The restaurant appeared to be clean and for a week night there was a decent crowd. I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess and my server was also very friendly. I typically have to be in a mood for a seafood boil but I had eaten at the same restaurant 3 days straight and wanted something different. I played it safe and did the snow crab and shrimp boil in a garlic butter sauce that was very tasty. The corn and sausage were also good. I washed it down with a cold Stella. Overall I have no complaints and would eat here again.

It's consistently busy, with a lively atmosphere and live music that makes the evening even more enjoyable. The food is what keeps us coming back. The scallops are my personal favorite, and my husband loves the ribeye. His steak is wonderfully seasoned, with a delicious char on the outside and a perfect medium rare center--so tender it practically melts in your mouth. There's something especially satisfying about returning to a favorite restaurant and enjoying a meal just as much as you remembered. The crab bisque deserves a mention of its own. It's full of flavor and absolutely packed with crab. If you enjoy bisque, it's worth trying! The menu has an incredible variety, along with tempting specials, and even after all our visits, we still haven't managed to try all the different sides. We've also consistently had great service. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and we've never had an issue over the years we've been coming. It is a bit on the pricey side, but in our experience, it's well worth it. Delicious food, great staff, and an atmosphere we enjoy make Station Square Ristorante a stop we're always happy to make.

The menu is big, with all the Italian pasta, veal and chicken favorites you could want, but also with an extensive seafood menu, steaks, chops and salads. Station Square is apparently a Youngstown institution as it was celebrating 40 years! The restaurant is incongruously attached to a Super 8 motel, but don't let that throw you. This place is big, but it is well run. The staff is friendly. I sat down and my server appeared promptly and my food came out quickly, even on a busy Friday night. I had the salad of tomatoes and peppers, which is exactly what it was with a little oil and vinegar. Nothing fancy, but good. I had the chicken Parmesan with angel hair pasta. Very good. I finished with a blueberry cheesecake, which was excellent. I also enjoyed a professionally made old fashioned. It all worked for me!

Around 12:45 PM,…read morewhile I was sitting in the waiting area waiting for my food, I looked toward the cash register and saw a medium-sized baby roach crawling across the wall in broad daylight. When I first pointed it out to the staff, they initially tried to ignore what I was saying. After a moment, they turned around, looked, and finally acknowledged that the roach was there. Instead of treating it like an urgent issue, I was met with excuse after excuse. I was told they had just moved into the location, that they were only on the third phase of spray treatment, and that they were working on the problem. Regardless of the reason, customers should not be seeing roaches crawling around while waiting for their food. By that point, I was already uncomfortable because I had been watching what was happening behind the counter. I noticed some employees handling food without gloves, while another employee wearing gloves repeatedly scratched their nose with those same gloves and continued working without changing them. That is not the level of cleanliness or food handling customers expect when ordering a meal. Between seeing a roach in the dining area, the questionable food-handling practices, and the number of excuses that were offered instead of genuine concern, I completely lost my appetite. Although they refunded my money, that doesn't change the experience I had. Cleanliness and sanitation should never be optional in a restaurant. Based on what I personally witnessed today, management has serious cleanliness issues that need to be addressed immediately. I sincerely hope they take the necessary steps to improve their pest control, food safety practices, and overall sanitation before more customers have a similar experience.
