Brian is an absolute joy to work with. He is professional, knowledgeable and reasonable. My job requires brian to install a new generator inlet box, remove all my super duper old breakers and move them into my new panel. Work quality is superb and will certainly use him again in any future works.

BMH Electric is great...I highly recommend them! Brian and his crew installed a Level 2 EV charger in my garage. This was not a simple task as they needed to run power/conduit from my upstairs breaker box, down through the floor, then across three rooms on the ground floor, and finally into my garage. They were done in 6 - 8 hours. Their estimate was fair/transparent they perform quality work...I couldn't be happier with the results! CMP

Maybe my job was too small but after sending a text and photos I got one response that he'd take a look and get back to me. Then crickets.

I've used Adary Electric multiple times now at my home in Redwood City and both times Victor has…read morebeen outstanding. First visit, he troubleshot a closet light that had lost its neutral behind a ceiling fan, tracked it down and reconnected it. He also diagnosed a dead 3-way switch in the hallway -- turned out the prior electrician had wired it wrong on a single pole -- and converted it properly to a 3-way. Knocked out a kitchen can light switch while he was at it. All done in about an hour. No other electrician was able to figure it out the closet light kerfuffle, but Victor did! Turns out he has nearly 30 years of experience! Second visit, Victor and Francisco came out to remove a 6" recessed can light and splice onto the switch leg to power a new ceiling fan I'd had installed. Clean work, everything labeled, no loose ends. Done in about 2.5 hours. Rates are fair ($125/hr), they show up when they say they will, and Victor clearly knows residential electrical inside and out -- he doesn't guess, he diagnoses. The kind of electrician you want working inside your walls. Highly recommend for anyone in the Peninsula area!

I had an incredibly weird issue where some of my home outlets work and some do not and some were…read moreflickering in and out. The breaking point was when the internet became unreliable because the power was unreliable and the stove stopped working. I contacted Alex and he said he could send someone over that same day. He was transparent about the pricing before the job began. When his team member (Ming) came over he was thorough and transparent about what he found and Alex came over to assess himself. Turns out one of the main line coming into the house on the verge of burning out and thus the other 110v line was trying to compensate which caused it to also overload. This explained why the 240 outlets were not functioning. Our electrical was just old and the age caught up. He gave a reasonable estimate and fixed it by the end of the day. In passing, I also mentioned that although our stove worked, it seemed that it's power fades as I use it more and he was able to determine that line was under gauged for the load and was a fire hazard. Looking up the prior setup before my recent renovation, I see that they had incorrectly reduced the stove line from 40amps to 30amps. Alex and team was able to solved that problem as well, giving me updates along the way and providing very easy to understand explanations. This was an annoying problem plaguing us for years! Again, the pricing is very reasonable and the quality of work is exceptional. I highly recommend Alex Tong and his team.

Had a positive experience with Max Electric and everything went smoothly. Both the initial…read moreinspection (unfortunately didn't get the name of who did it) and the actual work were great. Rigo did a great job with the 3 things I had done: replacing an electrical panel, replacing 2 light fixtures, and installing a smoke alarm. He was on time, knowledgable, and efficient. I don't think it is necessarily the cheapest option around but with something like this, quality and experience matters and they did a great job and handle permits and such. They did exactly what I asked them to do and were responsive over email and able to ask the exact questions they needed which made things seamless. This is not necessarily a bad thing but they could have probably done some kind of "walk through" around the place and found some additional work for me. Upselling is obviously not always a great practice but in my case, there were some things that I wish I had done and I think they could have suggested them and left it up to me to say yes/no to during the initial inspection. For example my kitchen could definitely use at least 1 additional outlet, I should have probably replaced a 3rd light, and so on. I do respect that they don't try to take you on a ride but since it is probably efficient to do things all at once, may have been helpful to discuss (this was also my bad for not noticing these things before). Rigo did a bunch of smaller things that made a big difference too like taking out the packaging for the lights and the old ones as well as the old electrical panel, clearly labeling all the switches very neatly which was not well done before, answering my questions and explaining things in a way that I (someone with little knowledge about most of this stuff) would understand.

Told us we wouldn't be charged for his time but we got a $400 bill for "diagnostics and troubleshooting." On top of this, communication was a mess. Manager called me at 6pm on a Friday and couldn't get two words together, not sure if he was high or just exhausted but it was a super unprofessional call and left me with more questions than answers. Finally got some clarity in an email, but jeez what a mess. Maybe their work quality is good, but I won't be sticking around to find out. I'll be working with someone who is more up front about their work, better at communicating, and doesn't charge so much.
