They have a lot of equipment here. I came because a friend said there are a lot of used clubs here. There's used clubs but the prices are not remarkable. Most unfriendly and least helpful store I've ever been in! Arrived to look at drivers for my son's birthday. We didn't get a "Hello" or "Welcome!" We looked around and made our way to the back side of the store. We looked at the many used items, and looked around for suggestions or advice from any employees. They were all busy looking at their phones, or watching golf on the Television. They had an ok selection of golf clubs, but we weren't sure what to get. My son started looking up reviews online and checking out advice online. I wondered around the store. No one greeted us or checked on us. We were there about 20 minutes while researching the different drivers my son was interested in. Eventually he decided on one that was highly recommended online. When we were walking up to check out every person at the cash register's were looking at their phones still!!! Not sure why they have so many employees working if all they are going to do is get paid to look at their phones and not greet customers into the store or help, advise or suggest golfing items! Good thing we bought our phones to get the answers we were looking for!! Very disappointed in the customer service. read more

This place is awesome, for lack of a better word. If you're looking for golf equipment or advice, this is the place to go. Even though my wife is brand new to golf and I've only been playing for a few years, everyone who stopped to talk to us didn't make us feel stupid when we asked noobish questions. They not only have top of the line, brand new clubs, but they also have a huge selection of used equipment also. They also have just about every golf accessory you could want (plus a few you didn't know you wanted). I'll probably go back to try out the simulator the next time I'm ready to buy another set of clubs. read more

Vacationing from CA and had to purchased some golf equipment for my son on the 4th of July that we had forgotten to pack.... Selection was great! Prices were competitive and the staff was phenomenal! I find that one of the main reasons I go to Uinta is the staff. If you need help, just ask any employee. If you don't need help, they will not bother you. Don't write off this terrific shop because the staff doesn't tail you all the time. They're not snubbing you. They just figure that if you are a player, you know what you are looking for. If you need attention, the staff is there...with all the help you need. For equipment geeks like me, every single staffer knows a vast amount about what they have in stock...and there is an immense stock. It's important to have the latest and greatest in a golf shop. It's equally important to have the stuff and knowledge about the stuff players NEED and USE. Uinta does a great job at this aspect. They have high-tech fitting and a well equipped repair/service shop where staff knowledge is second to none. Equipment service is quick and prices are really fair. I don't use the clothes department often, but it seems well stocked and definitely well laid out. Uinta constantly let's you know what is going on with electronic and snail mail efforts, too. No "membership" card is used presently (2016) and that seems like a welcome thing to a lot of my golf friends. To me, it's another way that Uinta stays out of your face while quietly and effectively working hard to treat customers with respect. Kinda like golf etiquette gone retail. Plus, you get set up with the right stuff for personalized golf experiences. I have been to Uinta about three times now for different reasons. Every time I'm always greeted and asked what I need help with. They are willing to stay with me while I ask questions and pick out certain clubs. I was even with a young man who took me to the simulator so he could see my swing and he took time to help me choose a club that fits me best. I also got my club re gripped and the staff is always so helpful. I have bigger hands and the man working helped me get a bigger grip and re gripped it while I was there and was so helpful. Overall I had a great experience at this store. I would absolutely recommend anyone to come to this store if you are new to golf or even an expert at golf. The staff here knows what they are talking about and knows how to help you. read more

When the young man couldn't help me the other two busied themselves at the computer. Must have been a computer emergency. I ended up walking out. read more

As far as golf selection goes they have a great selection. However worst customer service ever. I haven't gone in for probably 7 years because of this. However just went in and not one person even said hi. Couldn't find one person to help with the golf simulator. Just very poor customer service. Never going back. read more

So you want a new set of irons, or a driver, or perhaps a new putter, and you don't want to rely on Dick's or Sports Authority. After all, you have an accomplished game, you are confident in your skills, and you understand the differences between forged and cast irons and what they may mean to your game. Great. Come on in to Uinta Golf, and chances are, they will do a reasonable job of helping you out with your shopping. Here are a few fine points on what you can expect: * Don't bother bringing your old clubs in for a trade in allowance. You would be better off giving them to your kids or donating them to charity. Seriously. They always have a good set of used clubs available, but I always who the suckers were that traded them in. * Expect to have to fight and claw your way to the simulator. A glorified sales aid, you would think they would want to get you on the machine to show you how great your new set of clubs will treat you. It has been a mixed bag for me. Sometimes I can walk in and use 'the machine', and other times there is either a long wait, or the sales people act like they want my driver's license and a credit check before I can step up and use it. * Sales people are, as you might guess, a mixed bag. I would not go so far as to say they are high pressure, but once they have spent some time with you, the expectation is absolutely there that they expect you to buy. This is a lot worse that other golf shops, but frankly, after they have spent time with you they expect to be rewarded. * Selection is awesome. Superior clubs and broader assortment make a difference. With prices to match. * Clothing items are also quite nice - and pricey, depending on time of year and brand. * Accessories are abundant and competitively priced. I have been doing business with Uinta for over 25 years, purchased two sets of irons, and a handful of drivers from them. They are good enough to keep me coming back, but I sometimes wonder if I will ever return. read more

I went to Uinta Golf for the first time this last week. I just started getting into golf with one of my friends this year. Long story short... I don't know much about golf, and my friend gave me an old putter. It just needed to be re-gripped, and He recommended Uinta for me to get that done. I walked in and asked where I could get that done at. I was directed to the repair counter, there were 2 or 3 guys back there. Not doing anything. Someone came out after a few minutes and asked if I needed something. I explained that I just wanted the putter re-gripped and he said "okay just a minute." (After rolling his eyes) I waited there for another 10 minutes or so. And someone else finally came out and asked me what it was that I wanted done. I kindly explained to him that I just needed a new grip. He told me to pick out a grip, and I said "well, I'm just starting out golfing and don't need to spend a fortune. Just something to get the job done ya know?" (Thinking he would help me) Well.... he didn't. I was just told "well let me know when you find one." I found one finally and he put it on, handed me my club, and sent me to the cash register. I just felt like an idiot, and out of place. I felt as if the staff there didn't want to actually help me, want me to be there, or let alone be there for themselves for that matter. They should have been a little friendlier and helped me get set up a little bit better. All they managed to do was make me feel dumb about starting to golf. read more

I absolutely love this store. Unlike the other review of this store, I have almost always found no shortage of staff willing to help. I go in several times each season, as I'm a bit of a golf junkie. Over the last several years, I have probably spent the equivalent of a decent car here, and I don't regret it a bit. I trust the staff to make the right recommendations based on my swing and preferences, and I'm rarely, if ever, disappointed with what I purchase. Even during the time when it transitioned to an Edwin Watts store (it is back to locally owned, I believe), the main staff stayed intact and the service was what I had come to expect. I'll admit I have one staff member in particular that I like to work with, as he knows my club history and preferences best, but I'm not shy about getting help from others when he isn't around. Overall a great store and shopping there provides all the economic benefits of shopping local. I wouldn't buy anywhere else. read more
