Rick was gracious enough to treat my family to a make up dinner and since then we have been back tenfold. Before, during, and since the Coronavirus we have had the opportunity to do many take outs. My boys have bragged to everyone about your Smoky Cheddar tortillas, mango salsa, brisket, and I can't get enough of your salads. We have tried just about everything on your menu and I am happy to report that your staff is friendly and warm. While you still don't have sweet tea, I have found a new love in your limeade. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to come back and try your restaurant again. We've kicked Chipotle to the curb and you're our only one true love. read more

If you're looking for a covid safe spot to eat this is not the place. The food was just ok, but the service/personnel was very concerning and why I'm only giving one star. I ordered my food to go, forgot to get chips so I added chips and queso when I picked up. First off, the cashier had no gloves on when he handed me my order and not to mention he grabbed and bagged my chips after I paid cash and didn't wash his hands or sanitize. My kid was so hungry we sat down to eat there. Big mistake. The lobby was super dirty, every table had dried up food particles on it, meaning every time someone eats there its not cleaned up and sanitized, luckily I carry wipes and wiped the table and seat for my child and I to eat except for the chips we threw those out. However, while eating I noticed some questionable disturbing behavior, the same guy that checked us out was behind the glass harassing his co-workers. Poking and pulling on some girls bra/shirt. Poking and touching the young man that was making the dough inappropriately, all I heard was stop! stop it! He didn't stop and was just laughing and poking not a care in the world that a customer was in the lobby. That was highly disturbing to watch from my table, as he wouldn't stop touching or bothering them. I just packed us up and left. First time here. Yummy steak burritos! There are many different filling options, which is nice! I enjoyed the cooked vegetable fillings like poblanos and zucchini. The downside is that the rice is really bland. But you can make up for it with other fillings that are flavorful. I really appreciate the kitchen staff wearing masks at this time. We ate in and were glad there was space between tables and it wasn't crowded. However, would not recommend sitting next to the window, due to it being a popular area for flies to hang out. read more

