The dishes that this team puts together in that kitchen are absolutely magical and filled with flavor. I discovered them a few years ago when I had a craving for fresh homemade pasta. The pasta is made fresh daily and also sold by the pound for take home meals. I don't get the pleasure of dining in often because it's always packed when I visit but this time there was a lonely table waiting for me. The restaurant is small and intimate. Casual but perfect for a date night or solo dining. In the summertime they have picnic tables outside to dine at as well. The focaccia bread is made in house daily and is served warm with a drizzle of good olive oil and flakey salt. Don't ever skip out on the bread!! The cucumber salad was inspiring. The cucumbers were served on a bed of hazelnut fava bean hummus??? Excuse me? My mouth is still watering from looking at the photos. It was so fresh and tangy. The pasta dish was warm, filling and cozy. It settled in all the right places and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. The chocolate chip cookies are also a must!! I'm not sure if they use cake flour or something because the cookies are crunchy on the edges but think and chewy once warmed up. They are not skimping on the chocolate inside either! Overall my meal was perfect, I cannot wait to dine here again to taste the love and magic that goes into each dish. PS- the menu is mostly seasonal so try what you can before the menu changes!

I love this pasta shop so much and can't wait to be back in Nyack to enjoy another one of their incredible pasta dishes. Be sure to try their piccolo negroni (absolutely incredible!) or if you're feeling something more light go for the not a spritz, you will not regret hehe. We didn't get any bread so I can't opine on it, the French onion soup was so salty it was inedible and I had to send it back. I wasn't a fan of the clams oreganato because they had some type of grated cheese flavor to them, one of my daughters agreed and the other agreed w my husband that they weren't bad. The raw oysters were fresh and very good. As far as the steaks we ordered the skirt and the ny strip which were good, the ribeye which was nothing special and the Brazilian steak which I didn't like at all, maybe it was the cut, it had a strange taste and I wouldn't get that again. The sides were good, mixed vegetables and mashed and rice. Desserts were good, we had the peach tart, flan and layer cake. I really wanted to like it here but for $300+ we all agreed the food was just ok. I won't be back when there are so many other options in Rockland.

First off, inside is very spacious with lots of indoor and a few outdoor seating. The place is well maintained and clean. It gives off a western vibe with its wooden interior and bull decorations. At the same time, it maintains a form of elegance with the nice tables. Ambiance rate 7.5/10. My family and I ordered... 1. Fried Calamari: This appetizer was okay, tasted like it's classic dish. Rate 7/10. 2. Filet Mignon Quesadillas: This appetizer was very delicious! The meat was very tender and the tortilla wrap was nice and crispy! Rate 10/10. 3. Rack of Lamb: This dish was upsetting because there wasn't a lot of meat on the rack. Plus, it wasn't cooked to my liking. The sauce was okay, nothing special. Rate 5/10. 4. Rib Eye Steak: This dish was very disappointing since it wasn't cooked to our liking. Plus, the meat was very chewy. However, the presentation of the dish was nice. Rate 3/10. 5. Porterhouse Steak: This dish was mediocre considering it wasn't cooked to our liking. Plus, it was very bland. However, the way they presented it by cutting, grilling, and serving it at the table was great! Rate 5/10. 6. Creamed Spinach This side did not taste good because the cheese tasted spoiled, and it had a very soupy like texture. Rate 4/10. 7. Parmesan Truffle Fries: These were very unsatisfying since I didn't even taste a single drop of truffle. Rate 2/10. It's important to note that all our specialty meats were all cooked well done when we ordered it to be medium to medium rare. The staff were very nice. However, the service was extremely slow. It took about 45 minutes for our main entrées to come out. This was surprising considering we were the only people in the restaurant during our meal. Staff/service rate 5/10. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this steakhouse due to the mediocrity and insipid taste of the dishes we ordered.
