I met five people here for lunch and we were all impressed by the quality of the food. It's a bar/restaurant so we just expected typical bar food. However the menu was extensive, and there were daily specials as well. I opted for the Country Fried Steak, which came mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a side of corn. Very tasty meal. I was back in town visiting and gave this place a shot and I am so glad I did. Man the food was top notch and so was the service. Great little local place! If you are looking for 5 star dining this is not the place for you but 5 stars for comfort food! My husband and I have been here several times all with great experiences. Food is reasonably priced with generous portions, we always have leftovers for lunch. The red sauce is some of the best in the area! Service is always excellent even on busy nights. read more

I haven't been here in a long time so we decided on a lunch visit after doc appts for two of my kids. Some may say it's a bit divey but it's a favorite amongst some locals. We arrived just as they opened and were sat within a few minutes. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Drinks came out quickly as did our homemade hot chips appetizer. These were fresh, hot and mostly crispy. What I mean is that some obviously stuck together when fried which caused them to be a bit limp and not completely fried. Add salt because it didn't seem they do once pulled from the fryer. I decided on the fish sandwich with fries. I was pleasantly surprised as it was a large piece of Norwegian Cod that was lightly breaded and fried to a golden brown. It was perfectly fried and flaked nicely. The fries reminded me of fair fries which is always a plus. The bar area looked like it would be a good time to enjoy drinks one evening however we did not partake as it was 11AM. Not saying that's too early but it is with kids in tow. My wife and two sons all enjoyed what they ordered. All in all, a decent spot to get a quick lunch with friendly service. We picked up a Doordash order from them, so after dashing all evening my son & I ordered food from them. I ordered spicy Italian sausage with penne pasta, it was really good. My son ordered swiss steak with fries the steak was really bland had absolutely no flavor. The fries were cold, burnt and soggy with no flavor. Called management to let them know how horrible my son's food was, the manager made excuses no apologies whatsoever for poor quality food. Refused to replace or refund, so imagine how bad I felt my son ended up with no dinner after helping me with doordashing the entire evening. Will never order again based on management's refusal to take responsibility for horrible food. read more

Simply average. There was nothing special here. I had the meatloaf. It was a bit dry, but had good flavor. The gravy, like the salad dressing, appeared to be from a jar. The red sauce, both marinara and meat, kept this from slipping to 2-stars. It was pretty good, but not as good as Sunrise or even Caffe Capri. The bar experience looked like it could be good, especially with the outdoor seating in nicer weather. The railroad theme in the place is interesting. It looked like they kept some of the old grape-themed decor from the previous owner. I don't see ever returning, but wouldn't discourage others. I may have missed the one good thing on the menu. read more

Overall enjoyed my experience here. Our waitress was very nice. We ordered the stuffed Hungarian hot peppers, hot garlic wings, and a chicken and seafood dish on special. The side salads are iceberg lettuce but the dressing was good. The hot wings were a little vinegary, but pretty good flavor, and very spicy. The chicken and seafood special tasted good it just didn't look very pretty. The peppers tasted amazing but I think the spice got to us and bothered our stomachs. The booth we sat in was comfy. I come here every Thursday night around 9 pm. There's always a group of us that come for their food. Anywhere from 10-20 of us if not more. They are always attentive and the food is awesome. I mostly stick with the salads or pepperoni rolls because I prefer them but anything else I've had has been really good. I do recommend the salads or the Italian greens, they cannot be beat. It is worth a shot to try this restaurant out it is cheap and the food is delicious. read more

We came from out of town and stopped in. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The food in my opinion is geared more toward the older crowd. I ate a salad because nothing on the menu stood out to me. We went with a group of friends and I didn't hear any of them say wow that was amazing or good. Most of their plates where half eaten at best. I can say the fish was huge and looked good so didn't the pizza. No of us ordered those they were at the table across from us. Decided to go here on a last minute decision with my girlfriend for dinner. We live around the corner and had never been here before but trust me when I say we will not be going back. If the place having a very sketchy vibe wasn't off putting enough the food definitely sealed the deal. We are on the patio and the food was bland, tasteless, and clearly and evidently microwaved. The pasta had a standing puddle of water and sauce in the bottom of the bowl to the point where the noddles practically floated. The fries tasted like bland potatoes, no salt or anything. The potato skins were the same and came with sour cream that was in a squeeze tube, and the vinegar for the fries was in small packets as well (is this place on a budget?). Also the restaurant didn't have a draft system and the only option for the beer that I had ordered was a damn tall boy (24oz can) and I can honestly say that is a first. The food was so bad that when we arrived back home my girlfriend had to run to the first bathroom and throw up and she's still feeling very sick to her stomach. Something about this place should really change because it's in such a great location it could really be a great place to grab some food and drinks. read more

Trax has a good menu and the Trax salad is wonderful. The outside patio is awesome, it's the best patio in Austintown. What I don't like about the restaurant is the overall service. Some of the waitresses are either slow, don't annunciation, are not professional or lack basic social skills. My mother found a piece of plastic in her fish, sometimes the food preparation is poor. I've also had burned food from time to time. The waitresses really need to learn their trait better and learn how to properly serve a table. II don't expect service of a 5 star restaurant but most of the employees don't care about their job. I only get the Trax salad because they never screw that order up. Overall most of the food is good, the portions are gracious and the patio rocks . All they need to do is re-train or hire new waitresses/waiters. read more

I've been eating there for years. In fact it was the place to go to.Service was always good food tasted very well, salads are huge. Waitress brought out dressing for our salads before they came out so the dressing got hot and nasty in the heat and have been here since 6 two hours ago and still have not received food. The host are very helpful. But the wait in no excuse should be this long to just have dinner with my family. MAJOR carryout fail. I ordered by phone before they were even open, and the lot was near empty when I got there, so they were not busy. Ordered a simple chicken and greens dinner with pasta and a side of hot peppers. Got home to find two bare chicken breasts -- no greens, no cheese. Called to tell them about it. The woman on the phone tried to tell me I wasn't looking. I've been Italian (and able to see) all 36 years of my life. I know what greens look like. Cheese too. There were none there. Once I made that clear, she reluctantly asked if I wanted them to fix the order. I said yes, please remake it. I got there and they handed me a bag with another container. I got out to my car and realized they'd only given me ONE chicken breast. I gave up and just went home. When I opened my pasta, there was enough sauce on it for maybe 1/3 of the amount of ziti in the bowl, and it had all soaked in already. Food tasted fine, but wasn't nearly worth the trouble.
