Amazing place for Mexican food and all fresh for you to go. Great food and atmosphere.

----7 CHIPS---- 7 Chips allowed?? For a meal? 7 CHIPS? When I politely went to ask for more chips for my family and I the man, younger middle aged man at 4:30pm 06/17/25 told me that I was lucky to have gotten any more than 7 chips. :(((( was my reaction. What?!? I thought the chips were free so long as you purchased the queso. Ridiculous. Bro --HOWEVER-- The sweetest employee of all time, AMELIA, saved the day and apologized for an issue that wasn't her fight. Great leadership from her. No hard feels I love you guys. Just thought this was funny. But what????!! EnTItY Approved! read more

Cabo Bobs is a local Austin establishment offering some of the best burritos in the city. They offer burritos, bowls, tacos, and nachos. It is a fast casual spot offering various meats, rice, beans, and toppings you can put in your burrito. I got their crispy fish as my protein and they make these burritos really big and pack in all the fillings. These burritos could be big enough for two people. I went during memorial day and they had a line to the door for several hours and managed to work through the line pretty quickly. This is a great spot to grab a quick bite that is way better than your other options like chipotle. Can't wait to go back to try other combos and the many options they have on their menu. read more

I'm happy to say this is the best burrito spot in Austin!! This was my first visit and it was during lunch time. The food is hot and ready, and very good. The prices are reasonable for Austin and the ingredients are fresh. There's plenty of meat and side options to choose from along with queso and chips. Even during lunch we got our food quick because your burrito is made as the line moves along. The seating is limited, especially for lunch and the fountain drinks aren't your conventional Coke or Pepsi, but something local and completely different. Don't let that deter you from going here. I would highly recommend it. Good burritos a Texan or Californian would enjoy! read more

I ate here with my team and they completely got my order wrong. I can excuse a couple mistakes but it was completely wrong. I am actually lactose so I specifically order non dairy foods. I took a bite and it is LOADED with sour cream. Try a different location, this one is not it. read more

Love coming here for burritos. If you like Chipotle you will LOVE Cabo Bobs. They have freshly made to order tortillas in different flavor options. Many different types of meats including my favorite, crispy fish. They have a lot of different hot sauce options as well and fountain drinks you won't find anywhere else. Truly a hidden gem. I usually split a burrito bowl with my wife and we both end up full and satisfied, so you know the portions are huge! My favorite is the brisket and crispy fish with either the cilantro and tomatillo tortilla or smokey cheddar tortilla. Check out their habanero hot sauce, probably the best hot sauce I've had at a "fast food" joint. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Better than I expected! This place ran like a well oiled machine. Got a bit discouraged when I walked in and saw the line but it moved so fast because the servers were just that fast. They thought of everything! The neatest thing was being that alot of the servers are Spanish speaking, so they have the ingredients on the glass for you to point to as a form of communication. The food was hot, fresh and very well seasoned. Straight up delicious! There was plenty of seating whether you wanted outdoor or indoor and the restaurant was very clean, neat, and organized despite the huge crowd of people. I was very impressed and will be back! read more

Excellent food, excellent service, nice atmosphere. Recommend it 100%, especially if you're from California and miss the Baja taste.

The burritos and bowls are Always on point!! Customize it any way imaginable. But the secret are the Fish Tacos!! I mean you can get burrito pretty much anywhere in town, and that's great, but the fish tacos are the shizz here!! In general, fish tacos are kind of hard to find but if you're looking for them, come check out Cabo Bobs!! Everyday during lunch time they're always packed and I mean like really packed. But you know what they say, that's a Tell-Tell sign that they are really good!! But even when they're packed, the line constantly moves at a steady pace, and you're not sending there for very long before you're served! P.S. Police & Military discount available!! read more

