We can't say enough good things about Dominic and his team at DeLuca Electric. We needed to replace some old pendants in our kitchen as well as install a 240 volt outlet in our garage. They were amazing! Very professional, competent, non-intrusive, and friendly. We will be using them again! So glad we found them. read more

Our house was in need of a major electrical overhaul and DeLuca delivered in a big way. He and his crew helped to rewire the garage, install 2 outlets for EV charging, and completely rewired 5 rooms in the house, removing all of the remaining knob and tube wiring. They only had to make a handful of holes in the wall to access components, working primarily from the attic and the crawl space - which is a marvelous rarity given knob and tube removal. He also changed the main panel (now 200 A) and rerouted all circuits to the new panel. He and his crew were fast and cleaned up after themselves. They pulled the permit and followed through with guidance all the way through the inspection process - which went smoothly. Dominic is a straight shooter and communicates clearly. His quote was competitive and having someone that you trust, especially on major work like this, is invaluable. read more

Deluca was responsive and the work was done quickly and professionally. The people were pleasant to work with. I would recommend them and use them again. The price was reasonable and as expected. read more

DeLuca Electric is awesome - we had a small job to replace/reposition a old "DIY" outlet that was poorly placed for a new dishwasher, and the final completed job was excellent. Dominic was a pleasure to work with, super communicative and easy to schedule. His worker, Gonzalo, arrived on time, and was courteous and professional (he wore shoe covers in the house, and he was extremely tidy). The job was completed fairly quickly and at a reasonable rate. I definitely recommend DeLuca Electric and would hire them again for my next job! read more

Your search is over if you are looking for an electrician on the peninsula. What a wonderful company to do business with. We needed to have the recessed lighting in our kitchen replaced/updated. Got the name of Deluca Electric from two of my neighbors. High quality work, competitive prices and the communications with Dominic Deluca, the owner was EXCELLENT. Gonzalo, an employee of Deluca arrived right on time, put booties on his shoes, put down a tarp to protect our hard wood floors. And this gentleman was/is just a warm, friendly and talented young man. I look forward to calling Deluca Electric again. My marriage has been saved. :) read more

Dominic provides efficient and high quality work. My 1940s home had knob and tube wiring. The electrical outlets were not grounded and some of the bedroom lights sometimes sparked after turning them off. Dominic listened to my concerns and after discussion, we agreed to complete the re-wiring of my home in two phases so that I could delay the costs for some of the work while getting the most urgent issues taken care of more promptly. Dominic and his crew worked around my schedule and ended up being able to do most of the work while I was on vacation. They rewired half the house, and installed a larger electrical box. Also impressive was how few holes and how small the holes were in my home. This made repairing the holes easy. I highly recommend DeLuca Electric and I look forward to working with them for part II. read more

There should be new joke of how many electrical contractors do you have to call to get a LED light installed! I called around to some of the highly rated Electrical Contractors on Yelp with some disappointing results. I called and left messages with Alex of Eminent Electrical and after a few voicemails he finally called back. Alex said he was too busy and could not meet my schedule a week before I needed him to replace a light fixture. Then I contacted O'Connor & Son's Electric who after a lengthy dialog quit responding to my texts! So I called and got in touch with Dominic Deluca from DeLuca Electric. He came to my rescue as I needed the light fixture changed out before a remodel of the room and I had contractors depending on the light fixture being changed out. Dominic set my fears aside and kept to his word on which day I would get service. He sent Gonzalo who showed up early which was fine with me. Gonzalo brought in his tools and put down a large work mat and in twenty minutes had the new LED light installed and working. I really appreciated Dominic for accommodating my schedule and sending Gonzalo to get my project done before the other contractors came to remodel the room. Parts and labor were less than what O'Connor & Son's electric would have charged just to show up! DeLuca Electric is the way to go! read more

I needed some old wiring in my garage fixed up. DeLuca provided really good service, they worked fast and did a great job! I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

