So when I had a friend mention Mago, I knew it was time to pop in. Situated in the massive shopping complex at Traverse Mountain (the one with Harmons) it's just a little pocket of outdoor vibe. The space is clean and flanked with racks on one side, and shelves on the other, with a few fixtures sprinkled in. I was here on an errand for someone, actually, so I came looking specifically for a long sleeve Patagonia shirt. They had plenty! They do feature a lot of Patagonia, Hippytree, Cotopaxi, and Naturebacks among others, including a few things with their own house brand. It's primarily clothing, and I didn't really look too much into the gear stuff. They had some nice sweatshirts, tees, and long tees. With those brands, you can imagine that they're not giving the stuff away. Long tees were anywhere from $25 to $50. That's about par for the course on the stuff, so not unreasonable so far as comparison shopping goes. I dig the vibe, I dig what they're into. It's a small store so you can pretty much peruse everything and see what they're about in one trip, but with changing inventory you have plenty of reason to come back again.

This store is awesome! It has a nice vibe and a great assortment of comfortable and useful clothing, gear, bags, etc for outdoor types. Definitely has the mountain vibe that compliments the nearby mountain ranges! One of the owners, Amber, was super friendly and helpful and I really loved the selection of clothing and accessories in the store. We will repair or replace any product we make with a manufacturing defect, free of charge." Service: A The store is great, with helpful employees. When I bought my jacket the zipper had some issues so they took back my jacket after examining it and sent a new one to my house. Price: A- You might spend $100 on a jacket, but you will be warm and comfortable for the entire Winter and the Winters to come. I have other jackets, but I always find myself wearing my GoLite 800 fill down jacket. These product are 100% worth the price, I'd say you are even getting a steal of a deal. I really wanted to like their face masks...bought two masks (carbon fiber and patriot) and they…read moredidn't match what is represented on their website. They put pleats in the side of the masks so they are smaller on the sides than shown on their website. They barely fit over my chin and jaw line. I sent them an email with photos and asked for masks without the side pleats...AS SHOWN ON THEIR WEBSITE, AND AS SHOWN IN THEIR VIDEO...so they will fit my face better. They DECLINED stating they can not make modifications to the face masks...which leads me to believe some else is making their masks. But they offered to refund my purchase if I ship the masks back, which I did, and I got my refund. What a waste of time and money (return shipping). I hate it when businesses misrepresent their products. I just think people should know before they purchase... if you have an average to small face structure then these face masks will probably be fine. But if you have a larger face structure, these masks won't fit properly (as shown on their website) unless the pleat is removed...which they won't. Good luck...

However, the impression the staff left me had changed my views on salesman and how my shopping experience can be different. I had a 5-star experience with Brett and I'm so glad he approached me.
