The service was great but the food was very disappointing. Unfortunately, during this visit, the food was served either overcooked or cold. Fortunately, the waitress was fabulous about trying to "make it right" which was much appreciated. Hopefully, this was just "one of those days". Typically, I enjoyed Outback's food. read more

Great service! Food was great! It was a very clean restaurant! Had a great birthday meal and experience there! read more

The service was great, the waitress was nice and answered all of our questions nicely and patient. The ambiance was great too, the floor was clean, the tables were clean, even the bathroom too. The food though, it wasn't great. I'm not trying to say our whole meal was terrible, but it was mainly just the entre that I personally didn't like. Not to mention the food is expensive as hell. So there's 2 pros and 2 cons. read more

My wife and I went to Outback for dinner. We like the atmosphere there. There was a 20 minute wait to get seated in the restaurant , so we opted to eat at the bar. Bartender was Brittany, and she took our drink orders quickly. I had a rum and Coke. Brittany told my wife about the Croc-tail that came with a small plastic crocodile. She loved the idea and ordered it. The drink was really good. Brittany shared that there are other similar drinks offered by Outback.. one comes with a Koala! Now we will come back and try that, and the Shark drink that is available during shark week! The food was good, too. I had a steak dinner, and my wife got a shrimp dinner. Brittany did a great job. read more

Remembered why we stopped coming here. The service was top notch and very friendly. Seating was comfortable but the place was just dirty. Not that you could really see but the floor is slick.....with grease? Not sure but the table was sticky as were the seats. The steaks are a subpar quality and they really over do it with the 17 blend seasoning. Doesn't disguise the low quality. I had the ribeye, about a quarter inch thick, with coconut shrimp. They were very good as was the dipping sauce. Wife had the sirloin with shrimp. Both the steaks came home for the teenage boy. read more

Service was great. Came in towards closing time and ordered takeout at the bar. Received a smile and great food

This location had great service, they had told us they were out of cookies and bread after we placed our orders but they made it up by giving us more free deserts and giving us a gift card for also messing up our order and management was so helpful and they apologized a ton. Everything in the end was amazing!! read more

My family had a horrible experience at this location on 3/15. We came in as a table of 7-four adults and three children. The wait was shorter than expected and that was great. Our drinks came out fine and were very good so we started off well. Our server was nice and fairly attentive. We spent a total of 2.5 hours here...they were busy not there were many open tables and definitely not packed. Our app and salads came out little slow but nothing to seriously complain about...but we waited an HOUR AND FIFTEEN minutes for our entrees- four entrees, 2 kids Mac and cheese, and a kids burger. First, on top of the incredibly long wait we were missing a kids meal, one adult entree was ice cold and the 8oz steak was at the most 3oz..my 6oz was double the size. The kids burger completely charred and my daughter wouldn't eat it so ended up picking at my plate instead. So we waited for the missing meal and the remake. At one point someone who I assume is a manager brought an item to our table, there is no way they weren't aware of the issues our server and table was having receiving our order and nothing was said, nothing was offered, no-one apologized(besides our server). I worked in restaurants for 12 years and I am incredibly patient with inconveniences in restaurants because a lot of times its out of the servers hands and this is not different but the fact that our table spent $300+ for this many issues and a round of drinks wasn't taken off, dessert offered or any small offer of appology for the horrible experience is so wild to me... Pros- our server was friendly and she was doing the best she could, drinks were tasty, food that did come out correctly was good, and our wait was shorter than anticipated. read more

Literally the only two people in here and we've been waiting on drinks for over 45 min. Rude waitress, unprofessional using slang that makes no sense. Won't ever be back here. read more

Food was horrible. My granddaughter had,it was a boneless chicken breast with muchrooms and cheese on top ...she cut into twice. And the middle was raw. Even the server knew it was raw .. manager said more eyes are better than one. He knew it was raw. Picked her plate up and walked away. I had filet & Lobster. The filet suppose to be cooked med..it was totally burnt on the outside I took one bite and chewed forever. The best food we got was the bread plus only 5-6 cars in parking lot.. so of course we went home hungry.. never ever again will go there. Raw chicken come on now the server then brought refund for chicken. And we was just ready to slide the card. It was horrible read more

We picked up takeout. The server was to our car before I even hit the app to let them know I had arrived!

