I have been there a lot and always loved it. But this time was different. I don't know if chef or manager changed, but food was not up to previous level. And when I complained about my dish they didn't offer to give me something different. They just said that they didn't see anything wrong. A restaurant on that level doesn't handle things that way. "It's not us, it must be you!" Prior to I have sung their praises, but after this experience I have nothing but contempt. If I'm willing to pay 2-3 hundred dollars for dinner I expect to treated as a valued customer. Not the case so they don't have to worry about my money again. I will no longer visit them. In addition I will be vocal about this negative experience. read more

The food was delicious. The appetizers were amazing . We had charbroiled oysters and small scallops with spinach . Delicious. My husband got redfish which was amazing and I don't eat fish . I got grilled shrimp . So much food ! I really recommend it! read more

Had a lovely evening & an excellent server. I just had to comment that the lobster rolls were shocking to see when they came out. They were on a Hawaiian type style roll like you make sliders out of. Had they been called lobster sliders I would have expected this. So suggesting a name change. The server said customers say this all the time! So strange! They were very good just not that I'd expect ordering a lobster roll. I had the Redfish Anna & my husband had a steak, both were great. For dessert we had key lime pie & tres leches very yummy! read more

I really enjoyed this seafood spot on my first visit, although some of my family's been coming here for years now. The ambience is classy but relaxed, pretty hip but also professional. We started off with a bevy of apps including the crispy lobster rolls, pimento cheese toast, and my personal favorite, the Jackson Hot Catfish (pictured). We also hounded some zucchini fries and fried crab claws. Our waiter was super friendly and made us feel at home. I had the Redfish Anna for my main which was also delicious. Go here fam. read more

The food might be decent, but it's completely overshadowed by the unprofessional and downright hostile behavior of the owner Jennifer Emerson. She yelled at her staff in front of customers, belittling them loudly across the dining area. No employee deserves to be treated that way especially not in front of a full room of patrons. It created such a tense and negative atmosphere and I won't support a business that treats its staff with such blatant disrespect. Do better and stop bullying teens. read more

We love CAET. Always a date night spot with friends. You can't beat the atmosphere. We like to sit at a table in the bar or on the patio. Always had great food and service. The cocktails are always good too. Definitely recommend!! read more

We visited on a Tuesday night. We started with fried crab claws and oysters which were great. My shaved brussel sprouts salad had nice crunches of marcona almonds and dried cherries. My fiancé's Scallop dish had great flavors, however the risotto was slightly undercooked.. Night took a turn when our waitress mistakenly thought we ordered two desserts and proceeded to tell my fiancé, "But you ordered this!" Then she abruptly left ...and returned a minute later all happy and oddly bubbly saying she got permission from her manager...to take the extra dessert away. The cake for two was absolutely delicious, rich and moist. However, the night felt RUINED after the extremely awkward encounter with our waitress. She was very inexperienced. Needs to learn better social skills and to speak clearly. read more

Great service and delicious food. Hubble loved his steak that was done to perfection and so tender he didn't need a knife to cut. Great gumbo too! read more

A very nice atmosphere. Masks are required however, some of the guests waiting inside weren't abiding by the rules. We had a reservation and didn't have to wait in the lobby area. They have a large list of wines but I decided on one of their specialty cocktails. I had the Casablanca which was awesome. I really liked the orange flavor. My husband had the basic tequila and ginger ale which he said was mixed well. We started with the Oyster Rockefeller and the wedge salad which were good. The blue cheese was sweeter than I would've wanted as I like the sharpness of blue cheese but my husband and daughter loved it that way. The bacon was nice and crunchy. It also had some pickled onions which was a nice touch. My daughter had the gumbo which she said was quite good. My husband and I had the redfish which was cooked well. It came with green beans and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were creamy and tasty. My daughter had the flounder which was very good as well. Both fish were cooked and seasoned to perfection. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was divine. The caramel sauce was good and the pudding had a crunch and it wasn't overly sweet as many bread pudding could get. The texture was perfect. We will definitely come back to visit again. read more

Had the privilege of eating here for a wedding rehearsal. Place was packed (always a good sign) but staff was friendly and attentive. Food was amazing!! Lump crabmeat with lemon sauce over Redfish, oh my, and the banana pudding ice cream. If I'm ever in the area again I'm going back!! read more

