Outback, please get it together! First of all, our waitress was AMAZING! I wish I would have grabbed her name, but she was such a delight, seriously! Decided to try the Boomarita which came with classic margarita, mango, watermelon, and blackberry. The blackberry & classic were hits, the mango & watermelon caused a bit of chest burning LOL My Caesar Side Salad was disappointing. Lettuce bits were brown, limp, & just not appealing to the eyes. I ate the good parts, but the rest of it got taken away. My Chimichurri Filet was good. Such a small amount of food but it was cooked how I liked for once & the flavors were nice. First time having chimichurri and I would definitely try it elsewhere! The onion petals weren't satisfactory, the breading came right off and they were greasy :( Steakhouse Mac & Cheese is my favorite dish here but it just didn't seem to hit the same like it did when I had it in the past. Something was missing but I'm not sure what. My date's meal was brought out & taken back. The Asparagus (which is an up charge for a side) was pale green & white. Definitely was not appetizing and I'm not sure why they even felt it was acceptable to send that out to a table if it's not a fresh, dark green color. They made it right afterwards & did not charge us. Some beautiful broccoli was brought out instead, figured we wouldn't try our luck with a second bad batch of asparagus LOL I want to love you, but I just can't at this time. read more

I love Outback! They have a great Dine Rewards program. Staying at a nearby hotel, I ordered the rib-eye, steakhouse Mac and cheese, and kookaburra wings. The steak was really good (the seasoning is my favorite!) also the steakhouse Mac and cheese (it is my favorite!), and the wings (also my favorite!)! I must also mention I got the butter cake and I never got a photo because it is that decadent. It was my first time trying it, and I just could not stop eating it. Food made me and my family feel sick immediately after eating it. This was my second time giving them a chance after they gave me a charred steak with a purple inside about 3 years ago and I'm even more disappointed now than I was then even when the manager got an attitude and said "you seriously won't eat this" after I sent it back once and my husband did as well after waiting for our food for 45 minutes. This time we ordered curbside. We got the wrong flavor wings and all the food was so cold dry and stale it shocked me. My trio sampler had almost nothing in it and my husband's steak was so dry and disgusting he gagged trying to eat it (he ordered it medium rare). I felt sick immediately after eating my food and feel nauseous still. We didn't even finish our food and we paid $65 for our whole order. I wish the restaurant actually cared about service, quality and just overall food safety like it used to. I live 5 minutes from the restaurant and picked up right when I got the notification it was done. There's no reason for this food to be so old and disgusting. I would and will never recommend this restaurant ever again. You used to be a favorite Outback. Now you're my favorite disappointment. read more

Wow -- we've eaten at Outback Steakhouse many times over the years, and we thought what we knew what to expect. So, when we decided to eat there yesterday, we were really blown away by the extra care and really great service we received from our server (Dua). They were very attentive and friendly, and just seemed to know what we needed. When the manager (Katlin) came over to check on us, we had to tell her how happy we were with the service and food and everything. Just returned home from here today. It was not a good experience. My wife's steak had a horrible aftertaste to it. My daughter got the lobster tails that you could bounce the meat off of the floor like a tennis ball. My other daughter's steak had a weird taste to it as well. My steak was supposed to be cooked medium rare, it was honestly cooked ultra rare (purple) at best. The bathrooms had a port-o-Jon smell going on in there. Some of my favorites are: - seared AHI tuna appetizer - the bloomin' onion (can be a little greasy) - the Aussie fries (usually too salty though) - grilled shrimp on the barbie - the bleu cheese pecan chopped salad - Toowumba pasta - The filet focaccia sandwich (awesome) - Victoria's Filet with blue cheese crust - tossed salad w/ bleu cheese dressing (their croutons ROCK) - baked sweet potato - Sauteed mushrooms are a MUST with any dinner. The food is a little pricey, but it's delish and usually worth it. Don't get me wrong...the food is great here. The service is also great here. The ONLY reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because the wait on a weekend night to be seated is ridiculous. The last time I went here was a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night, and we had to wait an hour-and-a-half to be seated. To me, that is unsatisfactory. read more

I travel a lot for work and this is the best Outback meal I've had in a very long time ! 11 oz sirloin and coconut shrimp, broccoli and mixed veggies. Steak was sooo tender! My only two criticisms is the steak had just a little a bit to much salt but still very good, and the coconut shrimp were a little small but that has been like that at all outback's I've been to for years. read more

The manager did send me 2 x 20 dollar outback cards for redemption to try this location again. I ended up going back Thursday of last week. We had the blooming onion again which was perfectly crisp and our waitress hooked it up with extra dressing as requested. For lunch I ordered the all you can eat soup (I got French onion) and salad (Caesar.) You get a choice of three soups and can interchange them but I will say this French onion hits the spot. The onions are hearty, the broth full of flavor, the bread slice perfectly placed, and the cheese baked to a crisp perfection on top. I was astonished with how truly filling and robust it was. The salad you can check your set between house or Caesar. I find that the salad at outback is always crisp and fresh (use to go back in VA often) and their dressing is one of few I can get a hint is the anchovies (I believe) and love. You can upgrade your soup or salad for a small charge I believe. My lunch mate got the 4 course meal for 15.99 with House salad ranch, French onion soup, Chicken on the Barbie with house made dipping sauce, and raspberry cheese cake (which we packaged the desert to go.) The waitress we were informed has been with outback for almost 20 years I believe. And trust me she was amazing. She was able to anticipate every need while being warm and courteous. I did decided to play it safe and not order seafood after the last experience but wanted to give it another shake. I was not feeling to well when I came in this time but the food and the service definitely made my day. Further the manager care and checked on use after food service and after bill pay which was very thoughtful and shows how much they care. I also want to give the waitress a huge shout out for taking such amazing care of us and making me truly want to come back. I am so impressed by how well this experience went that maybe our prior one was a fluke because I was defiantly won over this time around. I highly recommend lunch too because it's an overall calmer atmosphere than evenings and service is very attentive due to not being such a circus due to being so busy. read more

