The staff was very friendly and helpful. Catching the keepers in the main ponds was not much of a fishing challenge, but still fun. They clean the fish for you right on the spot and we came home with a couple of meals for all of us. You could easily catch as many as you want, but for price consideration we stopped at 3 a peice. We brought a fly rod and the three of us shared time fishing the trophy pond, that is catch and release. That was also super fun and more of challenge than the keeper ponds. After fishing we walked around the grounds for a bit which was also nice. I highly recommend a visit.

The prices for rentals are totally reasonable and they hoisted the heavy tandem kayak we rented up on top of my very tall vehicle and ratcheted it down. Rental included life vests and paddles. One of the highlights was the brief instructional on attaching the beast to my roof rack, and I am happy to say that I finally understand how to thread ratcheting tie downs. Make a volcano, then rappel down into the volcano. We had a great day on the reservoir and these guys made it easy peasy. I'll be back in a few weeks for a paddle board.

Last year I purchased an inflatable two man boat, the Dragonfly from Dave Scadden Paddle Sports…read more After I purchased the boat I asked Mr. Scadden what the warranty is on the boat. He said "lifetime warranty." I replied back "lifetime" and he said "yes, even if it flies out of the back off your pickup and the vehicle behind you runs over it." I thought, who would be so stupid as to not tie down the boat so it couldn't fly out of your truck or utility trailer. Last week on our way up to Rockport reservoir on I-84, a motor home in the lift lane started to come into our lane. We had to move over on to the emergency lane and ran over rumble strips. The bouncing of the rumble strips caused one of the hook anchors on the outside of my utility trailer to fatigue and brake off. This only left one strap holding the boat and after a mile or so the other tie down broke also. In the mirror we could see the boat come off the trailer and bounce down the freeway and then rest in the emergency lane, thankful it did not come to rest on the freeway lanes. The boat was a little scuffed up but the metal frame was bent in several places and cracked also. Called Dave and told him how embarrassed I was to tell him my boat came out of my trailer. He laughed and said "bring the frame down and he would fix me up. He said he gets four to five calls a year on this happening. Dave graciously took the damaged frame parts and exchanged them for new ones. I want to say here Dave Scadden Paddle Sports is a man of his word. I was afraid he was pulling my leg on the warranty part about it coming out of your vehicle. DSPS products are top notch, high quality products, will stand up to tough use, even coming out of your vehicle by accident going down the road. I purchased a dragon fly 3 person fishing raft from Dave scadden…read more It was a package except you don't get a spare oar So we payed a extra 500 for one oar. This boat is flat and absolutely has no rocker. It's frame is a three piece and literally moves when rowing or in any amount of currents. We snapped a oar in slow water back rowing . This boat is advertised as class 5 ready. Don't waste your money. We upgraded the oars to sawer oars. 1200 dollars later. waited months to receive the extra seat and all the other accessories we didn't get in the original order. The materials are super thin we experienced two holes in less than ten trips. Dave did eventually get a refund on the oar put it took two months and we had to eat the shipping costs. Along with a lecture about how good the oars are. Buyers beware!!