My wife brought me here as part of my Father's Day Present. She had no issues making reservations (10/10). They have multiple seating options (candle light in the rear for date night, open area by the windows for family, and a bar area (10/10). We were promptly seated and our waiter was amazing. He offered several recommendations (10/10). We opted for fried lobster rolls as an appetizer. They were lightly breaded and fried to perfection (10/10). Our waiter constantly checked to see if we were okay. I ordered the charbroiled oyster sampler. They were very flavorful (10/10). My wife had a salad with shrimp and some type of vinaigrette dressing (10/10). We split a bourbon pecan bread pudding with ice cream, it was a perfect blend of flavors and enough for 3 people (10/10). I will most definitely be returning. read more

We had a reservation and were sat expeditiously. The server was prompt in greeting us and made great recommendations. The appetizer came out quickly and was superb! The main dishes, accomplishing the same. The kitchen is open concept and immaculately kept. The ambiance is comfortable, chic, yet casual. It's the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner, date night, or special event! We will certainly patronize CAET again! read more

The Mississippi Bail Agents Association and Ms Prosecutors Association hosted a legislative thank you dinner here. My first time going. Every detail was perfect for our group. Cocktails were served promptly, and accurately. The appetizers served were fresh, extremely popular, as our guest left none when the plates were taken away. Our meals were served also very timely for such a large group. Food temperatures were also proper and at temperature. The meal itself was equally delicious and very satisfying. As a host of an event, we pay attention to how well our guests finish their meals. Ending the meal with a variety of desert options made for an excellent event. Management and the server staff assigned to us were absolutely perfect. I could not have asked for anything more perfect. I look forward to returning for date night. We will return for future legislative dinners. Outstanding Restaurant. read more

The food was yummy, the staff were very friendly & the atmosphere was so perfect for a romantic date night!

The food was delicious and the ambience is nice. Great place for a date or birthday dinner. I highly recommend the F-E 76... yummy

We celebrated my birthday at Caet this week. It's one of our go to restaurants for special occasions. Reservations are recommended. We arrived a little early and we were promptly seated. Ordered cocktails and wine and studied the menu. I'm not sure why because I'd already decided to try the Hanger Steak because it looked so good the last time we were there. I ordered mine medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. I don't know what the sauce is but it compliments both the beef and potatoes. The portion was generous and I had the leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still delicious reheated. Previously we've tried the Red fish Ana, and the flounder entrees and they were both delicious. I've gotten a half Caet salad and it was enough for two. The only things I've ordered and not loved were the giant onion rings, they are giant thick sliced not giant big around and the black rice. Nothing was wrong with the dishes, just my personal preference. The last two times we've been we were seated in the dining room to the right of the entrance. It's not a crowded area and we think it'd be a great location for a private party. Table sizes are for two to about 10 diners. I can't wait for the next opportunity to celebrate at Caet! read more

This is our absolute favorite restaurant. We have never tried anything that wasn't great. From the oysters to the steak and all in between. Redfish Anna is always a hit and the Jackson Hot Catfish is a must every visit. By far the best restaurant in the Jackson area and is worth an hour drive at minimum. The ambience is very nice and has a wonderful atmosphere with a wonderful wait staff. More times than not the staff is impeccable. Last but not least the bar is fantastic and Caet has some wonderful cocktails to meet basically anyone's taste. Cheers everyone and enjoy a wonderful meal. P.S. I have never left a review before but this place is so good in all aspects I felt it necessary to share. When in doubt this is always the top choice every chance we get. We have a long list of places we want to try, however never seem to go anywhere else, lol. read more

Ambiance was good, restaurant was filed with happy people. Had fantastic onion rings for an appetizer but quickly learned the dipping sauce was not ketchup! Salmon was prepared to my liking and garlic mashed were also great . 5 stars and a great dinner outing for my wife and I read more