Cabo Bob's Burritos - Burrito Chicken - Mexican Near Me - Austin, Texas

Chipotle used to be my go-to fast food spot, but after moving to Austin, Cabo Bob's has taken its spot. Cabo bobs is known for its homemade burritos. The tortillas are freshly-pressed in front of you and have 4 different flavors including ancho chili and cilantro. You can actually taste the difference between their tortillas and the typical store bought ones. My usual order is a chicken burrito, plus brown rice, black beans, pico, guacamole, lettuce, grilled onion, and fresh onion. The flavors taste fresher and the energy feels more like you're at a cantina than a fast food joint. I do still love a good Chipotle bowl but Cabo Bob's is definitely my go to fast food burrito. read more

So I've heard that this is one of the best places to be when in the Austin/Houston area, so obviously, I had to make a stop and it was SO beyond worth it! My sister and I decided to build our own tacos. I got one crispy fish, and one brisket/steak. She got one crispy fish, one pork, and one steak. All of them were absolutely incredible! The fresh pressed tortillas really push them over the edge, along with all of the fresh toppings, and house made sauces! All of the proteins were so well seasoned! The steak and brisket were extremely tender and juicy and the crispy fish was crispy on the outside and perfectly flaky on the inside. The prices were also an absolute steal!! The fact that I was able to get two, HUGE, fully loaded tacos with unlimited toppings, a drink, a large order of guac and chips and queso for a little over $17 (including tip), IN THIS ECONOMY - is absolutely unreal!! Sidenote: They have their own line of fountain drinks and they are FANTASTIC!! I did a ginger ale + cherry limeade combo, and it was SO GOOD!! Cabo Bobs is everything chipotle wishes it could be. Also, seeing as it was our first time, it took us a little while to decide on what we wanted and all of the staff members were so sweet, patient, and super helpful! The whole experience not only met but surpassed my expectations and I'm hoping they find a way to come to the DFW area sooner than later! 1000000/10 - will forever recommend!! read more

Good luck getting your online order from this location. The staff consistently ignores the pickup area, leaving completed orders sitting out while they stay on their phones behind the counter. The online pickup line turns into a mess because no one bothers to monitor it or call out orders, especially during busy hours. It shouldn't take this much effort to retrieve a simple online order. read more

Cabo Bobs is delicious!! So grateful that they have a clearly marked vegan burrito on the menu (that you can turn into a bowl). Their tortillas and all ingredients are so fresh and flavorful. Burritos are huge and can probably be 2 meals for many. The line to order can vary greatly/unpredictably depending on how busy they are-heads up! read more

If you're looking for a burrito similar to what you find in Socal, come here. They have a good customizable menu (I recommend doing the curated menu first) plus a generous chips/guac/salsa/queso portions. All of it is delicious. I really enjoyed each time I've come here. That's the food review. Everything else? Read on. Plenty of seating for med to large groups (2-15). No reservations. Bathrooms are clean. Good drink selection. Pretty solid hot sauces. Cabo bobs is a favorite for me, but this location has let me down multiple times lately. I feel they might do better if they pause online orders during busy hours. Waited for almost 30 minutes to order at 2pm on a Tuesday, then mid way through the line they accidentally dumped my bowl trying to do too many things at once and had to start over. Rough experience to say the least. Really wish they had more locations read more

Does your life have a sort of burrito void that your local chipotle or freebirds just isn't filling? Well Cabo bobs is your spot, the cool, laidback burrito spot with delicious options such as their crispy fish paired with Baja beans and a mango pico that completes your burrito requirement in life. The go to option if this place is within your hour lunch break vicinity. Big staff behind the counter makes the line go fast, at times they can get behind it's not perfected yet, especially in This Anderson location. it's a tricky task getting so many fish and brisket tacos out the door to so many people that love it as much as I do. If you haven't tried it it's a must if your a local that wants some exciting quick lunch and if your from out of town check it out to see what your going to want to come back to. read more

