I came back today with the hand me down skis/boots I inherited over a decade ago. I told the staff I had no idea if they were good, or if I needed to get something newer. Beau immediately stepped up and said he'd be happy to help. He spent the next hour with me looking over options at all different price points, pointing out the differences between his recommendations for my ability level. He took the time to not only answer all my questions, but educate me on a sport I didn't grow up around. He was patient and considerate, and listen to me as I voiced certain concerns about some of the options. I ended up walking out with new (to me) skis, poles, boots, and a handful of accessories for me and my kids, with zero buyers remorse. I feel like I'm set up to have a successful ski season for many years to come, and look forward to enjoying the sport much more with myyoung family.

I noticed the rear disk hydraulic brakes weren't working at all. I looked at the hours of Hangar 15 bikes. It said they were open until 7:00 pm. I realized if I hurried I could get there by about 6:30pm I got down there and they were able to fix the brakes by adding brake fluid in under 10 minutes. it was almost completely empty. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I will be taking all my future bike repairs to Hangar 15. All the employees are super friendly. It's a great place for bike repairs and new bikes.

I needed a new dropper post and did t order it in time from my local bike shop. One of their other stores had it and sent it over. They install my new dropper post and I realize my calculations were off somehow and I probably needed the next size up. They dont have it, but one of their other stores does. I ask them to put my dropper back on, I'll go on my ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop after our ride to get it. They asked me if I wanted them to just take the new dropper out, or install my old one. I told them I'd appreciate them reinstalling my old one so that I can at least go ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop for the correct dropper. They said it'd $45 for them to reinstall my dropper. I said seriously!?! That's outrageous. Nevermind then, my friend and I will install it. Then they told me I owe them $32 for them putting in and taking out the new dropper post. I understand $5-10 or something for the cable, but $32 for that and then telling me it'd be $45 to put my old one back on! Thanks for ruining a ride for me. I had a feeling I'd regret going to them and I truly do. Makes me truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful and true family customer service of Over the Edge! Where you're family and they treat you as such! Where they know and practice true customer service! True southern hospitality. Not this nickel and dime you and screw you over crap by rude staff that's going to rape you financially for everything they can and apparently never learned what true customer service is. This review is for the snowboard rentals…read more So, this year, I finally made time to get back to snowboarding and to continue practicing before I make big decisions to invest in the complete gear. I heard about this store and how they provide rentals for a reasonable price. The process is easy: check in at the kiosk to make res; meet with one of the reps in the back (fitting/sizing): and then, pay at the front counter. Staffs are super helpful and nice. Ample parking in the lot. I'd come back to continue renting gears or referring others to come here.

Instead of enjoying the quiet serenity of skiing through powder, the sound of a squeaking old rusty hinge was heard the whole day. The snowboard was set so badly that it caused foot cramping all day. When shown the video with the sound and told how vastly different the experience had been, the employees did not know what could have caused it and were not willing to do anything about it. Extended family are coming out next month and will not be using this rental shop.

Most shops have a process and can spit out a price within a couple minutes for this. Continue to support your local small bike shops but maybe avoid Highlander for anything as complex as finishing a build - its a little too much for them to handle.

I just had an unreal, terrible customer service experience at Marty's Ski and Board Shop. I rented…read moresome skis as part of a demo, where if I liked the skis I could buy a new one from them and they would discount 2 rental days from the price of the skis. The price tag on the ski was listed as $559. Two rental days = $102. Simple math. I should pay, per their own rules, $559-$102 = $457. For some reason, their guy at the counter is having a hard time pricing the skis (even though the sale tag is clear). I then point out to him where the bar code is. The skis, for some reason, scan at $700. He then wants to sell the skis for the listed price of $559 because it's cheaper than the scanned price. Not only that, but the guy acted like he was doing me a great service for honoring their own sticker price. That was not the deal. I would not have demoed those skies if I knew they would be this shady. In fact, I would not recommend renting from them at all. They don't honor their own rules. No integrity. He brought over a girl whom I assume is the manager. She tells him to honor the deal, and then walks it back. She then tells me that the reduced price sticker was added to skies AFTER I took the demo out. She said that the price tag was $599 when I took the demo out (keep in mind that she never offers me the $599 - $102 deal, so clearly she's just fishing for excuses to draw more money out of me). But even then... she KNEW I had those skis out on demo. Why would she lower the price??? But, she did not lower the price. She lied. I remember the $559 sticker. I then told her my wife had found those skis online for $480. She told me she could price match if I showed her the site. Ends up I was wrong and the online price was $525. I didn't want to give them that much money. They deserve zero cents from me.
