GETTING HERE: I was a passenger and am a bit directionally-challenged, but Yelp has the address correct and you can navigate there correctly. I have a vague recollection it's near the freeway and it has a very large footprint! REVIEW: My friend says, "Let's go to Scheels before I take you to the airport!" Of course, I agreed whole-heartedly. And also, what is the magic of this place and why was this my first time! This place is amazing! If I didn't have to catch my flight, I probably would still be here exploring the wonder that is Scheels. You've got to check out the huge Ferris wheel, too! Service at check-out was OK. I ended up buying a Stanley and some stickers because stickers. :) I literally think they have an option or items for every, single, person. Period full stop. Cannnnnnnnnnnnot wait to go to another Scheels. You've got to check them out.

Great selection from everything from children's clothes to sporting goods from Lego's to firearms and everything in between. A bit on the pricey side but well worth to get all your shopping done in one trip! Try the beef jerky in the cafeteria!

Scheels is one of those stores that has a little bit for everyone. Fashionista? There's a section for you. Camper? Yep. Just a kid wanting a candy store? No problem. Home goods, camping/fishing/hunting gear, shoes, Hair products and jewelry, sporting apparel, they even have a deli in the back where you can get lunch. This location in particular had some unique photo opportunities specific to Utah including arches, and rock climbing photo booths. Every department seemed to be well kept and clean, and our interactions with staff were pleasant. If you haven't been in a Scheels before, I highly recommend stopping in next time you get the opportunity!

I love this store. They have everything that you would ever need in a sporting goods store.

Scheels is expensive but it's a great place to see all the best stuff! The Ferris wheel is super fun and only $1 per rider. Scheels has a great selection of items for every sport and things for a soccer mom too! All the big outdoorsy brands are there along with toys, legos and shoes! Fun thing for the whole family.

This store has something for everyone of all ages! There is a ferris wheel in the center of the store, an arcade, batting cage, golf, basketball, trampoline, fish tank, cafe, clothing, hunting gear, fishing gear, camping gear, swim wear, exercise machines, bikes, shoes, and so much more!! If it's your first time visiting the store, tell the cashier and you will receive a free baseball cap.

Very cool version of a dick's sporting goods! It had a mix of everything sports related to hunting s equipment. Also, some entertainment. * a Ferris wheel * a few arcade games upstairs * Lego and toys area * mini bowling area * practice shoot game There was a nice variety of all sports equipment and apparel. I found the fake animals replica very very cool. Especially their life size bear (not pictured).

Pro Tip: take your kids for ice cream and to ride the Ferris wheel and they'll act like you took them to Disney land for under $20.

Great selection and people who know the product. The people in the shoe department really know their business.

What happened to the Victoria's Secret experience?…read more Years ago, it felt special. Associates greeted you with a smile, measured you with care, and walked you through the fitting process like a trusted friend. It was personal, empowering and almost like a rite of passage. I walked into an empty store and was completely ignored. No "hello," no offer to help, no fitting support. Just silence. When I asked for a fitting room, it was unlocked without a word. Checkout felt robotic. It used to feel meaningful. Now it feels hollow. Victoria's Secret, we miss the heart you used to have. Please bring the magic back.

If you're a Victoria's Secret model, or even just a 'normally' shaped woman, you could pick stuff off of the shelf. But for me, I need someone to see what will and won't work, to take a look at it when I have it on and tell me how it looks, etc, Unfortunately, department stores don't have that kind of service. I search for other lingerie shops, and most of them are porn shops with adult toys. So I figured I would give Victoria's Secret a try, even though I've been disappointed in the past. I called the one at the shops at Southtown, in Sandy Utah. I spoke to a nice woman named Callie, who said anyone in the store would be totally comfortable with an LGBTQ person, but she would be glad to help me. She would be in until four. This was about 10:30 in the morning. So I went to the store around two. As usual, none of the clerks, give me a second glance, in fact they ignore me. When I asked for Callie at the register, I found out that she supposedly called in sick today. Really! Then how had she answered the phone this morning? But the girl at the register said the same thing, that any of the girls would be happy to help me. She said she would be glad to, but she was assigned the restaurant the time. So she called the store manager. The store manager, who had looked right past me when I walked in. Who is a short, obis, not very attractive person, physically, or personality wise. Nonetheless, I thought I'd give her a chance. She showed me one item, shoved me in a fitting room, and close the door on me, and disappeared. The item wasn't even close to what I needed, so I left it in the fitting room and took off. She was nowhere to be found. I will never frequent Victoria's Secret again, and I recommend you make the same commitment. I will pay premium prices for good quality service, and good products. Neither is available here.

It's also possible we no longer have the same numbers of people who actually backpack, and do backcountry activities, and want quality gear. I don't know. I've been coming here for 30+ years. I've spent many thousands of dollars. I don't go much anymore, so the dramatic decline in stock threw me off. For me, it's because I bought the kind of gear in my 20's and 30's that will last forever, and I'm in my 60's now. I have a reason not to do so much backpacking. In the day, the aisles were narrow and the place was filled to overflowing with everything. They had the regular brands, but they had nearly every one of the esoteric, specialty brands too. Today, outside of North Face, nothing in quality sleeping bags. It looks like a place heading out of business. I was there to look for shirts. In the day, they had as much nice outdoor styled clothing as you find total clothing in the big box store. There just wasn't much to choose from today. Walking around you could see the empty walls that held shoes, boots, and similar. I'm so sad. I assume there will always be a market for the car camping gear that Springbar tent owners are going to need. The Springbar tents are great. I don't own one, although I bought both my backpacking and car camping tents there.

First of all, they employ people who are passionate about the outdoors and who, generally speaking, know what they are talking about. There's no push for corporate outdoorsness--I've often felt like I was chatting with a buddy when talking things over with their staff. Second, I like the location. Just off of State Street near the 33rd South exit of I-15. Nice. Third, they carry some quality stuff. The lightweight, high-quality, not El Cheapo stuff is their specialty, and they do it well. Lots of it is set up or out for display so you can get a good look at what you're after. The biggest reason I'm a fan is those Springbar tents. If you're not familiar, a Springbar tent is the greatest family/Scout troop/group tent known to man. They're immortal. They're super easy to set up. They weigh about a half a ton, but they're a tent you buy and pass down to your kids. For real. A few other bonus features: they have a decent selection of climbing gear, they have a tent repair area, they have random tent material (seam sealer, no-see-um mesh, tent stakes, etc.) and a nice book and map selection. Also, I dig the dog hiking gear and the clothing sections.

The level of service has dropped off considerably and customer service and business practices at this location are now shady at best. Manager engages in bait and switch practices and sales associates are either new, incompetent or shady as well. I went in last week to purchase a belt and specifically inquired about black Friday deals on custom suits. The sales rep told me they would be 30% off for black Friday and that sale would start on Wednesday the night before thanksgiving. I go into the store on black Friday. I confirmed with the sales associate that the suits were 30% off and proceeded to take measurements and get fitted for four suits. When I go to check out the discount is not present. Sales associate checked with manager and he said there was no sale on the custom suits. I told him I had specifically confirmed the sale on custom suits with two different sales associates on two separate days. Dude could care less and told me to go pound sand in his polite manager way.