Haven't been back in a long time. I like the tortilla flavor options, but always found the food to be lacking that punch of flavor you want when having a burrito or taco. The food is decent, and seems fresh, so I'd still eat it, just not sure it holds much water against the competition round these parts. read more

Initially, I was excited to try this restaurant, but my experience was very overwhelming. Upon walking into the restaurant, everything was clean and I followed the the ropes to get in line. I let a gentleman ahead of me and he was very helpful on letting me know what they served as far as burritos, tacos, bowls, salads, etc., but I had no help from any employee. It seemed to be a lot going on behind the counter, and every employee that I came across was very unhelpful. It was more like they were trying to rush me through the line instead of telling me about the product I asked one girl about the meats and she just basically said that she didn't know like she doesn't eat there or something. I don't know that should've been my first warning. I was very excited to see the tortilla guy. I thought that was very cool, but as this is a burrito place I got nachos and was very disappointed. The cheese is very runny like water. The meat was nonexistent. It really didn't have any flavor other than the spicy sauce that I asked for that was kind of sweet and I did not like that. I'm not saying that other locations might not be better than this location, but this location is a note for me very unhelpful. read more

Simply yum fantastic go9d food good value nice local spot for tacos salads burritos and bowls. Fish tacos are good..eh it's all good really

Some family members said to try this place out and I have to 1st state this is the 2nd time I have been to Cobo Bob's, I forgot to wrote a review the 1st time so I figure I get it out of the way now. 1st off Thank You, I love this style of food being served the way it is, fresh shells, you pick the items and they make it in front of you the way you like it, not some unknown disappointment from the back being brought out to you. That said, the shells were good, but I have stuffed my Taco's I guess and the big thing I warn you about it eat fast our by the time you get to the 2nd or 3rd Taco the bottom will fall out on you, I might ask for 2x shells next time since at this point you need a fork to eat it all. This time I picked 2 different meats, Chicken, steak and pork for each taco to see what was best, and I have to stick with Steak, even those my fav is a mixture of 50/50 steak and chicken. Over all pretty good, but again the chicken and pork was OK, steak was better, but I think the 1st time I got something the steak was chewy or something, I don't remember thus this review I am laying it out a head of time of what I got and so on. I would say, much better then a lot of places, but has room for improvement in the meat flavoring dept, otherwise prices are good and you will walk away happy. read more

Cabo Bob's is one of my local Austin favorites. High quality and a variety of ingredients to make good food. I personally think it's way better than Chipotle. You can get a variety of dishes from burrito bowls, burritos, salads, quesadillas, and nachos!!! The burritos are the size of a baby's head. Another great part about Cabo Bob's is they have a variety of tortillas: flour, smoky cheddar, ancho chili, and cilantro tomatillo. I'm fan of them all but smokey cheddar is probs my favorite. They also cook the tortillas fresh in front of you. All the ingredients are fresh and made on site. Their proteins are flavorful from the usuals chicken, steak, pork. They also have more unique ones like brisket and fried fish. I love the fried fish tacos or burritos. My go to order is a surf and turf burrito. Smoky cheddar tortilla, steak and fried fish loaded with all the veggies. Pro tip you can get half orders of certain proteins if you want a variety. Cabo Bob's does it well. Huge portions and quality ingredients. The line is long but the service is fast! Another great tip they have punch cards for you to get rewarded. read more

I'll first start by saying this was initially going to be a negative review. I ordered a brisket queso burrito through Google maps online order. I intended to order from the rio grande location since I work close by. I had a hard time finding the location for my order so I called the number on my receipt. From there I asked if they have my order. Initially I was told this location did not have my order. I then called the rio grande location and they didn't have it either. But since I was close by I figured I would go inside and check. The manager at the Rio grande location was an absolute jerk. He didn't offer to help and all and told me to go back in line and wait to place my order. I left frustrated and ready to never return to Cabo Bobs. Until I called this location and Melissa answered. She was so compassionate and understanding of my situation and helped me out and made sure my food was ready and I was taken care of. Kudos to the team at the Shoal Creek location and to Melissa for an exceptional job. I'll drive to this location out of my way now to pick up my food. I almost vowed to boycott this company and tell my colleagues and family to do the same. I'm shocked at how different the levels of customer service can be from one location to the next. Thank you Melissa you earned a lifelong customer. read more

Fresh. Consistent. Friendly. Good service. Good prices. Deluxe fish tacos, steak bowl, nachos. It's all good. We love Cabo Bobs.

