Firstly, I looked on youtube to try and fix my broken lamp fixture myself, that's where I found on youtube, the Stanford Electric Works' electrician Danny's "Daboy Lamp and Fixture Repairs". I figured I should just let Danny fix my broken lamp fixture which is located inside a tall bookshelf. It now looks brand new. I received my lamp back in 2 days and very reasonable cost for the repair replacement. This is a nice place of business, everyone was very friendly.

Wow, in this day of big box retailers (I hate them FYI) its nice to see a small business that is still thriving and been around 100 years to boot! In the case of Stanford Electric Works it was the 4th stop in our quest for a mid century modern exterior light for our Eichler Home (more on that below) Stanford Electric Works is a small store but it has quite a selection on display. We were able to find a few lights that may work for us. We did not get to speak to anybody there as the one person there was busy with another customer in back. However, their selection and prices were on point so it worked well for us. Sometimes having a distinctive home is both a blessing and a curse. In our case we are lucky enough to own an Eichler. For those unfamiliar, Joseph Eichler was a developer (primarily in the SF Bay Area and LA) who between 1949 and 1966 built what is now termed Mid Century Modern or if you will "California Modern" tract homes. Taking cues from not only Frank Lloyd Wright, The Eames, et al, and the famous Case Study Homes they bought affordable high end architecture to the masses. All told over 11,000 of these homes were built. Given the distinct, love it or hate it style, changing stuff is difficult if you want it to look right. In this case with our recent (yes I did it all myself) exterior refresh we decided to correct a wrong with our exterior lighting and find something in character with the home. If you are interested in Eichler the "People in Glass Houses: The Legacy of Joseph Eichler" is a fantastic documentary

We used them for converting our fluorescent lights to LED. They did a great job! And they did a great job of cleaning up after!

This is the second time I asked for Patty's help to design our kitchen remodel. We like the kitchen…read morePatty designed for us in our previous house: beautiful, functional and simplistic. When we moved to our current home, we encountered several challenges with the original kitchen cabinets and drawers, upon which we further appreciated the seemingly small details that Patty put in that makes your everyday life so much easier: deep enough drawers, convenient back row access, and functional ways of managing blind corners. When we finally decided to remodel our current kitchen, without a doubt, I reached out to Patty for help. She spent enormous time going through the details of what we wanted for the kitchen, brainstorming with me, and then proposed several options for us to consider. She proactively came to our construction site multiple times to ensure the measurements are accurate, and she spent quality time with our construction crew to ensure the installation is perfect. As the project moved along, we had several new ideas and alterations in mind that was beyond our original plan, and every time this happened, Patty always patiently adjusted the design for us. It is really apparent that as much as we did, Patty wanted the kitchen to be as perfect as we have dreamed of, as if it were her own. And it did. We couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Our family have been utterly enjoying all the family cooking and gathering in our new kitchen. We owe this a lot to Patty's superb design skills, practical considerations, and ultimately the strong ownership and professionalism. Thank you again Patty and Signature Kitchen Design!

From the very beginning, Patty listened thoughtfully to our vision, needs, and family's rhythm. I leaned on her expertise and trusted her recommendations completely. I'm glad I did. She took my aesthetics and ideas and skillfully incorporated them into a design that felt deeply "us," while elevating everything in ways I couldn't have achieved on my own. We now have more space, a peninsula where our whole family can eat, all without knocking down walls. This wasn't just a kitchen remodel for us; it was a kitchen that evolved with our family, and one we will enjoy for years to come as we move into the late elementary and junior high seasons of raising our kids. Patty and Kurt put their heart in the heart of the home! Patty said that "it takes a village," and that is exactly what this process felt like: a true village effort, thoughtfully coordinated to bring everything together beautifully. Their attention to detail was outstanding from precise measurements to careful planning, thoughtful execution, and consistent, attentive follow-up with us throughout the project. We always felt cared for, never rushed, and deeply supported in our decisions. Patty and Kurt treated us like partners in the process, not just clients, and their communication was clear, warm, and reassuring from start to finish. Our finished kitchen has exceeded our expectations in both beauty and function, and it brings us joy every single day. Friends, family, and neighbors continue to compliment the transformation and the quality of the design. If we ever need renovation advice in the future, Signature Kitchen & Bath will be our first call. We recommend Patty and Kurt without hesitation to anyone looking for experts in cabinet and kitchen design, genuinely care about their clients, and bring caliber and reliability to a renovation.

I met Pam, and on the spot, knew she was the right person to work with. Pam asked all the right questions and listened to what we wanted in our dream home. She completely understood our vision, thought of every little detail, and didn't overlook any aspect of the project that we felt was important. The level of detail and thoroughness when it came to how the spaces were designed really showed Pam and Erwin's level of expertise. Pam and Erwin had our dreams, vision, and best interest in mind. From the initial space planning for the kitchen and master bathroom, the layout of slabs, tile and cabinetry, selection of all the finish materials, colors, fixtures and hardware, they were very professional to work with. Details matter to us, and their attention to detail is apparent in our finished home. They referred excellent vendors and suggested the best, high end and quality finishes and materials. Most importantly, Pam and Erwin's work ethics are unbeatable, and they made sure we got everything we wanted on our checklist. From start to finish, the design process went smoothly, and the meetings and discussions were fun and productive. We gave them the creative freedom and trusted their design process and vision and our kitchen and bathroom remodel designs are masterpieces. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that we asked for Pam's help to furnish our house. Every room was beautifully designed with an understated sense of elegance and in tune with the architecture and surroundings. Pam's sense of style and her vision has positively impacted our quality of life as we enjoy her work every day. We are very grateful that we were able to work with Pam and Erwin. Our house would have not been the same without their creativity and vision.
