I've had positive experiences at Joyride Bicycles in the past, and one thing they do better than other shops in the area is stocking quality bike apparel. That's actually why I stopped in during their winter sale to grab some new socks. On top of the sock rack, there was a sign that clearly said "socks 50% off" with no fine print or conditions. But when I got to the counter, the employee told me the socks weren't part of the sale. I pointed out the sign, and instead of acknowledging the issue or offering any kind of apology, he just dismissed it and didn't seem to care at all. It felt unprofessional and honestly pretty disrespectful. I ended up pity-buying one pair instead of the two I planned on, but I'm now planning to return them. I left the store feeling misled and frustrated. If you're going in hoping for a sale, don't trust the signs without double, or triple-checking. This really should be a one-star review, but I'm giving it two stars only because of my previously good experiences here. read more

Joyride Bikes is an absolute joke. Charged my credit card for an e-bike, generated a shipping label, then gave multiple excuses over an extended period for why they didn't actually ship the bike. They eventually stopped responding altogether to messages and, after a solid three weeks, with no apology, no explanation, nor an offer for an alternative solution (such as shipping a different bike), my order was cancelled and I was notified by a generic email. We arrived in Logan, two days before LOTOJA 2020. Having a damaged bike on a previous trip from TSA, the first thing my husband did was put the bike together and make sure it was operating as it should. As luck would have it, gears were not shifting and the front wheel was rubbing. Bad news, until I spent some time on Yelp looking at bike shops and we decided to drop into Joyride. JR was on it and within the hour he called us with answers and solutions. An hour after that, the bike was fixed and he also identified some other areas in need of service and was ready for my husband to ride his first LOTOJA. And what an experience it was for us, especially my husband and his team. Podium sweep for their team after grueling hard work for 70ish miles to bring back the three break away leaders and then it was all them the last 20 miles. I bought a bike second hand and took it in to Joy Ride. I was told it would cost $70 for a tune up and new tubes. When I picked the bike up, the charge was $95. I would have appreciated a call asking me if I wanted to spend the extra money or a closer estimate. I don't mind paying more, but I really don't like surprises. Other than that, the bike runs well now. The whole experience didn't leave me with a good feeling about Joy Ride and I think I will pick a different bike shop next time. read more

I purchased my first bike here (for school) and had a fantastic experience. But I will say that the better experience came when I brought my bike in after I got a flat after months after. Yelp services said they were open until 6PM, but their hours had changed for the winter and they close at 5PM. I arrived at 4:58PM and said that I will come back another day. The employee (Mike) told me it was no problem at all and to bring my bike in to repair the flat. I didn't feel rushed at all and he did a few extra things (kickstand, answered bike questions, etc.) for me. I was very impressed with the level of customer service. As I was leaving, another family came in with bike troubles. I was expecting Mike to let them know they were closed, but he didn't. He told them to "Come on in! Let's get you fixed!" That's going above and beyond. I recommend purchasing your bike from here, along with accessories (great at answering bike-related questions). read more

Nice little shop with a decent inventory. My friend and I both found amazing deals on leftover year model bikes. They were also flexible on a layaway plan for my bike purchase. Unfortunately I don't usually see the same people working in here, not sure if it's turnover or all part timers. This has caused some service issues for me but nothing huge. read more

I just had a very disappointing experience with JoyRide. They've been good to work with in the past, and I had my rear tire wear out (tubeless). Went in Friday to get a new tire and sealant, but my bike is 2008 (26") rim, so they didn't have much in stock. They showed me a Kenda MBT that would work and said they could get it in a week. So I left my bike. Come Monday morning, I get a call saying they won't mount and seal the tire because I have a bike that's "against policy." I've been coming here for service for a couple of years, and all of the sudden they said because my bike is an E-bike they won't service it. I went to get the bike and they suggested that it's because there's a throttle control that usually means low quality. Given that mine's an Optibike with top of the line components, a linear bottom bracket motor and battery (just like a top of the line Pedalec), it feels personal. That feeling when you go to your trusty LBS and they say they won't work on your bike "because of policy." I guess it's my mistake I didn't take the rear wheel off and have my wife deliver it for the tire replacement and sealant. They wouldn't have been the wiser. They've lost my business and personal recommendations permanently. It's a shame, because there are only a few other LBS in town (might I recommend Wimmers, Sunrise, Sportsman) read more

(see webpage above) When I complained about the service and brought this to the owner, Jeff Bruce's attention, asking for a small portion of the money I spent to be returned ($100), the owner threatened legal action against me and sent me a cease and desist in the mail. Yelp deleted this review in August 2018, probably because the owner asked them to delete the review. Instead of fixing the legion of problems with their bike store, Jeff Bruce attacks their once loyal customers with legal threats and action. read more

Brought in a mountain bike that was 15 years old with an antiquated front fork / shock, hoping to get it repaired. The owner asked me a few questions about my needs and budget and recommended replacing the fork with a modern fork that would cost about the same as attempting to fix the old one, but would give better results. I was stopping through town and when the part arrived a few days later they stayed late to fix it up so I could head down to Moab. the work has held up great over the last few weeks of riding, and the price was within my budget.
