Great new tiki bar for Tucson tiki-heads. Hidden speakeasy-style inside The Landing, if you can't find the door just ask the staff at The Landing and they'll show you how to get in. Nice spacious interior with the proprietors tiki mug collection on display as decor, with thematically appropriate music playing. Drink menu includes a roughly 50/50 mix of classics and house originals. Had an agricole rhum Mai Tai and a Junglebird, both were good. The coconut-rum glazed chicken wings were super crispy and they give you a generous portion. Staff is very attentive. read more

This place is pure vibe. Nothing was left to chance. Tiki at its best. No TV screens on the wall. No bad top 40s music. Classic Tiki done right. Amazing cocktails crafted by skilled and friendly bartenders. Incredible food to round out the cocktail menu. Well thought out ambiance in every way. Lighting is dialed in. Classic exotica music fills the room. The space is festooned with original art and an amazing tiki mug collection. True to tiki form they offer true tiki mugs sculpted by the greats. I have been to many "Tiki bars" and this one is my personal fave. This place is truly a work of art. I will come back again and again. read more

Well, if you are able to find the entrance... prepare for a dark, well decorated Tiki Speakeasy. Bar seating looks comfy. Other options are just not as comfy and more like motorhome seating. No TVs is a good thing, music very low, so if you like a quiet, dark, low energy bar with expensive drinks and a limited menu, go for it! Please use bottled Tonic and add more Gin options. Suggest you lower drink prices, serve the same menu as The Landing, and add some energy, and use the Front door!! Green plastic greenery wall entrance in the dumpster area is novel, but give people the Front Door option and add some signage!! Would love for this Tiki bar to make it! read more

Tiki bar in Oro Valley. Specialty drinks are a tad high priced but they will bring wine or beer from The Landing next door. Wonderful dark atmosphere and their bar food is excellent. I don't understand all the negative reviews they almost stopped me from coming here. However fortunately my friend and I love tiki bars so when we saw there was one in our hometown we had to stop by! It was fun trying to find the door to this place! We were worried the drinks would be too sweet by reading some reviews however they were just right and honestly what you would expect for tiki drinks! It was a cool vibe. Loved the music walking in and service was good too. We will definitely be back and bring more friends! Hoping this place does well thanks for bringing something refreshing and new for us! read more

It looks like this will be the second review, so I'll be generous. It's true that the decor and the mugs are quite cool and well presented, and the idea ("hidden" behind a restaurant and next to a car wash) is kind of cool for Tucson, but that's where the positives end. Maybe it's not the point for everyone, but the reason that I go to tiki bars is to have good drinks. Sure the décor is part of the experience, but it seems to me that the drinks are the whole reason for a tiki BAR's existence. In this case, I think I'd try Applebee's for a tiki drink before Cabali. No really, they were that disappointing. I had a fog cutter and my colleague had a mai tai. Both were hastily poured by the same young woman who took the order, and both were served overflowing in sticky glasses (not tiki mugs). The glasses are standard practice to avoid theft, but should be mentioned since the place is all about the mug collection. Neither drink bore any resemblance to drinks of the same name at at better bars (or when I make them at home). Both seemed to be made with some sort of sour mix, the rum tasted at cheap and minimal, and while I don't remember seeing/tasting a bad Agricole, the mai tai almost seemed Agricole *flavored* rather than being Agricole (but I realize that's not a thing- hard to describe). Either way, balance is not even a word I should be using in this review. Both drinks were actually difficult to finish and I wished I'd had a tums chaser. And this is coming from someone who will spend HOURS at Tiki Ti or Smuggler's Cove (very different takes on tiki, but both well done in their own rights). These were $6 "tiki drinks" that I'd have happily avoided at a surf side pop up bar on Venice Beach, but did I mention that they were near $20?!? Wrong idea. The place looks nice and someone clearly spent time and money on it. I hope that the drinks get the same attention very soon. read more

