Unfortunately, the experience only got worse. The representative I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful, and when I asked to speak with a manager, the attitude was no better. At no point did anyone seem interested in actually helping or even listening. What disappointed me most wasn't the charge itself, it was the complete lack of customer care afterward. I understand large companies may not feel the impact of losing a single customer, but we still have the right to choose where we spend our money, and we won't continue supporting a company that treats customers this way. Still, we all pictured ourselves gracefully whipping the line like Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It. The Guided Fishing trip (two per guide), four hours on the Provo River, is the way to go. They provide everything, waders, boots, rods and in no time had my 11-year-old granddaughter and 10-year-old grandson casting like a pro. Okay, I am a proud Pop-Pop. Soon everyone wasn't thinking about technique anymore, just bragging rights: who'd catch the most, who'd catch the biggest. Everyone, (okay, 6 out of 8) landed a brown trout, and my 15-year-old granddaughter, my son, and my daughter-in-law are still arguing over whose was the biggest. You all be the judge, I'll just note that I caught the first fish. Our Fishwest guides -- Max, Tom, James, and Nate were outstanding: knowledgeable, patient, and great teachers. It is worth every penny. We started as beginners, and by the end, they introduced us to the joy of fly fishing. They gave my family a memory we'll be talking about for years. Just one more cast.
