Well the excellent customer service did not stop there! We actually arrived around 12:15. Our mechanic, Dave, came right out to take a look at our rig! All and all it took less than an hour and he had us back on the road! He was so friendly and flexible as we asked if he had time to look at a slide out problem as well. He happily did! They told us we needed to replace the ignition coil and spark plugs and that would solve the problem. After charging almost $900 the code came back in less than a month. We took our car back in and they told us they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and to come pick it up. We asked for a list of tests they ran and the results. We got a small list but no results. A simple search from chat gpt told us what the problem could be and easy tests that could be run to confirm it. Two other mechanics confirmed that they could have run a simple test to confirm the head gasket was bad as well. Now we get to pay another mechanic to diagnose it and replace the head gasket after already wasting $900 with carsmart.
