My experience with the gunsmith was absolute crap. I dropped off my shotgun to be repaired. The problem was explained to them that the gun was not ejecting shells (high and low brass). I was told it would be about three weeks before I would have it back. Being that I am understanding that gunsmiths are hard to come bye, I returned one month later and was told the gunsmith had not had a chance to look at it. The gunsmith told me that he "glanced" at it and would need to test fire it to see what was happening. Thirty plus days later, I was told the gunsmith test fired it and it would not eject the shells. Hum....I am positive I told him that 60 + days earlier. I decided to take my shotgun home and was charged $42.90 for the "shop charge". I am sorry to say that I will not be supporting that business nor recommending them to anyone. read more

I need to reflect my poor service in the gunsmith side of the store. I took my 9mm AR to have them check why a certain type of ammo was not cycling well. They told me it would be a week until they get back with me. After several calls and three weeks later I finally picked up the rifle and they said the ammo didn't cycle...which I already knew, and they charged me $42 for the shop charge. I asked them if the poor cycling was due to incorrect COL on the ammo...their reply was..."it could be". -Poor service -three weeks late -no answers to my original reason I dropped off the gun -they still charged me for nothing completed Will not recommend or go back. read more

Firearmspro has many great reviews, i'm sure if you go in there to buy some ammo or some guns they are great. Talking to the owner Brian, and an employee Steven, they seem very nice and knowledgeable. I took a gun in to get some work done, nothing major but some work. I told Steven that I wasn't in a hurry and to take his time. I gave $300 dollars for a deposit and I left my gun. A year later I called and Steven didn't remember me but was sure that the gun would be done soon. Another year passes.... this is two years now and Steven is part time so I started talking to Brian. Brian tells me of problems finding someone to bend my bolt. I let him know that I would like to pay for the work done and get my gun back to get it to someone that actually cares. I told him that I would like my $300 deposit taken into account. Partially my fault because I was never given a receipt he claims I never gave him a deposit. Right now it's been 3 years, I have no gun, no money, not even an apology for jerking me around for 3 years. 3 years is too long. They blame it on the bolt but no other parts that I wanted them to put on are on. This was my experience i'm still trying to get my gun and I realize i'm out there $300 that I already paid because I didn't get a receipt (lessons learned) I hope to get my gun and i'm taking it to High Energy Arms in Woods Cross because I know that they do the work in house and don't send it all over. read more

They agreed to put a green dot on a Laser Ammo recoil simulator. They ordered an $80 dovetail for that, but decided they could not do it. Charged me a restocking fee for the dovetail and for labor time. They kept my $40 deposit plus $15 more and said we were even. read more

I took a rifle and a shotgun in to have them disassembled and cleaned. Brian kept saying "We'll have it done next month." After 4 months, I went in to check on their status, and they were still sitting behind his counter - untouched. This might be a good place to buy things, but if you need service, stay away. I read this review and I have to say I believe Zach's experience definitely is not how this shop runs day to day. I moved up to the northern part of the state a few months ago. Ive been into the shop twice, called and asked questions 3-4 times and they have ALWAYS been very helpful. The owners wife offered to extend a sell for me since they didn't have my size jacket in stock. PFI Dude spent 30 minutes to explain in detail the differences between silencers and why one was worth my business when l was looking to buy my first silencer. He helped me go through the process since I was new. Overall, Ive never found a shop more willing to help customers. Brian does excellent work. All of his employees are extremely knowledgable. If the don't have something in stock they will get it for you as soon as possible. I've had over 100 interactions with this shop and I've never had a problem. Another reviewer said that he waited a year and a half for something? You're clearly a moron and or full of shit. They seem friendly and willing to help. However I would not expect them to follow up with you or return your calls. I dropped of a revolver there as I was having issues. I left them alone for a few months then started trying to follow up. I left half a dozen voice mails, got lucky and someone picked up. He said he was just helping the owner out but would follow up (which he did). He told me they had dropped the ball and the last 4-5 months nothing had been done. I was also told Taurus might require they send it in which I was fine with. I gave them a few more months and started leaving voicemails again. No response. I finally got luck and got hold of the owner. After 9-10 months I just wanted my property back so I asked him if my revolver was there so I could pick it. His response "where else would it be". Done, fine. I went and picked it up. I have since tried to contact Taurus without success and I'm sure they were having the same issues as I was. Stopped in while passing through. Spend $85 for a decent rifle bag, which I thought was a pretty good price. Staff, including PFI dude, were super friendly and helpful while at the same time not being pushy. Great selection for a small shop and overall prices looked good. I'd much rather go to this type of shop over a big box outdoor store. They also had Green Mountain pellet grills and an assortment of seasonings which I thought was pretty cool since I like grilling. Quoted one price on the phone and the actual ticket was $55.00 over the quote. Shelby, when asked about to difference from the quote stated "Oh, sorry bout that". They also make you fill out some Utah BCI form that they say is by law. I've purchased guns in many stores in Utah and locally in Davis Country. Not one of them has the customer fill out information that is a duplicate to the Form 4473. I've asked three other stores in the area and none of them even heard of this "phantom" form that Firearms-Pro forces customers to complete. I have purchased two handguns now from them, the first one I didn't do the additional form because Brian sold me the piece. Shelby, his wife is the one who sprung this new form on me during the second purchase and thereby making it my final purchase. read more

I've been doing business with this store for over 4 years. The folks there have ALWAYS been helpful, honest, friendly and the prices are reasonable and affordable. I've purchased firearms, accessories, clothing and ammo from them and, again, ALWAYS at reasonable prices. I've also bought firearms from other places and had them shipped to this FFL with no issues. Prompt notification of delivery and painless transfer. This store beats all of the other local "gun shops" hands down. This review bums me out. I was really looking for a quality store with good contact for quality purchases, technical and general advice. I am still on the look as there service to me was less than expected. I had a significant purchase from this company and the product arrived at my ffc in fair condition. It was missing some of the accessories promised. I wasn't too worried as they were nice to work with on the front end, however, to my dismay It ended there.. I made four separate contacts to them, but they never got back with me. They were pretty eager on the front end, but their follow up was horrible. It is a misstep in that I was really looking forward to creating a long term relationship which on the front end looked like a ligitimate company. I have contacted some other companies like theirs in the area that seem a little more upfront. I didn't want to burn them with a single star, but taking effort to write this reflects my disappointment. I hate negative crap, but this company could do much better. Sorry armspro.... read more
