No idea where to go... at each entrance there are service stations where you may purchase your items or ask questions. I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

I love Scheels. I like how they are organized that somehow makes shopping comfortable. The layout…read moreof the store is great, from clothing to camping to the cafe to hunting to toys. There is a great selection and variety. I mostly go for the toys. There is a specific toy that I seek and this is the place to find them. While their toy department is not huge and is just a relatively smaller department within the store, what they do have is quality stuff, things that people actually seek out. Lego sets, RCs, educational children's toys, games, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent selection of disc golf discs. They even had some of one of my favorite brands, Kastaplast! Either Kastaplast is finally getting some mainstream recognition or Scheels has a good sporting goods manager. Speaking of which, Ashton is a great guy and truly thinks of the customer first and the customer's experience. There were even Zuca disc golf carts there. And they were all on sale. Another aspect to love about Scheels are the things you can do there like mini bowling, shooting arcade, and the Ferris wheel. You can have a date there for cheap! And then go to the cafe for a meal or treats. BTW, the jerky they sell there is excellent! All the employees there are very helpful. In some small ways, Scheels is better than Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse. In this competitive market, small ways is what stands you apart. I really like those other stores, too, but Scheels just feels different. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Most of the time their shelves are stocked and if they carry that item it should be there at the store, which is nice. Oh, sure, there are plenty of sports gear stores around these parts. Even just in this mall (South Town) you'll find Pro Image, Fanzz, and the huge department store sections filled with NFL, NBA, MLB, college football and college basketball gear. But what if you are from another country ... or just like to partake in watching fútbol ... instead of football? Well, the soccer ball on the Castro Sports sign lets you know that you've come to the right place. Barca, Chivas, Real Madrid, and many in the English Premier League, Liga MX, Bundesliga, Mexican soccer, the local MLS team Real Salt Lake, and many teams can be found in their voluminous collection of jerseys. They also have socks, hats, and other accessories from your favorite club. And, while I'm no expert, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to find such strong collections of soccer shoes, balls, and kits most anywhere in the Valley (except, maybe, in the RSL locker room!). This is the good type of Castro Revolution ... a revolution against predictable sporting gear!
