No idea where to go... at each entrance there are service stations where you may purchase your items or ask questions. I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

Sorry to do this but things are very different at Scheels than in the past…read more I spent 30 minutes in the Kuhl department and no one even offered help or bothered to say hello. (I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. I've always loved Scheels but I am very disappointed with the current lake of service or lack of. I hope things improve! (I only spent $250)

I recently came across their website and was impressed. Not only did they have a great sale going on, they reminded me of a high-end outfitter from back home. Before making a big ticket purchase, I checked them out. These guys are legit! I was in the market for a new backpack to replace my 30 year old Camp Trails rig. I had my eye on an Osprey pack and I jumped when I saw it marked down. But that's just half of the story. I would've loved my new pack no matter where I purchased it. And I do! It's supremely comfortable. But again, that's not the point. Gear:30 is staffed by folks who love the outdoors as much as I do. You will notice this when you visit their website and do a little reading. Also, the personalized note included with my shipment was a nice touch! This review is provided to thank the gear heads at my new favorite outfitter. And secondly, to remind people that you get what you pay for. How else do you explain having a pack that lasted 30 years? I plan to enjoy my new pack for many more years to come. And I also plan to drop in to Gear:30 to check it out firsthand someday. Thanks guys!

In my google search, they were the ONLY ones to carry in my size & color. Not even Chaco website, or Nordstrom for that matter had them anymore. So glad I got to purchase from them! It even came with a hand written note from "Kylee" thanking me for my purchase. I would have paid even more to go through them instead of Amazon, tho they were the same price (or was it cheaper)? Anyways, thanks GEAR:30 for a great buying experience.

I have two of their products, I'm not a pro or even casual climber - I live in Florida so there's nothing to climb, but I've reached out twice over the year for a headlamp that I left in my car and the batteries exploded and their functional Noctilight case that started breaking - both products were purchased in 2018 and the headlamp was 100% my fault and I told them Other places would tell me that these things were my fault (they'd be right) or it was just wear and tear (reasonable) and they couldn't do anything or they'd offer me a 20% for something from the site, but not Petzl. Petzl completely repaired my headlamp and sent me a rechargeable battery pack (retails for about $30) and since they couldn't replace the headlamp case, they're sending me a completely new one, all at no cost. It's absolutely incredible and I've never bought anything from a company that goes this above and beyond for people. I wish they'd expand their product line to more outdoor gear and I'd buy everything from them, they're a company you want to tell everyone about and everywhere else should take notes. INCREDIBLE!

Use a Spirit 'biner ten years later and it will still feel like new. Get your hands on a copy of their catalog and learn how to be safe in the hills from the sixty some odd pages of instruction presented in a wordless format (like Ikea directions but so much more exciting). Or check it online. Minus one star for inconsistant quality for their headlamps.
