Rich, filling, and exactly what you want in the morning. Only gripe? The orange juice. I was fully expecting fresh squeezed and instead got bottled. Mild betrayal. I'll recover. Victoria went with the Mexican Quesadilla, Mike crushed the Mexican Burrito with a cinnamon roll on the side, and Travis had the Mexican Omelette. They're supposedly known for their barbecue, they also make a good breakfast. Local favorite . Casual dining with plenty of booths, tables and chairs. My server was quick efficient and friendly. I went with a 1/2 a order of biscuits and gravy. With overeasy eggs and sub home fries for meat. Eggs werel perfectly cooked.Everything else arrived nice and hot. My husband does business a lot in Vero Beach so my kids and I will usually kill some time while he is working. My son and I stumbled on this restaurant and we are so glad we did. Service was quick and very attentive and the food was awesome! I had the prime rib with loaded potato and green beans and my son had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese. Everything came out quick and was delicious! I definitely recommend trying this place! I brought leftovers to my husband and now he wants to go there and try it. Greeted immediately upon entering and took a sat @ the bar as I was solo. Wendy checked in with me very quickly for my drink order. Returned with that and a menu. The guys next to me shared their experiences and favorites. My first time in and I liked it already. Wendy came back shortly asked if I had any questions and gave me tonight's specials. I ordered one of them being the 1/2 smoked chicken with 2 sides. One of my bar buddies said the cole slaw was good so I got that and the baked beans. Before I knew it my dinner was in front of me. I dug in to the quarter first and the meat was falling off the bone. Slaw spot on, beans had some pulled pork in em, so yummy! House made homemade pies that I passed on but they looked great. Solid unassuming breakfast spot. We were told that the kitchen was a bit backed up when we stopped in for breakfast, but it ended up much quicker than we anticipated. The service was all around solid, though there was a momentary mixup in what was ordered that was remedied quickly. The food itself is good - the pancakes are enormous and filling, sausages are very tasty and eggs were done right. The only thing is that it's not really built for parties larger than 4. The tables felt a little tight even with 4 and a child at the end. Other than that, it's definitely worth the stop for breakfast, even if it's busy! read more

Okay. Based on the reviews as of lately, I thought the food from here would be a safe bet. But no! It was terrible! My friends ordered with burger with bacon and mushrooms on rye. I took one small taste and was shocked by the salt! Beyond salty. Inedible. My choice was the platter of sliced pork with fries and slaw. The pork was in no way sliced and it resembled a pile of stuck together bacon-like fatty pork. Gross. The fries were obviously crinkle cut frozen variety, undercooked. The slaw was fair. The hostess, who took our take away order was efficient and very pleasant, however. So, the slaw, hostess and garlic toast brought the rating up to a two. Nothing else was good. But the dining space did appear clean. Maybe breakfast would be better. This just isn't my kind of food either! For that reason, chances are slim on a return there. read more

Go easy on the pepper, it's sausage gravy not pepper gravy. The servers are nice, the place is clean, food is fresh. The biscuits and gravy tasted like they dumped the pepper shaker in there, the pepper made me choke and it overpowered the sausage so you don't even taste the sausage not that there's much in there to taste. I really like this place and highly recommended before but today me and my husband is a bit disappointed the quality/taste is a lit difference than before and i saw the bus boy is wiping the table and after that he use the rug to wipe the condiments and he accidentally pour the water on the floor and he uses paper towel instead of a floor mop and this is dangerous for the customers and table is a bit sticky as well (sanitation is a must on all the restaurant's) im sorry but i think this will be the last time we dine in at cafe 66 read more

The server was very friendly and came to the table more than expected, Which is good when your drink gets low! They had serval televisions that were all on different stations, which I like. Delicious barbecue! We're staying in an Airbnb in the area and discovered Cafe 66 from a Yelp search. Portions are generous, especially for the rib platter. I've had the baby back ribs (half slab) twice, and each time had plenty of leftovers for lunch. Slaw is good also. My husband has had the burgers twice and thought they were great. We ordered the "garbage can fries" once and it was way too much food. Plus, those would definitely be better hot, not cool from waiting for pickup and then driving home. We've only done takeout, but all the staff are wearing masks and it looks like they're providing a safe environment for customers. read more

Stopped for lunch, was very pleased. Service was quick and pleasant. Nice low key atmosphere. We ordered the Pickle Fries, which were nice thinly sliced strips. They were hot and fresh. I ordered the Carolina Cowboy sandwich, brisket with coleslaw and barbecue sauce (vinegar based). It was excellent and quite a generous portion. My wife ordered the Cowboy which is just a brisket sandwich. Also excellent. We got fries and coleslaw as sides. They were both good. Excellent little place on route one in Vero! I had the brisket, slaw, beans, and Mac and cheese (go big or go home, right). I ordered and I think it came out about 6 minutes later. Super quick! The slaw was great. Not too sweet, not too savory... right where I like it. No super loose either. The beans were tasty. Mac and cheese was alright... tasted yummy but I wouldn't say it's competing with the best. The brisket was moist, cooked perfectly, but came out not very warm for some reason. But... it was still delicious. The BBQ sauce options were right up my alley. I'll stop by again for sure before I head back up north! read more
