Nice ambiance, good service and tasty food, right in the heart of a shopping Mecca. This restaurant's location is very convenient. Immediately after arriving I was greeted and seated at a table. Katie was my server and took my drink order and returned with it right away. I placed my dinner order and very soon afterward, Katie brought my side salad and a loaf of warm bread with a nice serving of butter. I enjoyed both, but the salad was particularly good; it was comprised of a nice spring mix with chunks of fresh tomato, shredded cheese and small croutons. Very tasty. After finishing my salad, the steak and baked potato arrived. Perfect timing. The steak was cooked exactly to my order, and was topped with delicious mushrooms. The baked potato was cooked perfectly. Solo date night last Friday, which I made enjoyable for myself, but it could have been better! This was my first time at a LongHorn & now I possibly see why the reviews are as they are. Since I was by myself, I opted to sit at the bar and being that it was a Friday, I understand it was busy in the kitchen, but there was only about 5 people seated out of many empty bar seats and I believe I was sitting there for around 10 minutes before I was greeted with a menu. I got to sit with the previous patron's bill still in front of me along with their watered down sweaty drink waiting to be taken away. Bartender was quite obviously overwhelmed BUT she was still pleasant and we chatted throughout the night. I started off with a Captain & Coke which was perfectly balanced & needed after the anticipation. Ordered the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms for my appetizer & this was the best food I had ate that night! Dish was hot as ever & the flavors were amazing, I should've ordered 3 instead of an entree! My side salad was also a hit. Fresh greens, nothing bitter, lots of ranch, & enjoyable! Table Bread was meh, didn't seem to be warm so I had a fun time trying to spread butter on it. Taste was fine though & seemed fresh. I got Flo's Filet which seemed more like Slo's Sirloin. It was not baseball cut like the menu photo had shown (looked like sirloin about 1 inch thick) & didn't have much char whatsoever. I didn't take a before-cut photo since I was hungry, but 2 fat pieces had to be removed as well, which I am not used to anytime I've ordered filet. Usually I can eat the entire thing without scraps. I will say whatever seasoning blend they use is good and it was more bitey than I thought it was going to be, which hit for me. Got the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese with high hopes since I'm a big fan of Outback's & was let down here too. Mac was dry as ever on top which I imagine was a result of the torched-to-death panko. If it was a crispy baked cheese top it would've been a different situation. Thankfully once I got past that it was very creamy underneath, but too much bacon in my opinion and almost had an artificial taste. Putting the panko and bacon bits to the side, I was able to finish it. Not yet filled to the brim, I decided to order the Molten Lava Cake for dessert which I thought was going to be one of those minuscule ones and not something I could've shared with 2 other people! The cake was steaming, vanilla bean ice cream is always better than plain vanilla so that was a plus, and it was extremely rich. I shouldn't have ate it all, but I did. I've been at the Niles longhorn a few times. All times were pleasant with good food. I went there 3/21 aprox. 8pm. Service was good I ordered a 12oz ribeye. We have been going to Longhorn Steakhouse for about a month now and it has quickly become a favorite dinner spot for our family. We have been making a collective effort to eat healthier (2 of us have diabetes) and the menu at Longhorn makes it easy to eat out and not stress to find foods that fit our diet. (And we do not have to just have a salad!) Our absolute favorite thing that we get are the Brussel Sprouts! They are a bit sweet because they are roasted in a honey butter but oh my goodness are they so good! I personally crave them very often! They make a great side dish. I have had them with steak, with shrimp and with the pork chops! Always a stellar choice! That being said on this most recent visit I chose the pork chops and they were heavenly! Cooked to perfection they had very little if any fat on them. They come with two sides so I had (Of course) the brussel sprouts and I also had mushrooms. It was such a great meal! My daughter and sister had the Salmon and they were both extremely happy with their choice of protein. My daughter paired hers with a salad and asparagus. She said she really did not care for the flavor of the asparagus finding it quite bland. My sister paired hers with the brussel spouts and macg and cheese. She enjoyed both her sides. My other sister chose the cheeseburger and fries and loved that it was cooked to perfection. read more

Had a gift certificate from Christmas gift so I went. I must admit this place has never been high on my list. My order was french onion soup, salmon sweet potato , caesar salad and rice pilaf. Rice and salmon were extremely oily, as if oil was poured on it before they brought it out. The soup was , very sweet yet salty. The broth was almost a light texture gravy, and way to much of a concentrated beef bouillon. The sweet potatoe was mushy, n had some butter on it with what I swear was 2 Tbs. of cinnamon and sugar mixture piled on top. Caesar salad was romaine cut in 3 big pieces each leaf. Ridiculous. Total disaster the whole meal. The water was the only good thing. I won't be going back. Waitress was nice and did take the soup off my bill. read more