Always a great spot to hit for lunch. This is actually my first visit to this location, but the quality of the food and friendliness of the people who work there didn't change. Their location closer to my office is where I'm a usual. Their fish tacos are a must -which also happens to be my go-to. Their burritos are fresh, humongous, and not to be taken lightly. Cabo Bob's is the idea of the surfer version. Fresh ingredients, multiple choices of meat, multiple choices of tortillas. Although all flour tortillas but different flavors like cilantro tomatillo. Tortillas are pressed fresh to order which is awesome. And even though there are preset choices for bowls Tacos & Burritos the friendly staff at the counter still asks you what else you would like in what ends up being a massive burrito at least it was in my case. The wife got tacos also ordered some queso and guac. Everything was delicious. Also wanted to notewl that the interior of the restaurant is very clean. Also be sure to try out the different flavors of hot sauce so yummy. So the takeaway is this in a town with lots of choices in an area with lots of competition Cabo Bob's puts forth a yummy fresh meal in a very clean environment that fills your belly and then makes you want to take a nap... Recent visit was disappointing. Asked for extra cilantro. She threw a small pinch on so I asked for a bit more. She shot back that there was already cilantro on it. Dang. Then, when asking for a few more chips to finish the queso, she balked. I offered to pay for more but she rolled her eyes, put her phone down, and gave me some more as if she now had to stay an hour past closing time. This attitude could firm of a1 at time guest. They made some fresh when they found they didn't have enough for my tacos, but didn't make enough to fill them! Atmosphere: 3/5 Typical restaurant. Still had that construction smell. Small. I come here more than often and every time seems to go smoothly for me. But yesterday was not a friendly visit at all. The line was good at making my burrito but the cashier and what looked like to be a supervisor were extremely rude. Understandably my friend was the last one building his burrito so we were waiting on him but to start talking shit underneath your breath is completely uncalled for. We then proceeded to ask for drinks as my last friend offered to pay for them we were waiting( not even waiting they were wrapping up his burrito) the regular chasier proceeded to say the total and I and my friend said m our last friend would pay for them the short ugly attitude supervisor proecced to say can they get the fuck outta my line in Spanish and then proceeded to yell at us "someone cover it omg" idk if we caught them on the wrong day which doesn't seem to be the case because that supervisor always looks me up and down as I enter. Fish tacos with mango pico .... yeah buddy! Then add a little lime ... for some reason summer and Cabo Bob's fish tacos go hand in hand for me. It's a go to comfort food for this time of year for sure. I am absolutely a fan of them. The fresh made tortillas... Smokey cheddar is my jam! Although on my last visit I saw another patron make a burrito with half cilantro tomatillo and half Smokey cheddar and it blew my mind! I'll definitely be testing this out on my next visit. This location was pretty much as good as any of the other locations I've been to. It's as busy as the other 2 I've been to as well unfortunately, but they're quick to make burritos so usually the line will dwindle away quickly. Amazing burritos. Cabo bobs is essential chipotle style create your own burritos / tacos / nachos but way way better. If you haven't tried it, check out Cabo Bob's. It's kind of a big deal in Austin. My favorite is their cilantro tamatillo tortilla for my burrito, with all the fixings. They opened a location close to my house on N. 183. I can't get enough of their burritos. Absolutely love their food. I wondered what made them successful at their other locations until I met the owner Terri and her head team. Watched another car park next to us, have the manager (owner?) come out to his car and greet him - with his kitchen gloves still on. Waited some more. Watched the same manager come out to deliver the other car's order, still with kitchen gloves on (no mask though). We continued to wait. I came here for the first time a couple days ago and have been back every day since. That's usually a good sign. This place is amazing. They have a lot more options than your other burrito places like Freebirds or chipotle. They also have fish tacos which are very hard to find - Especially at this price point.Not only is the tortilla soft and chewy but it comes in four separate flavors and I have to say it's the best tortilla in this industry. We came here on a friends recommendation. It's like you've stepped into a San Diego cafe near the beach. It's got that kind of laid-back attitude. I had the fish burrito. They make their own tortillas which makes it really special. My only negative is a regarding the fish itself they are more like fish fingers or fish tenders that you would eat as a kid. Not necessarily A Bad Thing. I think the price is great for what you're getting definitely hit this place up for lunch. I'm going to try the steak burrito next time. read more

Always great service! The folks that work here are hard workers and are always genuine with their customer service. Even when things don't go according to plan (things happen!), they make it right. I really liked Cabo Bob's till last three time unfortunately experiences which lead to this updated 3 star review.... Their service is going downhill... portions getting smaller and smaller... I like their fried fish tacos and I normally don't need any toppings except poblanos and onions, so when I order them, the staff only give me two strings of onions and one string of poblano... I mean come on! Can't they be more stingier? So I asked if I can have a bit more, and then she just gave me extra one piece of each... (sweat) okay I'm not asking that much....... Can I please have just bit more of the poblanos? I mean, I don't need any other toppings or nothing... then you can see the staff rolling her eyes.... Sigh. You can get burritos, tacos, or salad bowl and even give you selection of different types of tortillas. The tortillas are made fresh right in front of you and they cook all their meats on Big Green Egg grills. They also have queso, salsas, and their own house made hot sauce. Cabo Bob's, I am so excited to have you as my neighbor! When you aren't in the mood for a burrito bomb extending your stomach way past your normal waistline, they offer a Burrito Bowl completel with chicken fajita, brown rice, baja beans, cilantro, cheese, chipotle crema, mango pico, and guacamole. If reading the perfect medley of ingredients wasn't enough, let me just say they are each a proportionate addition to the dish and the sum is greater than the parts. Though the parts are pretty darn fresh and quality. Especially that chipotle crema. So tangy and zesty and not overbearing. The bowl is robust and each flavor profile shines while co-existing with all the fun stuff happening. The chicken is fresh and if you really are hankering for a big ol' 'ritto. They have tortillas made fresh right in front of you. The assembly line is a well-oiled machine that gets you your food fast, unless you want to sit and enjoy your time at Cabo Bob's - they do have a nice patio for when the weather is nice.