Amazing food, atmosphere, service. Everything was delicious and would recommend everyone to come experience the great food. The service was amazing and our server was very personable. Honestly, best service I've received and I have been to an abundant amount of fine dining restaurants in my life. Highlights: Soft shell crabs were a nice medium size and serviced with a creamy butter sauce. Ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium. I could tell it was premium quality. However, the shaved Brussels sprouts that comes with the ribeye were overwhelmingly salty. The sea bass with the curry and risotto was spectacular. It is something that should be permanent on the menu. Now the dessert! Homemade cookies and cream ice cream... I need a pint to take home. Reese's peanut butter pie was very decadent and rich. It would be perfect if it came with a glass of milk to cut the richness of the mousse and chocolate. Overall, 10/10 experience and will come back. read more

We booked the Chef's Dining Room for a private party of twelve this past Saturday and couldn't be happier with our experience. The room itself has a round table and that made it nice to be able to talk to everyone in the group. The room does have a door, so we were not disturbed/ did not disturb others in the dining room. The food was excellent. We ordered several appetizers and everyone raved about the Pimento Cheese Toast. Most folks got a half wedge salad and were pleased with it. Members of the group ordered steaks, seafood, and burgers and everyone enjoyed their meal. Food was served in a timely fashion and everything was delicious. Most of the group got desert and we enjoyed the Strawberries & Cream Blondie, Carmel Tart, and the chocolate cake. Our server, Alex, and the other staff that assisted him did a wonderful job in making sure we were taken care of and provided excellent service. They were there when we needed them, but did not intrude on our celebration. This was our first dinner at CAET and it will not be our last. The food and service is excellent and I highly recommend CAET for dinner and also if you need a place for a private dinner/function. read more

We dined there last night for Valentines dinner. Our server was very nice and efficient. However, the servers that delivered meal were almost slinging the plates on the table. We usually like to linger over each course, but felt quite rushed to order and felt like we were being pushed. We had a very early reservation so there was plenty of time to turn the table. The oysters were fresh and very clean. My husband ordered scallops on risotto and it was very flavorful. I had shrimp and grits that were above average. The cauliflower with grilled feta cheese was AMAZING and could be a whole meal by itself. Our mixed drinks were okay, but nothing special. Coffee was excellent and HOT! The bread pudding was very dense and the chocolate cake was enough for four to share. Our tab for 3 apps, 5 entrees, 2 desserts, 2 coffees and 7 mixed drinks was almost $500. We felt it was a descent value for the amount spent. read more

Still in MS and exploring all things Jackson before we leave in two weeks. Stepped out of one of our other favorites to try this place. Easy to get a reservation in a Friday night. Was sat in about 5 mins of out actually reso time. The place is large with a open kitchen concept right outside of the main dining area. Large bar that I would love to tackle on another visit. Wine cellar that is beautiful. Now to the food/service: We had the shaved Brussels salad, crab claws and oysters for apps. The salad was great! I would recommend it and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it would be even better with some protein on top, but definitely doesn't need it. The crab claws were a bit skimpy. Taste was good but wasn't a lot of meat on them. My main dish was excellent. The grouper with lobster risotto hit the spot. Everything was cooked to perfection. The flavor was spot on. My co-worker also enjoyed her redfish dish. The lamp Chops for a just ok for the price. Our sever was just ok but I did witness some excellent service from other waiters. We didn't get anything to drink and the dessert menu didn't float out boat but I would def come back. read more

My favorite meal in Jackson. Get the scallop dish and salted caramel dessert every time.

This place was crazy busy - on a Tuesday night. So first, I recommend getting reservations. And second, it was hopping because the food was phenomenal. We started with the small charcuterie board - delicious! Second course, we shared the mussels - yummm. For our entrees, we both had red fish. I had the red fish Anna; he had the red fish with lemon butter sauce and a side of Brussels sprouts. Both our entrees were absolutely incredible! They were cooked perfectly and a healthy portion size. The manager, Ashley, brought out two desserts - although we only requested one. She was cheerful and informative. The only issue with service was that my date did not get a second drink he requested. Not a great miss, but otherwise the service was spot on. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Jackson! read more

Lots of sugar where not necessary. I had to send my salad back. Was so sweet it should have been listed as a dessert. Overpriced. Coffee tastes like coffee flavored water, not coffee. The 3- $40 scallops were very good, but the preparation it sat on was very poorly done. An exercise in show with no sense of flavor blending to back it up. The fried catfish was nothing but very salty crisps. Sorry. I had high hopes. read more
