Hello Cabo Bob! So my parents got a coupon to Cabo Bob years ago and have been raving about it and how amazing it is, well I finally gave in and gave it a try. Why did I wait so long!? Hello, parents know best! This is a game changer for all other taco/burrito joints in town. Move over Chipotle/Freebirds! You got nothing on Cabo Bob, sorry not sorry. The tortillas alone are worth it, they have a great selection and they are all fresh cooked to order! This is everything I've ever wanted, fresh tortillas, I could live on the tortillas alone. There is buttermilk flour, ancho chili, cilantro tomatillo, and smokey cheddar to choose from. If one of those doesn't satisfy you, that's a shame, but hey get a bowl! You can build your own burrito or pick one from the board. There are bowls, tacos, nachos and quesadillas, just something for everyone. Or just enough to make it too hard to choose from! The chips though are the other super stars here, yummy! Those are next level! Their other competitors have no chance when we talk about chips, these chips are bomb! First time at this location and it was blowing up on a Wednesday night. We decided to take our food to go since there was very little open seating left. To be fair, the dining room isn't all that big. But what it lacks in space it makes up for in taste! Same delicious Cabo food I've known for years. I went a different route this time and chose three tacos so I could try the different tortilla flavors-ancho chili, smoky cheddar, cilantro tomatillo. They all tasted fresh which makes sense considering they are pressed and cooked right in front of you. The topping options are plentiful and they definitely stuff the burritos as though they are making your last meal on earth. Enough for two! All of the sauces are great, but I really enjoy the OG 66 Red Sauce and spicy jalapeño. Pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything on their menu! read more

Easy online ordering for contactless pickup. Drive up, and give them your spot number. Eventually, they'll bring it out. Burritos are tastier than any of the competition and well worth the price in comparison. I don't recommend coming during the lunch rush. I went today and had the worst burrito from this place I've ever had. It was a sloppy assembly. Tasty as ever but what a hassle to eat! The whole side was split open and all the toppings were clumped. They didn't bother to double wrap (don't actually know if they do that here, but they should). The top was split open as well.. and by the time I navigated to the bottom I was left with a soggy pile of nothing but jalapeños. It was disappointing. I had a baby shower and wanted to have one of my favorites cater-- Cabo Bob's, you did not disappoint!!! My party planner ordered everything over the phone [from Dallas] with a friendly catering staff member who was accessible through the entire process and gladly made any last minute changes to our initial catering order. We ordered from this Austin location and they delivered on time and set up at our baby shower location in Round Rock. Delivery was prompt, professional, quick and friendly. We ordered the "Taco Bar" catering option with chicken and pork as our meat choices, grilled vegetables, black beans, white cilantro rice and 3 different tortilla options for our guests, and of course, all of the various Cabo Bob's fixings. Chips and queso was also included in our catering package, and so were utensils and flatware. The food was the talk of the party!! All of our guests loved every single option and bite!! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Been here twice, got the fried fish burrito both times. The staff is friendly and quick, and there is plenty of seating (well, pre-COVID anyway). I really like the composition of the fish burrito although wish it was easier to just order things they way they are designed - if you don't want to customize it you have to remember how the type of burrito you want was described. But I understand that most people are probably picking and choosing amongst the ingredients. This would be a 4-star review except the last time I went there was something off in my burrito, which I had gotten to-go (or I would have taken it back to the counter for a replacement. Every other bite tasted...moldy? I don't think the fish was off and I didn't get sick; I think it was probably the rice. The first visit was perfect and that happened the second; I haven't been back since even though I know something like rice being off is probably just a fluke. read more

I thought it might be a better Chipotle-style fast-casual spot when I had an opportunity to taste some of their food at a catered event. I've decided in favor of Chipotle, which I've always liked. At least the one one Anderson. You might think otherwise. Tacos are like turkey stuffing and chili. You generally grow up liking a particular style and it's unlikely you'll budge. I'm a Mexico City girl, born and raised. Cabo Bob's doesn't serve beer, it's closed on Sundays and it's a lot louder. And I haven't mentioned the food! It's fun to select the tortillas for your tacos by their color but I'm a corn taco gal so flour tacos - no matter what - just don't cut it for me. My two favorite items there are QUESO and NACHOS (yum!). These are TexMex classics, but my butt gets wider if I just think of these foods, so I avoid them. read more

I wish they would come up to Plano, but I used to go to Cabo Bob's in various locations around Austin 5 days a week for multiple years and my visits back to Austin are not the same without a burrito with a fresh pressed tortilla. Even with all of those visits, my enthusiasm has not wavered in the slightest and it's still one of my favorite places on earth. The burritos are really big and filling and you can choose what kinds of tortillas you want and they make them right before they make the burrito. This is by far the best spot that I've found for nachos. The chips they use actually have structural integrity, and they do not skimp on the ingredients at all. There's so much food piled onto these nachos, I've had about 3 separate meals out of one nacho plate. Let me also give a tip to y'all in general. You don't have to eat the whole meal from any restaurant in one sitting, really. I almost always take half of my food home and eat it later. Below is my review for the Cabo Bob's off of Rio Grande St. but I copied it onto here because I believe everything translates over. The only difference I've noticed (regarding this location compared to the Rio Grande location) is that the line did not get as long as the Rio Grande location - at least when I went, which is typically around 7pm. Regardless, both locations have great employees that make each order quickly (without losing quality) and make the long lines seem much shorter. Overall, great food, great service - a must stop when visiting Austin! Starting here is my copied review from the Rio Grande location: Cabo Bob's is one of my favorite places to eat in Austin! For those that do not know what Cabo Bob's is, think of it as a local style Chipotle except with more options to customize your order. For example, there are 4 different tortilla options - buttermilk flour, ancho chili, cilantro tomatillo, and smokey cheddar - which you can also combine any of these different options together if you can't decide between 2. I always get the burrito and typically, change it up a little each time I go and would recommend you do the same and try out different things each time you come in! Some things that I've tried and loved - the smokey cheddar tortilla, ancho chili tortilla, cilantro tortilla, chicken, brisket, chipotle crema, and their 66 red sauce. They also have a few TVs set up (typically playing a sports game), which I really appreciate. There is usually a pretty long line around lunch and dinner time but would say not to be intimidated because the line moves pretty quickly!
