shawarma and one beef shawarma. The chicken was not shawarma chicken, it was just boiled chicken and wrapped in a pita bread, no shawarma flavors or spices. The beef was not seasoned and was not flavored with the shawarma spices either. Neither the chicken nor the beef were cooked on the shawarma spit or the standard shawarma rotating machine. The place is very expensive ant food was not worth $3 dollars. The chicken was $21 and the beef was $24. I wouldn't pay $4 for both of them. The signs with the pictures and the prices did not have a clear $ price on them, I found out how much when the guy was ringing up the order. Also, the food took too long, over 45 minutes and we were the only ones eating!!! Most definitely recommend this place, specially if you're looking for a breakfast place for kids. I love how their food isn't too salty and seasoned like most restaurants. It almost tasted like a homemade breakfast but of course better prepared and much more delicious. The side of the sausage we ordered was yummy. The salmon croissant was a delicious take on the classic lox bagel with crunchy cucumbers and plentiful salmon, cream cheese and avocado. Extremely slow service. I read other reviews about servers being rude. Didn't really experience that but what tipped me over was the slow service and the lack of care. We ordered a coffee, a granola bowl, a crepe, and a waffle. It cost over $50 and we waited over 45 mins. There was only 1 person who ordered before us. I would have brushed it off as a bad day but the person who ordered a granola bowl after us got their food before we did. The server did explain that their waffle maker was broken and had to remake it a couple of times, but this information didn't come until after already waiting 30 mins and my 5 year old was crying from hunger and we wanted to cancel the order. That poor experience aside, their food quality was decent. The coffee tasted good but I finished it while waiting for our food. The crepe was well made but there was no sauce or seasoning on the wrapped ingredients inside so overall it tasted bland. Granola bowl was standard, no complaints but also nothing to write home about. Waffle was beautiful when it finally came out and tasted great. Would we go back? No. We're here to enjoy time with family, not stand around a food stand waiting for overpriced food. read more

The worst acai bowl I have ever had in Hawaii. I threw it into the trash . There used to be another cafe here called BrewFoam, and it has perfect acai bowl at that time！So sad that it closed. Now the store has become this alaniCafe, which is unpalatable and staff work very slow. Acai should be sprinkled with honey on top of the fruit, rather than mixing honey and acai together. The way to make acai is to stir acai with bananas and various fruits. The natural sweetness is just right. And the fruit on it was very stale. The blueberries were already limp, （look the picture ）strawberries looked like they had been there for many days! and both fruit size is not right they are too small for this size of the bowl。 The granola was very soft and moist. You should store the finished granola in an airtight box so it doesn't get wet. I can't believe I'm here teaching how to make acai. read more

This little outdoor cafe saved my coffee journey! I tried to go to three other places nearby and none were actually open and the one on the main strip had a huge line. I appreciated they had a sign in the street that said coffee so it was easier to find them. I had the salmon croissant and it was delicious as was my latte with pistachio milk. I went to Cafe Alani for a nice breakfast after a solo walk on the beach. With that being said, I go to order and the lady working at the front was very unhelpful. I had to tell her I ordered the crepe instead of the waffle and was getting frustrated. I then waited 20 minutes to get my crepe and it was cold. The cherry on top was that they ran out of forks, I was forced to eat with a knife and a spoon for a CREPE. On top of this, it was placed on a small paper material the knife ripped through.
