So I stop by this place on Sunday to pick up a Pizza that was ordered over the phone. I get there and am told that the pizza is not ready, no problem. I proceed to pay for the pizza by credit card, not asking how much it was. After waiting for a while, I look at my credit card receipt. OMG, I'm shocked. I just paid $19.24 for a white pie. A year ago I would have given 5 stars and said hands down the best pizza in Rockland. But recently the place has slipped tremendously in food quality and service. The last few times I have ordered the food was sub par. The last pizza was overcooked and the pasta dish was very watery and tasteless. There seems to be new staff who are anything but friendly. Watch your bill to as they tried to overcharge me. This used to be the go to place for me but not anymore. I hear this a lot from people in the area. Love this place. Been coming here for years. The only problem is that there are alot of people that call themselves customers that try ti get a free one here and there by complaining. I go to the same dunkin doughnuts and once in a while I get a bad coffee or a mistake is made. Big deal things happen. Well I will start off by saying why i only put one star is because I can't give 0 stars. We have been a customer for over 2 years and we order at least 2-3 times per week and tonight the food and the service was the worst ever and the food was horrible. We ordered Chicken Parm which is normally pretty good but my wife asked to make the sauce with Fra diavolo sauce as I wanted my food spicy tonight and their version is to just add red crush paper to their current Marinara Sauce which tonight was very bland! My wife's order was not right either she too asked for Fra diavolo sauce and they sent her what looked like shrimp scampi instead of Shrimp, pasta and Fra diavolo sauce. She called them to let them know that the order is not correct that the shrimp in not in Fra diavolo sauce, it is in a some white sauce and the chef or manager told her that Fra diavolo sauce is white. Clearly this chef or manager doesn't know Italian food or how to cook it for sure. Their website states Shrimp Fra diabolo!! Here maybe the owner if he values reviews can teach his chef or manager how to make Shrimp Fra diabolo. I should of read the reviews here and did not know how bad they were on Yelp until tonight. I don't like to rely on reviews to make a decision for me but I can tell you from what I have read here tonight, they are not off compared to my experience tonight. I am in the service business as well and if I had reviews like this I would be retraining my staff or replacing them quickly to save my business. At least train them on how to deliver customer service at the least. The only helpful person was the woman that answered the phone. One star because I had to, this place has the worst service, it is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We ordered a Penne pizza and received a BLT pie. Our receipt said BLT pie, and when we (finally) got our pie it was COLD. We tried to eat the pizza because we felt bad about making them come back after the delivery guy had already left in a hurry but found it to be the most disgusting pizza I've ever had! After deciding there was no way anyone would eat this we called back to ask for a different pie and offered to pay, so long as there was a discount but the woman was so rude to my coworker that no one from our store will EVER order from this place again nor will anyone I know because everyone I've told is so incredibly appalled. The woman with such attitude told us "its what is on your receipt honey, can't help you." If you order from this place beware that the pizza you order will not be what you recieve and you will get a severe attitude when you try and meet them halfway! I will be putting this review on every social media platform until this place runs into the ground, I've never been treated so terribly from a pizza place. My husband and I have been ordering from there for about a year now. Their pizza is less than impressive but we usually order other meals and pizza on occasion. Today was the last time we'll be ordering from them. My husband, my 6 year old son and I are all feeling under the weather and wanted some nice hot, fresh soup. Well, one minute into my husband eating his soup, he found a dead fly in it. Smh... As you can imagine, it only made him feel sicker. We had already waited an hour for the food so we weren't going to order from any place else so we had to deal with it. We couldn't even enjoy the rest of the food we ordered. We tried eating some but everything ended up going in the garbage as we were grossed out. My husband called to let them know about the soup and the "MANAGER" says..."uuuuhhhh....I'm sorry about that. We can give you a $5 credit on your NEXT order." Seriously?!!! You should've just offered to reimburse us for our full order! Do you really think we're going to feel like ordering from you again??? After that response, it sealed the deal and we will NEVER order from Cacciatori Pizzeria ever again. They ended up bringing us $3.25 for the soup we found the bug in even though the other one ended up in the garbage too. Btw, we returned the bug with the delivery guy. Today I ordered 2 pies was told on the phone 24 and it would take 45minutes. When the poor delivery girl comes I'm told 30.24 (barely had enough cash and tip). No clue how it went up 6 bucks. But ok, everyone make a mistake right. I bring the pies in and they are undercooked (the cheese was barely melted, and the crust looked pale - not even a toasty tan in my opinion). I ran down the stairs and got the delivery girl and she called them and told them to make me 2 new pies. 30 minutes later we get our pies - 1 was perfect and the second was the exact pie I sent back, looked like it was sitting on the stove - it was cold. They must think I'm an idiot. So I called and the phone girl that answered was nasty. I asked for a manger or owner she told me no one was in. She then presided to ask me "what do I want". I need to feed these kids I tell her, so I need a new pie. Another 20-30 minutes for that second pie and have 7 teens hungry. We have ordered from them before (and done pick-ups) and have never had pizza like this before. Disappointed is an understatement. My family and I will NEVER be returning to this spot. read more
