The fraying started a while ago and I was procrastinating about replacement, but now it was to a point that it was going to snap at any time, and it was time to replace. I was debating on replacing the lamp rather than spend the money to repair and I decided to repair it. I dropped it off on a Saturday afternoon and woman said it would be ready by Monday. I wasn't expecting it to be replaced so quickly. The cost of the replacement socket--the pull chain couldn't be replaced on its own--was $9.50, reasonable. The labor though was $28, and the total cost was almost $40. While I could have just purchased a new bed lamp for less than that, considering the alternative was having an otherwise good lamp go to landfill. I thought it was worth it price and now my lamp will last many more years. If you have lamp repairs, I would definitely bring it to Carlos Lighting for repair and support this local Mom and Pop business.

He came by in person for a quick consultation so that we could align on expectations and he thoroughly went over my options and answered my 100 questions. Because our roof line is asymmetrical I challenged Issac with how we could find balance and his creative solution was to install some up lights which paid off. I ultimately decided to only have the front of our house done because our neighbors are close by and felt that would be disruptive for them. The team was ready to install 1.5 weeks later and they did a great job at keeping the cords nicely tucked away where possible and neatly tacked.
