It got to be very entertaining to see what they would do instead of not helping me. To get our shoes we had to fill out what we needed on an iPad that was by the shoes. That was the only way we could get someone's attention. Once we found out what shoes we wanted we had to wait again at the desk because we needed to get the right replacements for the bottom of the shoes. The only way we got someone to help us was to fill out the iPad again that we needed another pair of shoes, but we said no we just need your help once the guy showed up. When we went to check out, we were found out we were given the wrong shoes and so we went and got the sample one so they could get us the right pair. The girl was totally bugged, but they got a pair that was $100 more. I'm going to notice that??? The cashier was very unfriendly, and was also bugged! We stepped back so she could help other customers while we waited. We could've just stood there, made the customers wait while we waited for my correct shoes-- but thought we'd be nice... she didn't smile, say thank you, etc... My boys have played baseball, football, lacrosse, and now golf, and we've always liked Dicks to get their gear. We will not be returning. I'm still amazed as I think about all the employees that walked past us that never once asked how they could help us. One guy had an earpiece in so it looked like he was maybe more in charge than the others and he actually walked past three times with no words said or eye contact! Pretty sad!!! I understand they work in different parts of the store, but they could've called someone to come and help us very easily! We are going to get shoes elsewhere and return the shoes in the morning. No more money will be spent here... and I have spent thousands at Dicks every year... So I guess I will be going back one more time. Sooo bugged!!!

The Manager of the store is Marcial. I went in the store thinking they would say, "too bad." I was pleasantly surprised when Marcial said he would exchange the gun for a new one!! Imagine my surprise. I took the gun back about 5 months after I purchased it. My grandson got a new gun and we were so excited!! The experience was wonderful. Last week I went to the store to find a pair of snow boots for my granddaughter that was on clearance. The gentleman helping me could not find the boots. Marcial went with the young man and another young lady and looked for the boots. Marcial came back with a different brand but basically the same boot I wanted for $2.00 cheaper. I told Marcial his customer service if fantastic. I will ALWAYS go to Clinton Big 5 for my sporting needs. The 2 back panel walls are the exact same as the side walls, the side walls all have a notch cut out at the center top of each panel, since the panels are all the same YOU WILL END UP WITH 2 HOLES IN THE BACK TWO PANELS at the top of each one, thus you have 2 holes already designed into the shed, why? You have to tape over these holes, and now it looks like crap, and these holes will have to be addressed over the "Lifetime" of this poorly designed shed. When I got the shed, it had 2 damaged pieces, I called, they sent out the 2 pieces, one was completely wrong that belonged to a completely diffident shed, yes, I gave the model and product ID code correctly, thus whoever pulled the reorder was wrong. As the shed was already started, I just used the dented roof panel on the backside. For the price, its a horrible and damaged shed that should be resigned from the bottom up. Seriously, think about other companies. Warning.

They define themselves (on Facebook) as a store fashions for "Running, Hiking, Climbing, or simply the active fit style." Usually an outdoors store hits you with flannel and denim and sleeping bags. Not svelte mannequins with skin-tight jeans, trucker hats, and leopard prints. It's strange ... Active Republic looks like a worldwide fashion chain born out of NYC or Paris, but it in fact is a small company with a very quiet internet presence (they only sell their footwear online). They have the mission of "living free from barriers and limitations ... the ability to transcend from a state of class and professionalism directly into and active lifestyle, full of uninhibited adventure and exploration". I feel like they are selling an idea ... an idea not fully realized yet. Their prices are a bit high (which is both a barrier and a limitation) and the sizes are skewed heavily towards the skinny (ditto). And what's with the pop-culture socks and baseball caps? I think they're cool, they definitely transcend barriers, but my toes would be frostbitten if I tried to climb a mountain in 'em! Some cool stuff ... it will be interesting to see how they develop.

I was a bit surprised today when I was presented with the front doors of the store requiring masks. When I entered the store, there were three store workers at the checkout stand, none of which were wearing masks. I retrieved my product at the back of the store with the help of yet another store employee who WAS wearing his mask. I probably passed about five customers in the store, none of whom were wearing masks at all. So clearly the sign on the front of the store is not slightly enforced. PLEASE at a time when COVID infection rates are at their highest and ICU departments in hospitals are busting at the seams, please commit to do your part. Today was the day where the medical officer of the Utah State Department of Health expressed extreme frustration in peoples unwillingness to own some of this responsibility. I have already known several who have passed away and know at least a dozen or more who have had the virus. Cal-Ranch, please take my health and your health more seriously. Please be respectful of your own loved ones and your customers.
