We were looking to update our sub panel as the one we had was a Federal Pacific & if you ever looked into those panels, they are a hazard. We also wanted to have a 240v plug installed for an EV charger. Mike was quick with communication & came the next day to have a look at the details. Mike and Ben just installed 4 recessed LEDs and 2 central lights for my 3 bedrooms. I have a quite tight timeline, so I actually contacted a bunch of electricians searched from Yelp. Mike is the only one who did a field estimation. My original plan is to install 4 recessed LEDs per bedroom, which would cost more. Mike pointed out due to two bedrooms have small size, central light with correct luminance should work. And it does, also add more design feel comparing to the original all recessed light plan. Actually it's another review mentioning Mike did field investigation first before quote inspired me to contact him. They finished the job four days after I contacted Mike (job itself took 2 days). All the cut down ceiling is kept (I don't have attic), room is clean, no trash. The final price is in a reasonable range. I won't name here, but some OTHER 5 star electrician quoted me outrageously expensive: $325 per recessed LED light! I don't know if they over-priced because I'm a single lady? But come on, I'm not stupid~~I have friends who are home owners, and one can always compare between quotes and do research online, right? So far so good. I like the final performance of the lightenings. Will update with photos when I could capture it properly, and if anything comes up. Right now I definitely would choose Tri-phase again for any potential electrical work. read more

He rescheduled for today 11/8 between 11am and noon. I sent him a text a few minutes after noon saying to not bother as I'm not willing to waste more of my time. He replied saying he was here at 9:55am and there was no answer at the door. He then described a house that isn't mine (claiming there are apartments next to it - there are no apartments next to my house). I was here. My housemate was here. My dogs were here. Yet none of use heard the doorbell, which rings at both ends of the house, and is quite loud. I didn't actually go with Tri-Phase to install my NEMA outlet for a car charger, but Mike was awesome and timely when he came out to give me an estimate. The only reason I didn't go with Tri-Phase was due to agreeing to another electrician's work before Tri-Phase was able to bid. I had too many electricians/quotes all within a short period of time so it was tough to remember coordinate all the estimates. Mike was very understanding about me already agreeing to another electrician by the time he came to give me an estimate, and due to that, he deserves 5 stars. I first had Mike over to remove an ugly chandelier that came with the house and replace with recessed lighting. I had no idea what pattern to drill the lights in but Mike was patient with me and gave me his suggestion, as well as backups in case I didn't like his #1 pick (I went with his first suggestion and the lighting is perfect in my house). Mike was the only electrician that told me that we need to get the lights with higher lumens because of my high ceilings. Mike proved to me that he knew his stuff. Oh, and he charged less than the other guys. Then I had him over to replace all the ugly light fixtures in the house, change out all the light switches, install an electric car charger in the garage, mount a chandelier from the 20 foot ceiling, and add a few GFI and regular outlets in various places around the house. After countless hours and thousands of dollars, I can confidently say that Mike is the best. He has a great personality and is super reasonable (lower than the rest). He is awesome.
