I am an intermediate/lower advanced skier and equipment makes a big difference in my experience. The staff at Alpine Sports spent the time to discuss my capabilities and preferences with me, along with with the expected conditions (i.e. some days fresh snow, some days cold hard pack), and then did a great job of matching me up. (I ended up with Rossignol Soul 7's that I had been very interested in trying). Before selecting Alpine Sports I had done some online price comparisons of ski area rental shops and several other local places, and Alpine Sports was the best value. That includes their price for a daily damage waiver, which I like to get for convenience but which some places charge surprisingly high amounts. I will definitely rent there again when skiing the North Ogden ski areas.

I went in to look at boots and asked about a pro discount - the older man did not know. He proceeded to continue talking to another man, skipped me over to help a woman about socks then skipped me over AGAIN to help a "walk-in". I went to ask if there was another person help me and he walked over and said it's by appnt only!!! Meanwhile he helped two other "walk-ins" after my turn. Done - there are plenty of amazing options in Utah. They just LOST a great customer that has spent a lot of money at Gorsuch.

The frame is very thin and shakes a lot. The net that we paid extra for is absolute garbage! The U-bolts that hold the net poles on are tiny and snap easily. Had to buy stronger u bolts. The net itself is generic and needs to be trimmed to size and woven on by hand with rope. There isn't a zipper or any kind of door, just the overlapping net. Will not be back to Pitchers.

Today I was restringing the net to make it tighter and noticed that the bumpers that go on the poles were flaking all over the trampoline and basically disintegrating after a year of use. Hadn't noticed before now because my daughter doesn't use the tramp much anymore. When I called to let them know that the bumpers were falling apart after only a year, they told me they are only meant to last a max of 2 years. Again, I told him it had been a year and the last ones we bought with the original trampoline lasted ten years with no flaking or disintegrating. The guy I talked to seemed put out that I was letting him know that the bumpers were falling apart. He tried to tell me that the little holes/pits were from abuse and that extreme temps were the cause of the flaking even though their other bumpers lasted over 10 years. Disappointed. Won't be going back.