Omg I LOVE a Cabo Bob burrito! They are DENSELY packed and the meat is really flavorful. The tortillas are really soft but they hold the food in well. They have a pretty good queso too that goes well with it. My program gets these burritos catered all the time so I've had a lot of them but never actually eaten at the restaurant (so couldn't comment on service etc). Nevertheless if I really needed something to eat, given I'm not much of a fast food person I would still go for Cabo Bob's in a pinch. read more

I came on a weekday for lunch and was surprised to see how many people were here! It must be located near offices. There was a line, but it moved fast. I asked for a fried fish burrito which is on their menu as a suggested item and delicious every time. The workers were moving so fast like a well oiled machine. Just as they scooped white rice on the tortilla I told them I wanted brown rice - so they threw away the tortilla and white rice I'm glad for the detail and honoring what I want, but I was a bit sad for unloved, warm tortilla and waste of food. Stopping by was a spur of the moment, treat myself decision and I did NOT regret doing it! My only suggestion is to ask for another cup of extra sauce! read more

I been coming to Cabo bobs for a while now. I come to this location and the one on 183. Very consistent food and very similar service. I prefer Cabo bobs over chipotle any given day. Chipotle is actually crap version of Cabo bobs. This is always been my go to lunch spot especially the one on shoal creek. Best part of cabins is that we have way more options than chipotle. Their fish burrito is fire. I usually get a chicken bowl with bunch of toppings along with a green tortilla. Interior of this place is very fast casual laid back. Line moves super quick and food is out quick. Good is super fresh and service is always top notch. No matter which location I go to, service is on point. Great place to grab good Mexican food with lots of options for salsa's and condiments. read more

I like a good Cabo Bob burrito. They don't go cheap on the fillings, so that's always a plus when you're spending an arm and a leg like everywhere else in capitalist hell. But, seriously, this place is good. Definitely pick this over Chipotle. read more

My GO TO for quick, easy, good, affordable meal. ALSO, if you are a 1st responder/uniform medical worker, they currently do 40% off! My favorite meat option is the fish, they make it so crispy and smooth at the same time. They also give you lots of food, so if I am good at portion control, I can make it 2 meals! The method to do it is asking for 2 flavors of tortillas, putting tortilla at the bottom of the bowl and stacking ingredients on top. YUM. read more

I love Cabo Bob's so much. Every time I'm back in Austin I always make sure to grab a meal here. I'm still obsessed with their fish bowl with the flavored tortillas on the sides. They are always so generous with the portions - they'll pack your box with all the veggies you want! You can also ask for sauces on the side instead of in your bowl - but I always do the double scoop on mango salsa and also the lime juice at the end for a healthier option. This is my all time favorite place to eat in Austin :) read more

I arrived at Cabo Bob's with my family and was amazed by the ambience and scenery. I have never been to Cabo Bob's before, as I am not a Texas resident. Everything on the menu looked absolutely exquisite. I decided to go with tacos so I could try the different flavored tortillas, as well as try three different meats. I was delighted by the staff and their friendliness and patience as I navigated through all of the scrumptious options. Each bite of food was a journey to heaven and back. I kid you not, I have never experienced something so exceptional, and for such a reasonable price. I may have to move to Austin so I can eat this deliciousness on a more regular basis. My life was forever changed in the best way after eating the tacos. I also left with a stunning Cabo Bob's tie dye t-shirt. I recommend this to everyone who eats. read more
