There are 3 practice bays with Trackman simulation for $30/hr (or free with the membership), 2 bays for testing out said new clubs, and 2 bays for fitting with a professional (for a fee of course). Lots of parking for our big rig in the back as we're on our way to Star Valley Wyoming and are just passing through Utah. We would be back to this store for sure next time we're in our RV.

There is a great selection and variety. I mostly go for the toys. There is a specific toy that I seek and this is the place to find them. While their toy department is not huge and is just a relatively smaller department within the store, what they do have is quality stuff, things that people actually seek out. Lego sets, RCs, educational children's toys, games, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent selection of disc golf discs. They even had some of one of my favorite brands, Kastaplast! Either Kastaplast is finally getting some mainstream recognition or Scheels has a good sporting goods manager. Speaking of which, Ashton is a great guy and truly thinks of the customer first and the customer's experience. There were even Zuca disc golf carts there. And they were all on sale. Another aspect to love about Scheels are the things you can do there like mini bowling, shooting arcade, and the Ferris wheel. You can have a date there for cheap! And then go to the cafe for a meal or treats. BTW, the jerky they sell there is excellent! All the employees there are very helpful. In some small ways, Scheels is better than Bass Pro, Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse. In this competitive market, small ways is what stands you apart. I really like those other stores, too, but Scheels just feels different. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Let's just say we arrived 30 minutes before closing, were directed exactly where to go, and did our best with the good amount of selection. About 10 minutes AFTER closing, one of the staff came back to see how he could help (not rushing us or asking us to wrap it up). In fact, we were ready to buy and he took one look at my kids shoe sizes and the skates we intended to buy and asked us a few questions. Turns out we didn't know as much as we thought in order for my children to have the best possible experience skating. He started from scratch, measured them both, and helped put on and take off the different pairs we were considering. He guided us to the best skates for their needs, taught us tricks how to "listen" for a good fit, why different skates were heavier, etc. Considering my daughter has unusually wide feet and tall arches, it was remarkable that they just happened to have a less in demand men's figure skate (that runs wider) that would work for her. Even though this store is way out of our way, I will definitely go back because of the knowledgeable and helpful staff.

The shoes were super uncomfortable and after wearing them for only one hour, my feet were irritated and I couldn't even walk with them. It seems it's because of a defect in their design (there is a stiff plastic material on top of the shoes that rubs on the feet when used). I contacted their customer service and they did not accept returning or exchanging the shoes. They sent me instruction of how to wear a shoe. I'm never buying from ASICS again. The thing I appreciated was the simple and effective teaching points that Kyler provided me. I was able to see immediate improvement on my ball striking and ball flight. I don't play a ton of golf, but I want to play more now that I have some easy things to work on. It will definitely be a more enjoyable experience after having taken a lesson there. I also like the free app they provide that allows me to watch my lesson and to remember the things I need to do to improve. Definitely worth a visit.