Food was mediocre at best, we got no refills on drinks. Our waitress was new which I can understand having problems however, she was pretty much a basket case talking about everybody in the restaurant complaining about tables not leaving her a tip. It's a very big turn off as a customer. However, the worst part of the night was when their computers went down which I understand can happen, but they wanted us to write our credit card numbers down so they can run it through at a later when the computers came up. When I said I don't think so! The manager proceeded to make us sit and wait for over an hour. We live a state away and had spent the day visiting a sick loved one in the hospital. We were tired and ready to go home. A good manager would've said sorry for the inconvenience. Have a good night and let everybody leave. I'm sure Outback can afford a few meals after all there were only four tables. read more

This is a delayed post but wanted to share. My son and I had dinner at Outback on Saturday evening. The hostess was friendly and kind. She walked us to our booth and let us know who our server would be. She was differently-abled. While eating, a man from the booth behind is asked the server to speak with the manager. When she approached, the man stated that the hostess should not be in that particular position as the public should not exposed to that before they eat. The manager responded "we do not base our hiring choices on a person's appearance". (Good answer cuz I was about to hurdle the booth.) The customer continued on, sharing that he understands because he worked with people with special needs before "but you don't put them in the front of the house." Yes, that's a quote that I will not forget. The manager, Tracy, informed the ignorant man that is called discrimination and Outback does not practice that. I spoke with the manager after that encounter and praised her for being professional and mostly for standing up for her employee. She was still so upset, she was shaking. Although I'm not getting a kickback for this, I encourage local peeps to patronize Outback in Boardman. Ask for a manager. Tell them why you're supporting their restaurant. Unfortunately the food took a long time to arrive. But kudos to the manager! read more

Awful is all I can say! My Steakhouse salad was loaded with long raw carrot strips that were uncomfortable to eat. I didn't get the nice thin meat shown in the picture but lumps of chewy steak. I found 2 pieces of another green in my mixed green salad. It was all big chunks of iceberg lettuce. The pecans were nearly non existent and the topping of cheese was a bare dusting. Never again! The servers tried but ours was also bartending across the room..ugh! My daughters and grand daughter got the Queensland and the Kingsland pasta with shrimp. The pasta was hard with just enough sauce to barely cover the hard noodles. It was also tasteless I was told. The shrimp would not slide out of their tails so that wasn't cooked all the way! Some birthday dinner for our daughter!! We didn't send anything back cause ..we'll..you know why!! read more

Food was awful. Bland pastey potato soup. Lettuce in Caesar salad was brown. Steaks were dry and had so much black pepper on them that they were practically inedible. We won't be back. read more

Service was good We waited almost an hour for our food. The food was just OK. The ambience was amazing.

Visited here simply to get rid of a $50 gift card I had burning a hole in my wallet for almost a year. The wife and I were out shopping so we figured we'd grab a bite. Although not busy, we waited approx. 15-mins to be seated as the hostess was in the back dealing with an issue in selling a gift card to another customer. Not sure why someone else could not have sat us but oh well. Once seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who did a fine job throughout our visit. As always, the blooming onion was our app and it was just fine other than seeming to be luke warm. I decided on the Ribeye with baked potato. Although cooked to by preferred medium, the steak was over powered by salt. I mean -it was as if they were using the salt shaker and the lid fell off and then they tried to scrape the salt off without me knowing- salty. My wife's steak was the same. While I still managed to finish my steak, my wife could not. We made the waiter aware and he was more than understanding and offered to replace our meals with something else. We both declined and within minutes the manager was at our table and provided us a $10 gift card as well as a gift certificate for a free blooming onion on our next visit. The plus was that the beer was cold and the saltiness of the steak was more than enough encouragement for me to have a second cold one. All in all, two stars for the food and a third for the waiter's attentiveness and willingness to rectify the problem. I gave the freebies provided to us to my oldest son to use in the future. Went to Outback today after staying away for 7-8yrs after a bad experience. The staff were extremely attentive and our server Cody was fantastic! He was on top of everything and made sure we had everything we needed even when packing up our leftovers to leave. My only complaint would be the prime rib sandwich, it was not very good and seemed the prime rib was really dry and grey colored. The sandwich was pretty bland and just won't order again. The rest of the food was perfectly done and tasty! Thanks again Cody for a great experience!! read more

