When I first came in, I filled out the service card and went to pick a color. While looking at the choices, I had three different people come up to ask me if I was ready. I had barely taken a glance over all the options and already felt rushed. I got short acrylic overlay with regular Polish and a matte topcoat. Being someone who had had her nails done since age 18, I know that like furniture, you have to wait a bit in between coats of paint, or the paint won't cure. I watched as the three coats were put on, and I was set in front of their "drying station" which had one tiny bulb every foot around or so. After sitting for 10 minutes, I noticed my nails weren't curing, so I asked the tech how long it usually takes to dry. With major attitude, she says 15-20 minutes more....which can't be right. I've never waited under a dryer 15 minutes to dry regular polish. Asked another person there, and he says it should only take about 5-7 minutes. I wait the 7 minutes before I leave, and here I am typing this review with sloppy and uncured nails that are super thick. The more I look at them, the angrier I am about the dirty looks I was given when questioning the staff. Will not be back, and do not recommend. read more

Today, I returned to Caesar's Nails & Spa to get a pedicure/manicure. As a person with a disability, I normally never have issues with manicures, but pedicures tend to be a big hairy deal. Most salons don't have a separate bucket for my feet and turn me away. The two previous times I went to Caesar's, there was a bucket. Both times I went in, was offered a beverage, was told to pick out my color, etc., so I didn't think today would be any different. Well, it was. It was busier because of Mother's Day weekend, so the minute I entered the place they told me that they couldn't accommodate the pedicure because I couldn't get out of my wheelchair. I explained that they had the bucket and then a woman said, "Oh, okay, well it will be an hour." She took my number. Over an hour later, no call. So I go inside and the woman looks annoyed as soon as she saw me. I was told by the receptionist that she tried to call twice. My phone had no missed calls. A few minutes later, a guy appears and directs me over to this empty corner of the salon near no TVs, sinks, and says they'll bring the bucket there. I felt like a second class citizen. I then politely asked to be relocated to the actual pedicure area, near the water, so they could freshen the water in the bucket. He look looked annoyed, but puts me in the back corner at an empty pedicure station and tells me to hang on. Then he disappears. He doesn't ask me to pick a color, he didn't offer me a drink (every other able bodied person gets this treatment) and after ten minutes of waiting, no one showed. So I left. While I realize that a pedicure is a luxury, it sucks to feel like such a leper and to be treated like one. The first review I wrote for this establishment was full of compliments, but now, after today's treatment, I realize that I must have been dreaming when I wrote my first review. Very large, high end nail salon, but the person who did my nails assured me they would clean up the paint around the edges and never did, then one of them broke the very same day I got them. The heavenly dream pedi was amazing but I wish they had put as much work in for my hands as they did for my feet. Great place to meet up with a friend. The place was clean. I just didn't like that none of the ladies smiled and made us felt welcome. The only that was super nice was the Hispanic with long hair and glasses. I went there specifically for the OPI Mexico collection. The person who was doing my color did only one coat to finish with me. My friend who got the manicure also was not happy with the service. I did not feel rushed at all. they did not have the color I wanted but she still accommodated me with something similar to what I wanted. I have vistied Caesar's Nail & Spa a few time - got regular manicure a few time and a gel manicure once. They serve wine, margarita's and tea/coffee while you sit there... they also have a lot of TV's all over the place - they really succeeded at making this a nice and relaxing experience. And everyone is very nice and they are great at accommodating last minute appointments. For one of them I called a few minutes before, got lost getting there, came in 15 minutes late and they apologized for not being able to sit me right away - poor me, had to wait for 10-15 minutes sipping my wine... ooohhhh... ;) Except for one bad nail polish job, the quality has been very consistent and regular manicures last a few days (that's typical for my nails, on the longer side) and gel lasted pretty much the longest compared to most other places (almost full two weeks!). Now, people might argue they are on a $$$ side, but... I am from San Francisco, where all prices are 3X the norm, so seems reasonable, but double check! read more

I highly recommend Danny and Tiffany. They did a perfect job and I really enjoyed talking with Danny about everything! I've been to other salons where I've gotten a powder dip gel manicure and it lifts within days (costs the same). Because Danny drills down the edges - this manicure will never lift off - plus there is no UV used. The man who did my dip nails was very nice. But I noticed he filed my nails a little bit then started putting the dip stuff on immediately. It was my first time, so I wasn't sure if this was normal. I asked him if he was going to treat my cuticles, push them back, cut, etc. He said that they do that later because he doesn't want to burn my finger when he uses the drill. Ok, I thought, I'll just let him do his thing. Well, he didn't treat my cuticles at all. He didn't even clean under my fingernails. I asked him to clean the crud from under the fingernails that was supper obvious. He cleaned it as an afterthought. No massage either. No lotion. I've learned since that it is not normal to not treat and clean the nail before applying the dip. For $55 ($85 for the whole mani pedi), I consider this to be a more upper scale nail place. Sooo it's pamper day. I came to Austin to visit my boyfriend and his mother brought me here. She has been frequenting here for a while and rants and raves about the service and drinks. Yes I said drinks!! Wine and Mimosas. Our appt was for 10 am when they opened. It was a bit crazy and the colors that they had on display were nowhere to be found Turns out they ran out of the gel to match OPI Octoberfest nail polish the night before and they forgot to remove the display. Took about 20 minutes to figure all of this out and a begin to grow impatient. They asked me if I wanted another color about 3 times No, my mind didn't change after the first 2 times you asked me... Nonetheless, once the ball begin rolling Sarah and another young lady did my pedicure and manicure and did a superb job. Very kind and professional and the attention to detail is wonderful. She was nice but was in a hurry as her children were waiting for her. If all of this was not bad enough for the $56 I paid - today a huge chip came off of one of my nails! Grant you the $56 "manicure" did not even warrant a hand massage! Seriously! DO NOT go here! She kept cleaning her bowls in the water where his feet were and leaving the residue in there. When we left we told the manager and he said "let me go and tell her," then brings her over and points at his toes. They proceed to have a dialogue in front of all the customer, we couldn't understand, and then he discounted $3 off of a $60 tab.