What a great concept for a tiki bar. Basing the design around the owners obsession with tiki mugs is a great idea. They've only been open for a month or so, so it's understanding that people's experiences can vacillate, but I had a good enough time that I can't wait to come back. Thought it would be cool to try a new tiki place but was very disappointed and won't be going back. The drinks are $14-19 EACH and not that good and pretty small. Food was limited, which is fine, but the hamburger was well done when we asked for it to be medium rare and the fried rice had way too much soy sauce. Seating is limited which would be easier to tolerate if you're enjoying a nice drink. Hope things improve there. read more

Parents loved their smoked tequila Bosa Chica. Full of crazed tiki heads on a Saturday afternoon. Crazed tiki heads are the best kind. Octopus totem at the bar is the best octopus totem in Southern Arizona. Hard to find the grass covered entrance but worth it. I suspect they hid it on purpose to keep the sports ball fans from the attached spots bar around the corner from wandering in. read more

Walked in for our first visit and sat down at a table. Waitress was nice and took our drink order. Then some guy came and said we had to leave because our two well-behaved quiet kids were not allowed. My wife waited all week for this night out. I begged him to let us stay, told him my kids will behave as they already were. Waitress even agreed with us. We just wanted ONE drink at 7:30pm. So disappointed in the complete lack of service. Literally. We left without getting served at all. We arrived later in the afternoon on a Saturday hoping to avoid the crowd we knew would be there for the mug release. We succeeded, bar had patrons, but was not crowded. Our group of four stood at the bar waiting to place an order, even though we thought we made eye contact, bartenders just kept passing us by without greeting or acknowledgement. At one point a bartender left and then came back several minutes later with a t-shirt for another customer passing us both times and still took no notice of us, despite our efforts to gain their attenton. When they returned to the other customer the second bartender joined them. So if you're wondering how many Cabali bartenders it takes to sell a t-shirt the punchline is all of them. A coworker told me to try Cabali because we like dive bars. First off this whole place is beautiful and very interesting to look at the hard work put into the design. I hope there will be some rotation to the drink menu in the future. The cocktails we drank were decent. My only negative would be the bar staff on the night we went literally had no personality they do not interact with customers and it seemed they were being inconvenienced to make drinks. It's like robots serving drinks it's such a cool bar concept it could be so much better with interactive bartenders. But if that's not on the top of your list please give it a try at least once. read more

Had an amazing time here!! I brought my mom in for Mother's Day. The ambiance, service, and drinks were incredible. We got the coconut shrimp appetizer, which was delicious as well. Although the craft cocktails are on the pricier side, it was absolutely worth it. We are already planning on going back this weekend. read more

With my BFF coming into town I was looking forward to trying this new tiki bar. We were very disappointed on several points. Entrance- while having a secret entrance is kinda cool, if you miss it there should be a sign or something letting you know you've gone too far. We were walking around the back of the restaurant around used kegs/storage area that was unappealing and not where the general public should be. Wait time for service was not bad but things went downhill from there. My drink was brought to the table, but not my friend's. I sat there for about 5 minutes with the ice melting into my drink while we waited for hers. A good server does not bring out drinks one at a time. I know it might sound petty, but we were not given cocktail napkins. When you're paying $17 for a drink you expect something to put your garnish onto besides the table top. My main point is that I knew the drinks were expensive and that's OK, but the service had better reflect it. The drinks themselves were tasty, but we expected them to be served in tiki mugs not plain standard chimney glasses. The decor was very nice, but every time the door was opened we were blinded by the bright light from outside. This place is a great idea, but lack of execution was prominent throughout our visit. We finished our cocktails and sat at the table for just under 15 minutes waiting to be asked if we wanted another round or our check. The bar was not busy, there were 8-12 people during the time we were there with two bartenders. Bottom line is that in a bar like this you don't hire novice bartenders and servers. It would be like hiring someone who had only worked McDonald's drive up to wait tables at a high end steak house. I hope that their service improves or I fear they won't last very long. read more
