I bought some shoes from them online because they had the best price for what I was looking for. Did some research and was torn because, as mentioned, the reviews seem to be that people had a great experience with Al's or a really bad one. YMMV, but all I can say is mine was great. Had a question about shipping and their customer support got back to me the next business day. Decided to roll the dice and honestly, glad I did. Item shipped to Hawaii really fast (4 days). (Because of the reviews) Checked the shoes, checked my credit card-- everything was good!

It was a much more thorough process than I expected. He had previously seen me shoot and suspected I was using bad form to compensate for a bow that was set up too short. He started by measuring my draw length, and then did what no one else had done and actually taught me how to shoot! He wasn't forceful about but started with a "try this" approach. At one point, I spent 20 minutes doing a drill with a string and my release and no bow in hand. I've received a few off-hand pointers and offers to be coached over the years, but he just calmly walked me through the process... apparently I needed that! Lance made me a customer for life!! P.S. I bought a new bow and combined with a new shooting process, I'm drilling the center!

Drop me in the middle of it, I will guess about a dozen different stores. While less of a problem at Hibbett, it also lacks a strong identity of its own -- and separate from other sports stores. They have plenty of Nikes (especially Air Jordans), Converse, Under Armour, and the rest. The prices are just average, nothing that would influence a purchase over just getting it on Amazon. Hibbett has been around since 1945, has about 1,000 locations, and targets markets like Logan ... mid-range towns, a little rural ... they depend on the person who wants to look, try on, and touch the athletic gear they buy. Believe me, I tried for weeks. I found it on CampSaver and promptly ordered. I received an email a few days later that the hat has been discontinued so the order will not be completed, along with their sincere apologies and asked me to contact them to discuss. I contacted them immediately and the woman I spoke with was very courteous and refunded my order at once. I was a bit nervous after reading the reviews, but they took care of me. It would have been nice to know they didn't have it in stock prior to ordering, but I understand business so I was happy the rectified the situation in a professional manner. A LOT of companies do that so I usually call prior to ordering to make sure the product is on site, but it was late and I didn't want to take the chance of missing out on it. My 2nd order was for a Fjallraven parka and to say I'm happy how smoothly the transaction went is an understatement. The shipped the parka the very next day, I followed its progress online, and received it this afternoon (5 day process). It's a killer parka at a killer price. Prior to ordering though, I did call to make sure the jacket was on-site and they weren't the middle man of this transaction, which they confirmed. No issues with me!

Wow- where is the logic there?? And, to make matters worse, the customer service guy copped a bit of an attitude with me over their mistake.