I remember cafeteria food from the 80s and that's what I got here. I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich. The prime rib was cooked until it turned gray. The sauce tasted like gravy browner because that's what it is. Call me spoiled, but I like a jus to taste like it was made today and didn't involve any packets. Prime rib should never be gray. read more

This rating is based off of its price point and status as a chain. Set at the bar got the normal what they used to call outback special - sirloin loaded baked potato asked for extra items just because you know why have a little bacon when you can have a lot of bacon, and the traditional side salad with extra blue cheese. Put in an order for mushrooms late. Everything came out on time and well seasoned. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Beef prices are now through the roof and I see so many other restaurants in this state offer how superior the beef is because it's Certified Angus Beef (CAB). That is a con, it's just the type of cow it comes from. My opinion, what makes the difference is grade - choice or prime, do you like it aged and if so wet or dry and how many days, finally where did the beef come from and what was it fed. If you buy a lower cost steak - flank etc...how was it marinated and treated in the kitchen. Don't overpay for your steak. Know the fine points and cuts of meat - bone in is another way to jack up the weight. Some find it tastes better - to me my dinner just became an class in knife skills so I don't leave meat on the plate. If not you may find yourself at the mercy of a 26 year old server who's last job was selling glue at hobby lobby. read more

The service was slow despite being towards the end of the evening. The food was good quality, but when ordering our desserts, they stated the cook burned all of the cookies. It's just another experience where this restaurant should have new ownership or take away this franchise location. read more

Worst salad ever. Thankfully it came with bread. How hard is it? Lol? My one and only visit here. Bartender delivered the salad even though she later admitted it wasnt "chopped" as it is described on the menu. Then why bring it out of the kitchen wrong? Because you have no pride in your job. She took it back for the kitchen to correct and it came back out with mostly white sections of lettuce. The only green was the onions. Apparently no one is checking the quality of before food before it leaves the kitchen. read more

I absolutely love the Outback Steakhouse in Boardman. My boyfriend and I come here pretty often. It's definitely one of our favorite dinner spots! First off, I just want to say that Sommer, the manager, is so wonderful! She makes every customer feel welcome and takes the time to talk to everyone and make sure that they have a great experience at Outback. I used to come to this Outback before she was the manager, and it was really not a great experience back then. I stopped coming here and only going to the Niles location, until one day I gave Boardman another try and saw how much better it was since she took over as the manager. Sommer gets to know the regulars and she always greets us by name. She does everything that she can to make sure that every experience is excellent! In addition to the outstanding management, I have also noticed that the servers are very friendly and work hard to do a great job! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect. The dining area is always clean, and I absolutely love the dim lighting and Australian Outback and industrial themed decor. It is a cozy, relaxed dining experience. Although there is typically a wait during peak times, like weekends and dinner times, you can use the Outback app to make a reservation that tends to cut your wait time in half. In addition, there is a comfortable seating area with water available, and samples are typically provided while you wait. I only see two areas for improvement here. First, I have noticed that from visit to visit, items that we order are not always consistent with the last time we ordered them. Examples may be that the items have varying levels of seasoning or spiciness, may be toasted to a different degree, may contain more or less of some ingredients, etc. The second issue is the fact that the floors are constantly slippery. Even when you're wearing tennis shoes with high traction, you have to be very careful so that you don't fall. I have actually fallen once here about two years ago because it was so slippery. If these two issues were fixed, I would for sure give this place 5 stars! Overall, I definitely recommend the Boardman Outback Steakhouse. You can be assured that you will get great food and great service here! read more