Had a very nice experience at Longhorn Restaurant in Niles Ohio. The food was good. My steak was done perfectly. It was savory and tender. The side and salad were very good as well. My family and I went to your Niles, Ohio location today for lunch. We were told a high chair for a toddler could not be placed at the end of a booth. Why is this an issue? To provide more context the booth was requested because we also have a 3 year old that can not sit in a chair alone, yet is to big for a high chair. Along with that we have been accommodated with this request the previous two times we've ask. The restaurant was not busy at most 6 tables were occupied. Needless to say we ended up leaving. If the restaurant can't accommodate this then they will not receive my business. read more

I never leave a review on corporately own restaurant pages because they're the most predictable and most regimented out of all the restaurants out there. This time is different. My cousin and I stopped at the niles location Saturday August 9th. We were promptly greeted by a really sweet server named Katie who was professional, kind, quick on her feet, and super attentive! Our experience here was the best we had with Katie B taking care of us at any type of restaurant whether it is a chain or it is privately owned. Our experience was so good that after we made our rounds at the Italian festival in Warren a few hours later, I actually called the niles location and asked to speak to a manager to let the manager know how amazed we were and how fantastic of a job Katie did taking care of us. The manager on duty I spoke to was Brian and I could tell he was smiling on the other end of the line (probably because nobody really calls to ask for a manager to give props to their employees). I was truly blown away, oh and yes of course. The food came out in a very timely fashion, everything was cooked to perfection, and we left absolutely STUFFED! the food and service have always been excellent for time since they opened. the only criticism/ complaint is that it is always cold in the restaurant. I have always to wear a sweater even when it is 80 degrees outside. I have mentioned this to management many times and they acknowledge me but nothing changes. read more

Party of 2 on a Sunday afternoon. The food was amazing. We started with the onion appetizer it was crunchy and delicious the sauce had just the right amount of heat. Next came the salad very fresh and crunchy good amount of mixed vegetables. I ordered the T-bone it was delicious cooked perfectly to order. Wife ordered the Flo and lobster tail it was superb. I have to mention the sides we had asparagus and the sweet crispy Brussel sprouts man outta this world. We got seated in the bar the service was great. Two bad experiences. First visit we left agreeing that, although it was brand new building, the experience was nothing special. Second try we agreed it will be a while before returning. Had to ask for bread. Took 39 minutes to get lemon for the water. Salads were served AFTER our meals. Just a poor experience. Post-Covid syndrome. I just want to give a big applause to the manager at Longhorn steakhouse in Niles,Oh. On Saturday Aug24 I ordered three takeout orders of the parmesan-crusted spinach artichoke dip for a gathering I was having .I spoke to the manager Brian and requested that it be exactly or as close to the way it is served in restaurant. As we know many times no matter where you get it from, take-out is never as good as in house.Brian went out of his way to give me what I asked for. It was a big hit for my guests and I sincerely hope you get repeat customers from this. In todays world where customer service seems to be rare, it was so refreshing to find a manager who cares. My complaint is based on the host and morale of the serving staff that mead utterly rude when I got in. I do not know the staff workers personally but one staff member in particular blatantly walked away from me before I could order. I got no greeting and she pulled the staff aside and told them something and they looked and stared at me then scattered away from me. I had to find a manager to tell them about my issue. The manager, Michelle, deemed the staff workers name wasn't what I knew or heard of, however, she took my order. The beginning staff that saw me still made me feel highly uncomfortable. I would say discrimination because I've been here twice and I don't think I'm going to recommend anyone else here. I'd asked for an apology but the younger staff that ignored all had attitudes. Had lunch here today. The restaurant was new with very attractive decor. Our server was friendly & helpful since it was our first visit. My hubby & I ordered the 8 piece red rock grilled shrimp lunch. We both agreed the shrimp & rice were delicious. My hubby ordered a side salad which he really enjoyed. I got a baked potato, which was good except for the outside coating of salt. I hadn't realized it came coated with salt or I'd have asked for a no salt potato. Our granddaughter ordered the grilled chicken tenders & fries with no salt from the kids menu. She loved her meal too. Overall great experience. We will be back! read more

I typically start a review with 5 stars and take one away for each disappointment, if any. First star deduction - NOT an appropriate gathering place for a party of more than 4. The seating was crammed and you couldn't leave the table without bumping into wait staff or other guests. Second star deduction - Server took way too long to take dinner orders. Once we received our drinks and communicated that we only wanted one appetizer for our table, it took over an hour for our server to return to even take our dinner order... on a weekday. Third star deduction - The food was entirely too salty. Like, ALL of it. Fourth star deduction - host staff was rude and ignored my request for an additional chair for my child's booster seat. If this review would let me deduct the fifth star, I would as it then took so long to get our food that we had to request to-go boxes and take our food home to eat in order to avoid our baby from having a total melt down. I seriously doubt that we will be coming back to this establishment. read more
