The service here is exquisite. Both the gentleman handling order as well as the cook that brought out the food were phenomenal. The food was delicious and they even helped us order something that wasn't on the menu. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone coming through the area looking for a quick yummy eat in a nice calm little restaurant. read more

I heard good things about Jays so I went out of my way to get there. I loved seeing the kid at the counter on his cell phone. Very sparse pizzas on display and empty trays. I asked about garlic knots and told I have none. Ordered my slices and the owner made the garlic knots. People who ordered came in and the orders were not ready. Customer came in for 2 slices and they had 1. None in the oven and none in the oven. Got home, the pizza was salty and the knots were mini rolls. Sorry not a fan read more

Its usually best to call ahead or order online but every time I've gone they've never been too busy so I get my food fresh within a reasonable amount of time. They have a lot of options from pizza to salad to wings and more. Parking is never an issue as they are located in a shopping complex. read more

I am understanding and am grateful that in these times of staying home, they open their store everyday to provide food and offer contact less delivery. The food is delicious and comes hot. Yesterday I ordered a Supreme style pizza with extra toppings, for my family. I left for work and received a call from my cousin. That there was metal cooked into the pizza. I called the establishment and was met but a hostile attitude. I sent my cousin with the rest of the pizza so he could see. I paid $33 + a $7 tip. He did give me $20 back but later that night my friend became really sick and my mother in law was stuck in the bathroom most of the night. I am in the service industry and would never dream of being toxic to any of my customers for any reason. We pay for a service and not to get that service is a shame. I ordered delivery, Cheeseburger and fries, Shrimp Salad...Burger ended up in the trash. It was inedible, burnt so badly the NY Rangers could use it as a practice puck. Fries undercooked and cold. The dressing for the salad ended up in the trash too, disgusting. When I called to let management know how bad the food was the manager became defensive stating "well, you're the first person that hasn't like the burger.," Really? Just apologize and recover the guest, another fail. She was dismissive and condescending in her demeanor. I wasn't looking for anything free, just an apology for wasting my money. The pizza is okay, 3 stars, but if you can't make a basic food item, like a burger, then take it off your menu. To the owner: train your "manager" to improve her guest service skill set. read more

On my way back to the city from upstate, I had to pull over and get something to eat and this place appeared to my left...hey, give it a shot. An aloof gentleman took my order and my sandwich was made in a reasonable amount of time. The food was decent and it served it's purpose. The first thing I noticed when I ordered from here was that the servers were rude, when I asked to speak to the manager, the owner came out and he was just as rude if not more rude than the employees. I should have just left but I needed to get something to eat for my family so I let that slide, but when I peeked in the back I noticed that nobody was wearing gloves and the kitchen was dirty and greasy looking. We are local and we're happy to try this new place in town. We have been coming here for years and have watched the business go through many different owners. With that being said, the grandma slice is delicious. Given the various pizza places in town, this grandma slice is the best around! I think it was called Jay's slice. The new owner mentioned how he was changing the inside look and his overall plan seems like a good vision. He shared how he named the place after his daughter. I previously gave this place one star because of some issues they we're having during the plague. They could not fill orders and did not tell the customers and just delivered what they had instead of giving the customer the choice of adding other things. Friends of mine told me to give them a second chance because the "food is so great". Well. It is. I ordered the Jays square pie. Incredible. The white pie... just as good if not better than Tarantellas in Nyack. And the plain pie was very good as well. I'm very glad that I gave them a second chance. I ordered online thru their website. Extremely easy and the food came in just over a 1/2 hour on a Friday night. I can't wait to get pizza again. read more

Jay's Square Pizza is hands down 1 of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. This specific pizza maybe 1 of the best in Rockland. I have not tried any other pizza yet from them because how good this pizza is. I've ordered it 5 times in 2 weeks. My wife loves the stuffed mushrooms. The rice balls are also delicious. Loyal customer for years through multiple management. Tonight my wife picked up our weekly order and brought it home. It was room temperature at best. Instead of going out if his way to make it right and apologize I got excuses and asked how I wanted it. It was clearly a pie that had been sitting around and heating it up would be have dried it out. He clearly didn't realize this or didn't care. We will pay an extra amount of money to the other pizzerias now so they never get another dime of our money. Shame. read more

Good pizza, but the service is terrible! It's almost as if they don't want the business. They keep you waiting incredibly long compared to other local pizza spots in the area. I ordered online received a receipt and a confirmation email and waited until an hour passed to call to see where my food was they claimed they never got the order but my card was charged. After speaking to several people who seemed inconvenienced by my call it's now been two hours no food when I called back they offered me a free 2 liter of soda to try and appease me.
