My garage power went out, and my usual fix--turning the breaker fully off and back on in a recently installed panel--didn't work. I noticed a reset button on the breaker and tried that too, with no success. I assumed the breaker had failed. I called CA Electrical Group, and the next morning their supervisor, Jacob, came out. Within minutes he showed me that the breaker required a specific reset sequence I didn't know about. Once that was done, the issue was resolved. Jacob then went above and beyond. He removed the panel cover, carefully inspected the wiring, and confirmed everything there was in good shape. I also have a much older exterior panel that feeds the newer one, and he took the time to inspect that as well. While it wasn't the best installation, he explained clearly how the two panels were interconnected and what to watch for going forward. He spent over an hour with me, explained everything thoroughly, and did not charge me anything. I was extremely impressed with Jacob--very knowledgeable, focused on doing what's best for the customer, and genuinely friendly. I'll be using CA Electrical Group to replace a shorted outlet soon, and when I decide to replace the older panel, they'll absolutely be my first call. Highly recommended. read more

He is so busy and works really hard running all over town and to different cities making sure clients are taken care of. Update 09/2025- Use them again for another job to get my main breaker switch replaced. Excellent service yet again. He came by evaluated the electrical panel and made recommendations based on where I wanted to place my EV charger. Installation was scheduled once the quote was approved and deposit made. Another individual came to install based on the instructions Kfir had provided him and the video. The individual was also really good. Installed and cleaned up after himself. It took a bit long then I was expecting but was completed in a few hours on the same day. I would highly recommend this company to have your EV installed. Jacob took the time to explain the problem in my house. The "quick fix" would have been to find the outlet where there was a short and fix that. Jacob explained the proper fix would be to rewire with proper grounding done. Quick fix would be a few hundred dollars and the rewiring would cost upwards of $15,000! I needed the quick fix though but Jacob was very clear he couldn't do that. But as promised he did not charge for diagnosis and the estimate. I was happy about. Overall I would recommend this company if you want to really understand what's going on and I would perhaps go with them for larger projects. I will say that the quick fix cost me much less and while I still have ungrounded wiring, that's a problem for another day. read more

Reached out for electrical work in the backyard, to have outlets installed by pulling the wires from the lights on the walls. Jacob mentioned work can be done but it could be messy for what we are trying to achieve. Instead he advised me to contact a different source for better solution with out the outlets. Jacob came out and tried to quickly fix my GFCI tripping problem but after trying several things he couldn't get it to work with the load outlet attached. He quoted coming back out and I was happy to put down the deposit. Because I wanted to investigate more, I found that the GFCI by itself worked fine and once the load was attached it tripped so I figured it must be a problem with the load. The old style push to connect wires was not connecting strong enough causing the GFCI to trip. Once I wrapped the wire around the screw, a more solid connection was made and everything worked. Because I fixed the problem, I emailed Jacob to hopefully get a refund for the future visit. My deposit was refunded and this is a very happy customer. When I plan to install a charger, I will definitely call them. read more

After posting this review to hopefully help others know to watch out they called me three different times and tried to bribe me with "discounts" on future work for me to remove the truthful and valid negative review of their company. I am surprised about the good reviews about this company and wanted to share my experience. No doubt the company was responsive, prompt, showed up on time, showed up on a holiday Dec 31st and the free estimate was helpful. My issue was simply that they quoted me a lot more than my job required. We had a short and the two men told me I needed a whole new panel of $2,250 and $750 to find the short, We only had issues with the short on the upper quarter half of the house. I understand my system was 20 years old however 1) I was confused why I needed to replace my whole panel when he pointed out exactly what circuit breaker was at fault and took it out and we had the lights working perfectly fine in the rest of the house which he could see and 2) to fix a short my other quotes were under $300 3) he told me he'd give me a special "$200" or so discount if I lock in the same day, which again odd but I understand business is business. As I came on yelp to write this post I see a $149 special and other specials that I wasn't even told about so why give me this whole lie about a special price I need to lock within a few hours the same day ? I lucked out and found a local, honest electrician who replaced the faulty circuit breaker and fixed my short all in the span of 2 hours and under $400. Thus, I am still very confused why they quoted me what they did as all the other reviews say otherwise. Business is business, but losing your integrity, taking advantage of a person who has no knowledge about electrical work, and quoting a total of $3000 for the same job I got done in under $400 seemed very dishonest and deceiving to me. I don't want anything from this company for this review, I simply want to alert other homeowners who find themselves with unexpected electrical issues in their house and panic in the heart to do their homework before committing. read more

We needed our distribution panel replaced in a hurry for insurance purposes, an estimator came out in a couple of days and by the end of the week the job was done. Their quote was a bit lower than others and everything looks OK at this point. The only slight negative was no contact person was assigned to the job, just has to call their number or post a question on their web site. Guess the job was small potatoes for them.
