Been coming here for years, always great food and great service, homemade chicken fingers and vegan friendly options as well

A nice chic cafe with some decent options. The staff were friendly and quick, stopped in to try their polenta wings (didn't know that was a real thing) They were surprisingly good. If you're into trying alternative wings they won't be the best ever but it's a good try.

I rarely give a 1 star rating. There's people livihoods at stake. But this place wasn't it. It mostly definitely pass the vibe check. It's a simple but weird spot in Allentown. Which I liked. Photos and things around the place will keep you interested and can be a convo started. The staff were sweet. Super friendly. None of that should change. But the food was pretty awful. Came with a group, one baby and five adults and four of us thought the food was okay to bad. The only one who liked their food was the one who ordered a 59 Club. We ordered the Bourbon bowl, Teriyaki Stir Fry, Cafe Rueben, and 59 Club. I had the Bourbon bowl with shrimp. The shrimp was good seasoning but overcooked. The rice and vegetables tasted like it came from the frozen section and was microwaved. It was super disappointing. And it was cold. I didn't send it back because I'm not sure if there was anything that could have fixed it. And the kitchen was understaffed so it would have taken even more time. The fried polenta that my friend ordered with their stir fry was the only thing they liked on the plate. Their plate was at least warm they said. The one who ordered the Reuben, felt that the sandwich was rushed as the sandwich was falling apart. And that they could use more dressing since it was a bit dry. And lastly the one with the 59 club had no complaints. The drinks we ordered weren't too bad. There was a lot of interesting options. We went with Jump City, Sho Hey!, The Blinkus. The Sho Hey! Was sweet but the favorite at the table. Super refreshing. I'd come back for the drinks. There's a few more I'd like to try. But I wouldn't come back to eat.

Took me too long to visit Cafe 59! We went on a Wednesday evening around 8 PM. Super quiet which was nice. We sat at a high top in the bar area. We started with the polenta wings in a honey sesame sauce. So so good. Hot and crunchy! They had a dinner specials menu available 5-10 so we both ordered off of that to take advantage. My boyfriend got the spicy duck stir fry and I got the 4 cheese grilled cheese with bacon and tomato soup. (There were 4 soup options to chose from!) everything was hot, tasty and well done. We also got cocktails from the bar that were delicious. Low key vibes. Definitely will be back.

The drinks and food are good. I got a Pinky Swear-bourbon topped with prosecco and muddled cherries. The Caesar salad was big and yummy. The atmosphere was decent, but i'll definitely return. We sat at the bar and service was good. The food took awhile to come out.

Stopped here on my lunch break. They offer a full menu with plenty of breakfast/lunch and dinner options available all day. I opted for the BLT, which was a double- decker!! The 2 guys working behind the bar super friendly and helpful. There was plenty of seating inside and out. It looks like they may be adding more seating outside (in the process of being built). The only thing they did not offer was a selection of coffee drinks, but they do have a full bar with a drink menu.

This was a return trip for me. A few years ago I had their mussels and thought they were among the best I ever tasted. This visit was during the Allentown Art Festival and the place was mobbed! And for good reason. It was hot. Everyone was thirsty, and they had a special menu just for the festival so they were able to get people waited on and taken care of quickly. Many people were there just for the drinks. Everyone seemed very happy. I certainly enjoyed my sandwich. Not wanting typical dogs and sausage, I came here because they had a teriyaki portabella mushroom sandwich with roasted red peppers and a delicious bean soup at a reasonable price. Maybe it was the festival. Everyone was enjoying themselves, including the staff. This was a pleasant visit. There are no steps or other obstacles blocking access. Easy to get to via Metro Bus #11, 25 and 20 as well as Metro Rail Allen-Medical Campus Station.

The food wasn't that great the drink was ok but the service is what is going to keep me from coming back here. The waitress that seated me was ok up until she tossed the crackers on the table after the first packet was open and BOTH WERE STALE. The other waitress that walked in front of me twice in a very rude manner was ridiculous. The soup was super spicy but not seasoned very well. I watched how the other patrons were treated, I was never checked on until I was ready to cash out and it just wasn't a pleasant experience whatsoever. Thanks but no thanks. Last two times I was here I was treated completely opposite but I guess if you sit at the bar that's what happens. Not sure. Never again.

The docent at the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site suggested this place for lunch. Since we were there on a Sunday, we were able to order off the brunch menu. Had pumpkin soup and hash browns, both were good. There were a lot of interesting options we wanted to try, but just needed a light bite before moving on to our next destination. Service was friendly and prices weren't bad.