Let me start off by saying that this -3 star review has nothing to do with the quality of the food whatsoever. But it does have a everything to do with the poor quality of service that we received on Valentine's Day 2022. When we arrived at 5:15 we were informed that there would be a 45-60 min wait. Which is totally understandable on Valentine's Day. We were able to run a couple of errands while we waited. We returned in 38 minutes and by 5:58 were seated at our table. Our server greeted us pretty quickly took our drink and appetizer order. Came back promptly with drinks and took our orders. My wife ordered the filet medium/well. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye with a side of skewered shrimp. All was great. Our appetizer came out in a normal amount time. It was a typical Outback bloomin' onion. About 7-8 min later we got a refill and our salads. We received one more refill. And then waited for over 25 min for our entrees. Our server even ignored us as she passed by our empty table multiple times. At 7:07 I flagged down another server and asked for our server so I could pay for our bloomin' onion and leave. We had another reservation at 7:30. She finally came and said she would let her manager know that we wanted our check. At 7:13 someone else came from the kitchen with our entrees and was a major jerk when I told him that we didn't have time to eat them and had already informed the server that all we wanted was to pay for our appetizer, because we had a 7:30 reservation. He seriously got mad at us because his kitchen messed up and didn't get our order order out in a timely manner. No manager ever came, no apologies, just a free bloomin' onion (that I offered to pay for) and one ruined Valentine's Day "dinner". Thanks Outback of Boardman for providing us with the absolute worst dining experiences we've had in 23 Valentine's Day dates. We will go to the Niles location from now on. While I know the management of this location probably won't care if we ever come back there or not, those of you reading this review- take my recommendation...go to Texas Roadhouse...it's a short drive right across the street. read more

The world is in a difficult and confusing state right now. With that being said, our state of Ohio has had an effective shutdown of any sort of dine-in operations over a month ago. That, one would think, should be plenty of time for a corporate-branded place like Outback Steakhouse to really get a good take-out (take-away to be exact) strategy in place and really provide a good experience. Somehow, though, this is still not the case. We ordered online for take-away. We ordered an Aussie cheese fries appetizer and two dinners. We planned on eating the cheese fries on the way home and, if necessary, we would reheat the entrees once we got home as we live about a half hour away. Our order was supposed to be 'ready' at 6:05pm approximately. We pulled in around that time and all the designated take-away spots were full with an unofficial queue/waiting area nearby. The parking lot situation was a free-for-all. There was no first-in, first-out regarding who was there first and who got the next open spot. Twice my wife (we were 'next' if that's a thing) tried to get a recently-vacated spot near the building and were cut off by someone recklessly trying to get there first. I don't fault Outback for people's lack of courtesy in the parking lot, but I do, however, hold them responsible for the way they dealt with cars waiting to pick up their orders. It wasn't until we finally got a spot up near the building that someone came out to verify that we were there and I guess start getting our order ready? I say I guess because after the food finally came out, some 45 minutes late, it was cold. As I said, I expect for the entrees to need reheated by the time we get home after a 30 minute ride. But, I do NOT expect the cheese fries to be a solid block. At this point I was at a 2-star review, I thought, at least I KNOW my chicken and ribs and sweet potato would be good reheated and looked forward to that. However, I got home and found that the sweet potato, which I had specifically ordered with cinnamon and butter, but NO brown sugar... had brown sugar melted into the butter. This was the worst experience I've had at this or any Outback Steakhouse location. I will not be visiting again any time soon. read more