DeLuca Electric is an awesome mid-peninsula electric company that is ran by Dominic. Timely, honest and reasonably priced. Most importantly they know what they are doing and they do it well. I have used DeLuca a number of times for difficult jobs, including knob and tube conversion and they did an amazing job. I wouldn't use anyone else. read more

We have used DeLuca twice. First to add a few dedicated lines and do a few updates around the house. That went so well that we recently had them replace all the knob and tube wiring in our house. Can't say enough good things. Dominic was very organized and provided excellent communication and oversight. Gonzalo and Eduardo were always on time, very conscientious, and did an amazing job. Still can't believe they were able to rewire our whole house without opening up any holes in the walls. I've had rewiring done before where I had to pay hundred of dollars to get walls patched and painted. Overall, two great experiences and we will use them again. read more

We needed an EV charger put in and we had heard great things about DeLuca. They weee responsive and their pricing was fair. While installing it they discovered an issue with a separate breaker and made a separate trip to the warehouse to grab a breaker at no extra charge. Talk about professional. Highly recommend. read more

We hired DeLuca Electric to upgrade our electrical panel from 90 amps to 200 amps, expand and move our old sub-panel to make it code-compliant, rewire our whole 2000 sq ft house that had ancient knob-and-tube wiring, and install a 40 amp electric car charger. We had gotten quotes from three other businesses but decided to move forward with DeLuca Electric as they seemed to be the most experienced at this. One of the business we reached out to wanted to basically rip open a lot of the dry wall and quoted a ridiculous price, another quoted a lower price but they did not seem to have much experience with rewiring, while a third was not only pricier but also quoted a longer time to finish the job, so we did not proceed with either of them. Dominic stopped by first to examine the house and assess the scope of the work. He recommended that we also move our main panel to the side of the house given we were planning to upgrade it anyway. Thanks to his suggestion, our backyard looks a lot cleaner now, with good views that are unobstructed from all the wires that were hanging over it previously. Along the way they also identified some light fixtures (recess lights) which were poorly installed and fixed it for a reasonable fee. All along they were patient with our questions and very responsive. Dominic promised to finish the job in two weeks but they delivered it AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. This helped us move into our house according to our original plan, on time. Dominic, Gonzalo and the rest of the crew at DeLuca electric did an amazing job, we only had about 20 small 4x4 holes in the drywall that needed to be patched when they had finished. We are very satisfied with their work, they are very professional and the price was reasonable. We would highly recommend DeLuca Electric to others. read more

Dominic and his crew are pure professionals. If you want your job done correctly, call DeLuca Electric. We asked Dominic to get a lot of different things done and they did them all very professionally! When hiring for projects, I want teams that will do what they say they are going to do and will take the time to get things done right rather than just done. This is exactly how Dominic and his team work. 1) During a remodel by the previous owners, electrical was added in conduits on top of the roof. This is fine except that the roof needed to be replaced and replacing it with the rat's nest of metal conduits was going to make that very difficult. DeLuca redid all that electrical and buried it in the roof after the old one was removed. This was a VERY complicated job. 2) They installed 11 new light fixtures in two bedrooms. 3) They redid our main panel to the street, handling all the permitting and the timing with PG&E. 4) They redid the wiring from one subpanel to another, doubling the capacity and removing another unneeded subpanel in the process. 5) They added a dedicated 50A car charging breaker and installed a standard NEMA 14-50R outlet for an electric car's level 2 charger. 6) And finally, they redid the low power coax from the street to where it connects inside the house and ran two CAT6 lines from one side of the house to the other. HUGE job done on time and for the quoted price. I'd hire DeLuca again in a heartbeat! Thank you Dominic! read more

