Truly the vibe walking in wasn't bad the hostess was sweet and kind but the guy walking us to the table forgot silverware and couldn't keep a basic conversation, I order the house salad and the lettuce was beyond freezing like, the salad was enjoyable but way too cold. Party of 2 on a Thursday afternoon. The service was nothing short of excellent. Our server Jelinda was awesome she had a neat trick of reading back the order to confirm everything. I wish more servers would use this method. She even went through to explain the difference between med and all the other temperatures of the steaks. I mean totally totally excellent service. We both ordered the 12 ounce New York strip. I got mine medium my wife got hers medium well although the medium well was a little less than medium well it was still very good. We started off with dinner salads. The salads were excellent. Vegetables were fresh ample amount of dressing was provided. The bread was hot and sweet butter was the topping on the cake. They offer a 10% military discount so we got that take it off our bill we were able to pay the bill right at the table with a little kiosk machine. Price wise it was very economical. I've seen where you pay the upwards of $30 for a good New York strip. The only complaint I would have is the wait we came an hour after opening at 4 PM and still had a 20 minute wait but there's nothing they can do about that when you have a good place everyone wants to get in. The waiter was really nice, and even recommended a nice drink for myself and my partner. It started off great however we waited for over a hour for our food. Apparently it hadn't even been started. Sophia ,our waitress,kept coming in and checking on us she was so nice! the food was so slow coming out. It was a little ridiculous to watch others who came in after us get their food and even the waiter says we should've had our food after a half an hour. This place used to be an old time favorite of mine. In a different state though. I gave this experience 4 stars mainly because the carrots were disappointing. They tasted like they were store bought and they were cold. Everything else was very good!!! But, what never fails at least in my experience dining at Texas Roadhouse, is the great customer service. Everyone speaks as you enter and as you leave. Our server Ashley kept the trend going with great customer service, very timely check ups, and I never had to ask for water. She made sure our drinks were always full. Ashley definitely gets a 5star! And even with the carrot issue, I would still recommend this restaurant to any and everyone. Since this place is brand new to this area, you're gonna wait. No matter what time you go, you're gonna wait. I went there on Friday. They open at 4pm. I arrived at 3:45p. At approximately 3:50p, a line started to form at the door and reaching out into the parking lot. I got in line after a few minutes because I didn't want to be waiting forever for a table. And this was on a day where there was a high of 28 degrees. Anyways...that was the worst part. After being issued a pager, I only had to wait about 15 for a table. Peanuts were available to snack on. Shells go on the floor. This is mostly a steakhouse, but they have a nice selection of ribs, chicken, and some seafood dishes also. I had the Rattlesnake Bites appetizer, which is Monterey Jack cheese and jalapenos rolled into a ball and fried. It comes with a side of horseradish sauce (actually its like a remoulade), but I asked for ranch instead. They were really good. A little spicy from the jalapenos, but not too spicy. Warm buttered dinner rolls came with the meal and they were yummy. For dinner, I had the filet medallions because it was a little bigger than the whole filet and cost a dollar less. The filet (which I requested "medium") was slightly overcooked, but nothing worth complaining over. The medallions came on a bed of seasoned rice and choice of peppercorn sauce or portobello sauce. I went with the latter, which was really hearty. Dinners come with 2 sides...I got buttered corn (fresh and sweet), and green beans (braised with onions and bacon). They were both really tasty! Too full to have dessert, so I really didn't even look at the dessert menu. Our waitress (I think her name was Shawna) was really nice, friendly, and attentive. She did a great job. The wait staff also does a line dance to a hee-haw version of Footloose (or sometimes Cotton Eyed Joe), like Lonestar used to do back in the day. I don't see that lasting long. Long wait, good food, good service. My estimation for Niles chain steakhouses is this: 1. Outback 2. TX Roadhouse 3. Lonestar I'll definitely be back after the crowds have died down. Where do I begin? Since 3/12/2020 I have visited the restaurant 6 time totalling well of $800, each visit was horrible with either completely missing items or steaks cooked incorrectly. The 1st visit I purchased was raw meat, potatoes and seasoning. My potatoes and seasons were missing. I called and they assured me they wou l d have them next time I came. When I asked for my missing items I was treated as if I was trying to get over and steal so I was asked to provide my transactio amount and date. The manager made me feel like I was trying to get over for $20. Every time I have been since something was wrong. I finally reached out to the owner and he assured. E that the next time i order he would accommodate me. We set a date to call and order and wouldn't ya know he wasn't in, needless to say, I ordered full price again and things were wrong. I valled bom again and we set a date for mother's day and my typical order consists of 3 bone in ribeye, aa few combos, (feeding 6 ppl). My average bill is 100 and the first order was 300. When I called on Mother's day, of course couldn't come to the phone and I was comped $15 off my bill. Mind you the last 3 steaks (2 ribeyes, 1 sirloin) and each was way over cooked. They alone should have been replaced but after continuing to work with the store. During the pandemic this was the only local restaurant I supported and I feel like they didn't care about me or the risk I took to support them. They served me poor Quality food and didn't care to make things right. I am going to corporate and filing a complaint with the BBB and everywhere else I can. I was looking forward to a great dinner date with my husband. We had not been to Texas Roadhouse in a long time because we had bad food here last year but decided to give it a second chance. BIG MISTAKE we were greeted by an annoyed hostess that told us it was a 20 minute wait and that we would have to go OUTSIDE to wait. Are you kidding!! Your food is no where near good enough for me to stand in the cold and wind. You want us all to feel bad for this service industry. Try treating customers better. Especially with the rise in price. We will never go back. Also try trajning your hostesses. Not great policy to yell at customers all the way out when they tell you your policies need revised. Food is amazing the rolls are really good with the cinnamon butter. They cook the steaks just as you ask. If you celebrate your birthday they give you an amazing dessert with a birthday announcement. We've ordered takeout about 6-8 times. So far, so good. The steak cookery has been ok, not great as far as doneness goes, but nothing too far over cooked. We always order rare, so it should be MR by the time we get home, and have had med well show up. No biggie. Oh, and they have chicken fried steak. Thank you. Stopped here for lunch while passing thru the area. There are a lot of restaurants in this area; I picked this one because I've had good experiences at other Texas-style restaurant (recently at different brands in Boardman, OH and somewhere in WV). That and I really wanted meat. To say it was a ghost town would be insulting to ghost towns. There was tumbleweed blowing past the bar (OK I exaggerate). But seriously, I was the only person eating lunch at the bar and I think there was one table in the restaurant. The bartender said it isn't usually this dead at lunch, and it was probably due to Labor Day. The pros: Clean place, friendly bartender (Margot), steak salad was out very quickly. Salad was OK; I've had better and I've had many worse. The cons: it's dead! I like to be around people. The music is very low - barely audible. The TV at the bar was muted. Since it was showing MLB channel that's probably not such a bad thing; where's SportsCenter? No WiFi!! It would prolly be more lively over at B-Dubs. Worth every bite. I've been to a few different Texas roadhouses and have yet to have a horribly disappointing experience. This one was no different. For a chain restaurant, they perform quite well. Usually I get a steak but today I had a taste for a burger so I just got a bacon cheeseburger with the sweet and tangy sauce. Perfect size and taste and the sauce complemented it perfectly.
