We stopped by Utah Home Fitness to rent ElliptiGOs actually, a sort of bicycle meets elliptical machine invention. We rent them for four hours through a Groupon and actually had a lot of fun riding them. It was a little difficult to get used to at first, but after awhile the ElliptiGOs were great fun. When we go to the checkout line I told my girls they could each pick out a ball from the small bin of balls. I then bent down to look at something on a shelf. I heard an associate very rudely tell my girls that the balls needed to go back in the bin. Not knowing what to say they started to apologize and the associate repeated "balls in bin!" My girls did as requested and walked over to me. I found it extremely rude and unprofessional that the only interaction we had with any one of service was someone scolding my daughters for holding balls that I said I would buy them ‍. The store was nearly empty and I can understand why. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend doing any business with this store, unless you want to have your kids leave crying. .

I don't often find myself in sporting goods stores that don't have much hiking, camping, and…read morefishing items. My knowledge of who's got the best what sort of expires when you leave the sleeping bag section in these kinds of places, so Play it Again wouldn't normally be the kind of place I spend a lot of time. So why have I been here so many times? It's all about disc golf. Disc golf (or frisbee golf, or frolf if you please) is the maddening sport of throwing frisbees in to the woods. At least that's how I play it. Normally you just throw a frisbee at a basket that's sitting impossibly far away at the park. There are a few courses in Utah and I've played at around a hundred courses nationwide. I lost a disc in a pond in Michigan, a pond in Missouri, and a fenced vineyard in Sacramento. I also left a disc at a park in Salt Lake and I'm pretty sure had another wind up in a river, although I didn't witness it. At $10-20 a pop brand new it's not exactly a fun thing to see your disc disappear into the water. So that brings me Play it Again, and specifically this location. They probably have Salt Lake's biggest selection of new and used discs for sale. Not only from Innova and Discraft, but some of the up-and-coming manufacturers as well. Color selection is so-so with only a few custom dyes, but they seem to have a decent variety of weights and plastics for each model. I've seen some pro shops with lesser selection. The biggest draw for a cheapskate like me is the used disc assortment. There are some dogs in there with your fair share of DX and comparable plastics, but you can score some nicer plastic and a few of the discs are still in newish condition. Better to drop $8-10 on a disc to try it out than $15-20 and find out you don't much like it. Then again, I'm a novice at best, so the more avid crowd may argue the opposite. They'll buy discs for a few bucks, but you'll never get rick off of it. Nasty karma and extra-wide trees follow disc golfers who find stray discs and don't call the owner, so best to return any you find to their rightful owner. Don't be a jack-knob. Do these guys carry more than disc golf stuff. Well, of course they do. Think of them as your neighborhood sporting goods store. It's a quaint space jammed with new and used stuff like exercise equipment, ski and snowboard sutff, golf essentials, and team sports gear. They're always buying used stuff and reselling, so everybody wins.

What kind of warranty within a year is that? This is a very poorly run business that sells high end fitness equip and once the sale is made you are on your own. It got to be very entertaining to see what they would do instead of not helping me. To get our shoes we had to fill out what we needed on an iPad that was by the shoes. That was the only way we could get someone's attention. The only way we got someone to help us was to fill out the iPad again that we needed another pair of shoes, but we said no we just need your help once the guy showed up. When we went to check out, we were found out we were given the wrong shoes and so we went and got the sample one so they could get us the right pair. The girl was totally bugged, but they got a pair that was $100 more. I'm going to notice that??? The cashier was very unfriendly, and was also bugged! We stepped back so she could help other customers while we waited. We could've just stood there, made the customers wait while we waited for my correct shoes-- but thought we'd be nice... she didn't smile, say thank you, etc... My boys have played baseball, football, lacrosse, and now golf, and we've always liked Dicks to get their gear. We will not be returning. I'm still amazed as I think about all the employees that walked past us that never once asked how they could help us. One guy had an earpiece in so it looked like he was maybe more in charge than the others and he actually walked past three times with no words said or eye contact! Pretty sad!!! I understand they work in different parts of the store, but they could've called someone to come and help us very easily! We are going to get shoes elsewhere and return the shoes in the morning. I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.