Our home in Belmont still had mostly old knob and tube wiring. It had been on my mind for quite some time to update the wiring to code and a recent fire of a house in the neighborhood, most likely started by faulty wiring, made us pull the trigger. DeLuca Electric came with a lot of recommendations for this kind of a job. Dominic from DeLuca Electric quickly answered my first email/call and we made an onsite appointment. Dominic is very easy to talk to and listens to your requests. He also let me know, that it was not possible for him to predict how much damage on the drywall it will take to get the whole house rewired, because it's not possible to see behind the walls and I appreciated his honesty. Dominic arranged all the permit work with the city of Belmont and also arranged all the visits with the inspector. That was really a big help for us, because we both are working and it would have been difficult to fit the visits of the inspector into our schedule ! We had an about 2 months waiting time between signing the contract and when they started the work. DeLuca is in high demand, because they do really good work. So if you need some work done, just prepare yourself for a little bit of lead time. They finished the work in about 8 days and there were no complains. There was just one switch in the garage that needed to be moved after they were finished, but this was done quickly by Dominic's team as well. All in all, we can highly recommend DeLuca Electric for their clean, honest and thorough work. This was definitely not a simple project but we are very happy with the result. Thank you, Dominic and crew! read more

Dominic and Gonzalo wired and installed both an attic fan and whole house fan in our San Mateo home. Dominic responded to our initial inquiry quickly and was over about 5 days later to have a look, give his suggestions, and answer questions. As promised, he followed up with a written quote the next day, which was at the top end of our budget, but I expected that from a highly recommended electrical contractor and qualified workers. Only downside was the wait. With all the construction and remodeling going on here on the peninsula (and Dominic in high demand) this also didn't surprise us. Luckily this summer hasn't been as hot as last year and we got the fans installed just in time for the last temp spike. We received a follow up approx. 10 days out to get the install day scheduled. Dominic and Gonzalo arrived on time, got the job done as outlined and left the house as clean as when they arrived. I had a few follow up questions I emailed which he answered within 24 hrs. Thanks Dominic. I definitely will use Deluca Electric for my future needs. Oh yeah -- when Dominic was looking at my breaker panel in the back of the house he took one look at the main power line coming from the pole, which drooped down quite a bit into my backyard and told me to call PG&E and have them tighten it, which I did and PG&E fixed the same day. I didnt think it was really a safety issue, but their lineman agreed with Dominic -- it was too loose. read more

I've used Deluca Electric for 3 years now. From separating the service for 2 units, to new exterior lights, to an outdoor plug... Dominic's guys have been top notch. Rene and Gonzalo did this most recent round of installations. They were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Reasonable rates, too. There might be a wait of several weeks, but that's because they are in demand. Worth the wait, in my opinion, particularly for larger projects that you want done right. read more

Dominic and the team at DeLuca Electric quickly solved a perplexing issue we were having with one of our circuits. Dominic has taken care of three jobs at our place and has been an awesome person to work with. Quick, communicative and professional he keeps you updated and stays to his word. After a lot of consideration, my wife and I decided to replace the old knob and tube wiring in our 1946-vintage home. We ended up using DeLuca Electric, a local company recommended by a friend. This was not a small job but it only took just over a week to complete, with minimal disruptions. We were very impressed with the overall quality of the work and with two very hard working electricians, Jerry and Eduardo. They did a great job--very safe (always masked), efficient and professional. I would not hesitate to use DeLuca Electric again or to recommend the company to others. They do very high quality work. read more

Dominic came over to install a 30 amp circuit for the garage. He was very quick and effective and did a wonderful job.

We needed our attic fan replaced - our old one was broken and it has been awful with the heat waves this summer. Dominic was quick in responding to my email, figuring out what needed to be done, ordering the part, and getting it installed. Now I am enjoying a nice, cool house during this most recent bit of hot temperatures. read more

The fan in the fan/light/heater unit in the bathroom wasn't working. Instead of trying to fix it I decided to replace the entire unit. I contacted Dominic (he had done a previous job) and asked for a quote. He responded quickly. I checked with other companies and found I preferred dealing with Dominic. Once I gave him the go ahead to do the job he got the fixture (I had given him the size of the hole in the ceiling and he found a unit that fit perfectly without my having to patch any holes) and had it installed. He is quick to respond by text/email/phone. I will definitely call Dominic again for other electrical needs. read more

