It got to be very entertaining to see what they would do instead of not helping me. To get our shoes we had to fill out what we needed on an iPad that was by the shoes. That was the only way we could get someone's attention. Once we found out what shoes we wanted we had to wait again at the desk because we needed to get the right replacements for the bottom of the shoes. The only way we got someone to help us was to fill out the iPad again that we needed another pair of shoes, but we said no we just need your help once the guy showed up. When we went to check out, we were found out we were given the wrong shoes and so we went and got the sample one so they could get us the right pair. The girl was totally bugged, but they got a pair that was $100 more. I'm going to notice that??? The cashier was very unfriendly, and was also bugged! We stepped back so she could help other customers while we waited. We could've just stood there, made the customers wait while we waited for my correct shoes-- but thought we'd be nice... she didn't smile, say thank you, etc... My boys have played baseball, football, lacrosse, and now golf, and we've always liked Dicks to get their gear. We will not be returning. I'm still amazed as I think about all the employees that walked past us that never once asked how they could help us. One guy had an earpiece in so it looked like he was maybe more in charge than the others and he actually walked past three times with no words said or eye contact! Pretty sad!!! I understand they work in different parts of the store, but they could've called someone to come and help us very easily! We are going to get shoes elsewhere and return the shoes in the morning. No more money will be spent here... and I have spent thousands at Dicks every year... So I guess I will be going back one more time. Sooo bugged!!!

They stock many treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, ab rollers, exercise bikes, and lots more. We talked to the owner, Jon, while we were there and he was very helpful. We stopped by Utah Home Fitness to rent ElliptiGOs actually, a sort of bicycle meets elliptical machine invention. We rent them for four hours through a Groupon and actually had a lot of fun riding them. It was a little difficult to get used to at first, but after awhile the ElliptiGOs were great fun. If you haven't seen one in action, Google it. If you need equipment for your home gym, Utah Home Fitness seems like the place to go. I was impressed. Support local business.

The Manager of the store is Marcial. I went in the store thinking they would say, "too bad." I was pleasantly surprised when Marcial said he would exchange the gun for a new one!! Imagine my surprise. I took the gun back about 5 months after I purchased it. My grandson got a new gun and we were so excited!! The experience was wonderful. Last week I went to the store to find a pair of snow boots for my granddaughter that was on clearance. The gentleman helping me could not find the boots. Marcial went with the young man and another young lady and looked for the boots. Marcial came back with a different brand but basically the same boot I wanted for $2.00 cheaper. I told Marcial his customer service if fantastic. I will ALWAYS go to Clinton Big 5 for my sporting needs. The problem with the shoe department in all big 5's is... if you want to try on any shoes/boots that are displayed against the wall, you have to have a salesman go into the back, bring the shoes/boots out for you to try on. This is a pain to have the salesperson keep going in the back for one style or size or another. However, today there wasn't anyone in the shoe department to help, all sales associates were hanging up front socializing with one another. I just left without having to bother asking someone to come and help me.

I was a bit surprised today when I was presented with the front doors of the store requiring masks. When I entered the store, there were three store workers at the checkout stand, none of which were wearing masks. I retrieved my product at the back of the store with the help of yet another store employee who WAS wearing his mask. I probably passed about five customers in the store, none of whom were wearing masks at all. So clearly the sign on the front of the store is not slightly enforced. PLEASE at a time when COVID infection rates are at their highest and ICU departments in hospitals are busting at the seams, please commit to do your part. Today was the day where the medical officer of the Utah State Department of Health expressed extreme frustration in peoples unwillingness to own some of this responsibility. I have already known several who have passed away and know at least a dozen or more who have had the virus. Cal-Ranch, please take my health and your health more seriously.