Lovely lunch spot in allentown! I got a quick bite with my mom here on a Thursday afternoon and was able to sit outside. It is located on a nice, quiet street corner. One thing I noticed: they don't have any normal soft drink options, they use a local brand that I forgot the name of. My mom is big on pop and didn't really like their options. I liked my coffee. Service was really quick and easy. Everything came out in a good amount of time. For such a small location, There is an extensive food and alcoholic drink menu, so plenty of options including burgers, pasta and cool appetizers. Anybody can find something they'll like here. Our food was great! Such a good fried fish, I was seriously surprised. Not only did it look good, but it was really well done. And I loved that special sauce they gave us. The potato wedges were also really tastey and unique. Greaatt quick casual food in an cute location. Nothing fancy but Reasonably priced and good service. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Everytime we come here, the food is so good. Our waitress was fantastic, the music was bumping, and the food was delicious. Can't beat it!

Good chicken finger sub. About 8 inches so slightly bigger than your usually half sub and smaller than a full sub.

So glad that on the spur of my girlfriend invited me to go to hear some jazz piano on a Sunday night. Great way to end the weekend! Small group of silver-haired patrons. They look like relics themselves! The music was great. That atmosphere couldn't be beat. I'm coming back for more fun. Comedy, Celtic music, cartoons and bloody Mary's! I ordered the hummus and veggie plate. I needed a little something to go with my cocktail. I wouldn't come here for dinner, just for the vibe and the music. The bartenders are super friendly. 5 stars!

These are dark, dark times indeed...but somehow, Nietzsche's is a little beacon of light down at the end of Allen Street. From the exterior, it isn't hard to surmise that Nietzche's is a dive bar. Very much coated outside and in with writing on the walls, old photographs, weird relics that have been around for longer than I've been alive, you immediately forget what the sun looks like if you're going in in the daytime. But, that's okay. The people of Allentown will tell you that the dark is comforting...and you wouldn't want to see a place like this properly lit up ANYWAY... But don't get it twisted, what might come off as "rough around the edges" to some, this bar is absolutely one of the coziest, comforting dives and I'm always ecstatic whenever I get the chance to come here. They have a pretty decent variety as far as beverages go. Mostly tap beers, but they have a fridge with plenty of other canned stuff; my go-to is a cider, of course. A cheap PBR is my husband's drink of choice and has been for most of his adult life - and that's what we love about this place! The consistency!! Live music daily. Yes, daily. They literally have a calendar inside that will tell you every musician that has booked a spot that day. Sometimes it's just a solo guy playing in the front of the house, other times there's a full band in the back. Either way, you're going to get a totally unique music experience here, no matter what day you pick or what time you get there! I think they have snacks here?? I can't remember. After The Pink burned down we went to Nietzsche's the next day and they were serving up bagels and cream cheese. Totally unique experience. But I have eaten in this establishment before. However, this place isn't known for it's food, so I wouldn't rely on it. Instead, might I recommend the Jim's SteakOut down the street? Nietzsche's is owned by some pretty good people now, who are putting their heart and soul into keeping the business good and the music flowing for years to come. And I can't wait to go back. Rock on y'all.

The burger had a ton of flavor and was made very well. It only came with meat and cheese tho. I thought it may of came with lettuce and tomato like burgers usually do but that didn't bother me. I added some ketchup and it was perfect for me. So good that I actually ate the entire thing and I NEVER finish my food. I think the flavor was just that good and it was cooked perfectly. For me personally this place is a bit on the pricier side but thankfully my friend paid for me without me even knowing. I was very appreciative for that. But I do think I would go back as long as I had the money. Service was great. We sat at the bar and our food came out in under 10 minutes. The place has a lot of seating as well. It was 2 stuffed banana peppers, 2 meatballs with red sauce and garlic toast. All good and the peppers did have a little kick that I love. We split a sandwich. Ordered Antonio Bing. It was a chicken cutlet with stuffed hot pepper, melted mozzarella on a garlic roll in the shape of a hogie roll. It came with one side so we chose the macaroni salad, very good and added a Caesar salad. Now for the best part of any meal ...dessert! We chose the peanut butter cookie sundae. It was a real peanut butter buttery cookie on the bottom topped with vanilla ice cream surrounded by whipped cream & drizzled with chocolate sauce so yummy