I was pretty UNimpressed. I read the reviews and called DeLuca. No answer so left a message. Dominic called back and left message for me saying they were kind of busy so wouldn't be able to get to my job for three to four weeks. I called back and left a message saying that wouldn't be a problem. But since they were busy I'd like to make an appointment now for the job in a month or so. That was four days ago. This apparently not very responsible guy hasn't bothered to call back. Even if he just called to say they couldn't make an appointment that far out, I would have appreciated it. To not have bothered to call back does not reflect very well on his professionalism. read more

Called Dominic last week to have him replace wiring in my breaker box. Even though he was booked out two weeks, he was able to call me yesterday to come in later in the afternoon. The job itself took about 20 minutes. I appreciate that he went out of his way to get this done! Thanks so much :) read more

Dominic and his team were excellent and reasonably priced. He is in high demand so my only complaint is that he couldn't get to our 3 hour project for 3 weeks (running 220V to the garage for dryer). The professionalism and quality of work made the wait worth it however. read more

Dominic & Company have come to our house twice to do a complicated electric rewiring and replace several fixtures. Their work is flawless. We are so grateful to find artisan electricians who know what they are doing, make us feel safe in our house, and offer suggestions that make more sense than what we thought we should be doing. I had many pretty dumb questions for them (electricity - not my strong suit) but they were always able to cut through what I wanted and offer the right suggestions to make it happen without making me feel like a total idiot. They show up on time, with all the right equipment, and see the job through. When we do a complete kitchen remodel in late 2016, contractor or not, I will insist on Deluca Electric for all the electrical work. It doesn't get any better than this. Local people, craftspeople, and very fair prices. We are really happy. read more

We just moved into our new house in November and realized that we were in need of a 220 in the garage in order to hook up our dryer. We called DeLuca Electric and Dominic was very helpful and professional. He stated that his schedule was pretty busy for the next few weeks as he was going out of the country but somehow he managed to come out to the house within a couple of days to do the walk-through and he actually completed the job the next day! He was fast and did a great job. We will need to update our electrical panel soon and I wouldn't hesitate to use DeLuca Electric again. read more

We needed to install 2 overhead light fixtures in our house and I was referred to Dominic (DeLuca) by a friend. DeLuca Electric did a wonderful job for us! They changed our downstairs lighting and replaced a lot of our knob and tube and fuses with new wiring and circuit breakers. They installed 18 recessed LED cans/fixtures, with dimmers, and several outlets in walls and ceilings, and it all looks and works great. Dominic and his team were always professional and on time, and Dominic communicated great (including over email, which I appreciated). Highly recommended! read more

Dominic and his team did a great job for us. We recently moved in and needed knob and tube removed, as well as a new fuse box and replacing fixtures and grounding the house. My experience with DeLuca Electric was a 10 out of 10. I was impressed that Dominic communicated quickly and professionally, so I was aware of his rates and MO before his technician arrived. I have used DeLuca Electric for over two years. The owner Dominic is a dream to work with. I first met him through my contractor when we did a full kitchen remodel. Since then I have had various electrical issues..we needed to move some circuits around, install recessed lighting, install some outlets (on an upstairs wall which was extremely tricky..Dominic took his time and carefully installed these plugs without much damage to our walls at all). Dominic is honest, reliable and talented, and just a very nice person in general. We have a "no shoes" policy in our home and he is happy to remove his shoes (which some workers I've had have been put-off by) If there is a problem with something he is QUICK to respond and find a remedy. I have very high standards and Dominic meets them. He's a gem..you can't go wrong with DeLuca Electric. read more

Dominic DeLuca is another breed of electrician, one for this millenium. Call another electrical company (and I won't name names) and they'll tell you they'll send an electrician to your house within a four hour window. You get to take a half a day off work to wait around for them to show up. Call DeLuca and he'll tell you what time to the minute he'll be there, and then he'll be ten minutes early. Your estimates and bills arrive by email, you can communicate back and forth with Dom by email, it's what I want (and wish I could always expect) from a business in Silicon Valley. Now for his work: He's prompt, clean, courteous, fast, and his work is primo. I've used Dominic for a major job (installation of two attic fans), rewiring my entire garage, and for smaller jobs inside the house. He's the best. read more
