Chris is a great electrician. He came by my house for a free estimate when we wanted to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet. He looked around my house and gave me a digital estimate. It took me a long time to decide to go with him because he had 1 review when I found him (since he just started his own business), but I'm so happy I gave him the chance. When he came around to do work, he was a little late due to another job he was doing. This didn't mean that his work was bad though, he was so clean and thorough with everything he did. Everything is wrapped up safely. We requested to get a permit and got some scheduling issues but he worked closely with me to get another one scheduled. The inspection passed without any issues! I will use Chris for all my other needs. I already recommended him to my friends because I think he does great work for a reasonable price. read more

Chris came recommended by my remodel contractor. He ended up having to replace my whole circuit panel. Which for a mobile home is not an easy thing, especially under COVID supply issues. Chris was diligent in getting all the right pieces, then making a small modification to my housing box. He had to crawl under my house which is not the easiest thing to do (lots of obstacles and height restrictions), run new wire in several places (some inside of conduit), and trace down the bad outlets that caused my original issue. I needed a transfer switch installed on my house for my portable generator. I got multiple estimates. Chris was by far the most patient and friendly electrician. After looking at the specs of my generator, what I wanted to power during an outage, where I wanted to run the generator and the layout of my house he explained my options and made some suggestions. His estimate was not the highest or the lowest, but he was by far the easiest person to communicate with and had the attitude of achieving my goal. Chris explained everything he was going to do. He had a delay because the panel he ordered did not arrive on time, but otherwise the job was completed on time. He always texted when he was on his way over. If he was going to be delayed he always called to let me know. He made the adjustments to my portable generator that the manual listed for use with transfer switches - something I would have been uncomfortable doing on my own. He then walked me through the operation of the transfer switch and the generator, then had me do it on my own to make sure I was comfortable with the process. When he was done, everything was as clean as he found it. Chris was polite, friendly, professional and knew his stuff. The job took as long as predicted and cost as much as his estimate. This is the first time we used Chis. Our regular Electrician couldn't come as soon as we wanted. Also our regular Electrician charges $200 just to diagnose your problem. If you use them they use the $200 as part of your payment. If your bill is less than $200, they still keep the remaining amount. Chris doesn't have a $200 or any amount to diagnose your problem. We had a problem with an outlet that has all our computer stuff. Chris very quickly fixed the problem. Explained everything in detail. I was very very impressed. I was also impressed that he didn't knock the other electrical work that was done recently outside. Chis is a honest man. Chris also has a great personality too. His knowledge is excellent. My husband and I are so glad we found Chris. He will be our new Electrician. We hired Chris to do some other work. My husband and I highly recommend Chris. Brightbar Electric just completed a partial re-wire of my home. When I say partial, I mean about 75% of the house was knob and tube, and Chris did an awesome job Re-wiring that section, all while minimizing the damage to the walls. He strategically drilled holes to pull wires, versus hacking up the walls. I was beyond impressed with his skills. Being that the house is 80 years old, there were some strange framing obstacles, but Chris met them all head on, and welcomed the challenges. The project went a little longer than he expected, but he didn't complain at all, in fact he was apologetic. Chris and fixed the wiring in one of our bathrooms, installed two low voltage lighting transformers, installed LED lights throughout our house and most importantly, installed a transfer switch and external electrical outlet to support a gas portable generator...in case of a power outage. Chris fixed a problem we have suffered for years - frequent circuit breaker tripping in half of the house. I had spent a lot of time trying to locate and fix the problem: Googling online for various tips and diagnosis, replacing the circuit breaker, unplugging outlets, all to no avail. I had also consulted another electrician who could not offer any specific analyses on the cause of the problem either. Chris responded to my call on yelp very quickly, made an appointment and came on time despite morning traffic. His analysis and nice personality quickly convinced me to change the free estimate session into trouble shorting then to three hours of repair. I did not even bother to get another estimate to save his and my time. Three hours later we have a new reliable system. We have not had another circuit breaker tripping since then.