So honestly I think Outback may be slipping with food service. We come every week just hoping I will get the top notch service because I loved their steaks and swore by them. Thursday October 19, 2017 showed up around 5pm for the unlimited shrimp with the center cut sirloin. I ordered my usual Arnold Palmer which came in a tall dirty glass that looked like it was a green booger. Food arrived I noticed as soon as I smelled the aroma from my steak this was not right. My steak smelled very funny. Almost as if it was an old piece of steak. Old as in rotten. I tried a small piece and couldn't even eat it. The smell over took my taste buds and I spit the steak out. It was definitely rotten So, I did complain and asked the waitress Morgan to smell it & she said she would just reorder a steak for me I declined but my husband had his reordered. The manager Kimberly came by the table to see about our complaints. She was more than helpful and tried to fix the situation. I'm not one to complain at a restaurant but my husbands 2nd steak came out with that same rotten aroma. He tried a small piece & said it had an after taste and he thought it was definitely a rotten piece of steak. Perhaps we looked forward to our favorite resturant so much that it just wasn't good. Usually we spend 70 bucks easily I here. Even more when we bring the kids. Quality just wasn't there. Which was very disappointing. But to get 3 steaks out of the kitchen with same rotten smell...Yup that was the last straw. My husband who didn't complain about the second steak but asked for a box pollute to bring out home and throw it away. He could have just left it on the plate at the restaurant. There's a plus though...My shrimp was okay. My favorite restaurant worked its way down to a category of a McDonalds which I haven't eaten McDonalds in like 15 years. The last time I was there I order filet & shrimp on the barbie. I always order steak med rare or rare because I usually don't eat all my meal and having it rare helps when I heat it up. This filet was closer to med well and the shrimp was over cooked too. Yes I properly should had said something then but I and my friend both work as waitresses and since it was a high cost meal I assumed the lunch cook wasn't as good as the evening cook. (From past experiences). That's why I haven't been back to Outback in Niles,Oh. it will be awhile but since I still have a gift card I will go back but not at lunch. read more

Sure wasn't the Blooming onion of old days..I was very disappointed in my last visit..It has been awhile since i have been here and will say i over paid for a ribeye steak sandwich that amounted to not so much shredded meat and lots of bread ..The blooming onion looked about the size of a hardball instead of a softball..The sandwich was dry and took a long time to get served..The fries were ok but nothing great..My g/f got a margarita and it was in a small glass..Just the whole experience made it so i will not go back.. no thanks read more

We used to eat here regularly but the last few times the food was overly salty & not prepared as shown on their menu. The servers are friendly & attentive but that doesn't make up for the low quality food they serve. The only menu items that are still great are their steaks & prime rib. Have never been here before and will never go back. We were seated at the high tops in the bar area because they were first come, first serve according to the hostess and since there was a big wait we went ahead and sat there. When I sat down, the first thing I smelled was cigarettes. It was not the wood grill in the back- we were far enough away from the kitchens, plus as both an avid griller and from a family that smokes, I know the difference. Ohio's law about not being allowed to smoke in restaurants and bars has been in effect for years now, which to me means they never bothered to change the upholstery out or that people have been allowed to smoke in there at some point. Our waitress comes over to take our drink order and then asks about apps. She never brought us a menu- kind of serving 101 to bring them when you come to the table. But whatever, we order (and might I say the service never got any better since dishes were allowed to pile up and when we were eventually checked on they weren't taken away). Prices are high, but for a nice steakhouse it would be what I expect. HOWEVER, this was not worth it. I paid $20 for a 6oz filet mignon and while cooked to correct temp and tender was lacking in seasoning and a portion of my steak was so chewy I couldn't eat it. I also added on an order of grilled shrimp for an additional $5. What I got was FOUR pieces of shrimp, not jumbo shrimp, just regular ol' shrimp. Also, while they were grilled, they were also covered in cajun seasoning. The menu said GRILLED SHRIMP, nothing about cajun spices. I ate them because I don't mind such spices, but to someone who does not? In my opinion, while the food was decent it wasn't up to the standard of a top quality steakhouse in which I would pay such prices. Overall, the experience was rather blah and I wouldn't ever go back. There are much better area Steakhouses (Texas Roadhouse is now right in the same complex of the mall) or Italian restaurants. read more

My family and I had a great dinner Friday night. The food was exceptional and perfectly cooked. Tyler suggested Blooming onion. Delicious. Tonight was over the top. Our server Tyler was on point, attentive and always there when needed. The manager stopped by as well to check on us. Her smile was so big that mask couldn't hide it. Me and my husband are regulars at this particular outback and we keep going back. Food is always fresh and tastes great! the service is wonderful. We have been eating here for years and if there was ever an issue (which is not often) they have always done what ever to make it right.
