Chad, your response only confirms the tone and attitude I experienced firsthand. Instead of taking accountability for your poor customer service, you doubled down with deflection and personal attacks. I wasn't "arguing," I was asking basic questions about shipping--questions that any business should be able to handle professionally. Your employee wasn't mistreated--I simply asked for clarification after getting vague and dismissive responses. Then you got on the phone and made it worse. You absolutely mentioned how time-consuming it would be to "custom make a box" and strongly implied the labor cost would make it unreasonable--then quoted "$80-$120" it was clear: you didn't want to bother with it, and you spoke to me like my business didn't matter. Calling out poor service is not "lying." It's giving other potential customers a heads-up. If this is how you treat people who ask legitimate questions, I stand by every word of my review. Instead of accusing your customers of dishonesty, maybe take a hard look at how you're running your business. His attitude fits his name perfectly. What a "CHAD" ----- CHAD is Absolutely terrible with his customer service skills. His name suits his attitude perfectly. lol. Chad (The owner) was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start. I tried to buy a simple pair of lightweight ski poles online so I called for the shipping price and asked straightforward questions about their shipping process. Instead of helpful answers, I got cut off repeatedly and talked down to. He said he doesn't like to ship items that are very used, even though I saw the photos and accepted the beat up condition of the poles. He then (created another excuse) and bizarrely claimed it would take 45 minutes to make a box and wanted to charge me $80-$120 for labor--just to ship ski poles. He insisted they "ship all the time," but clearly haven't figured out how to do it efficiently. Shipping should've been $15-$26, not a full-blown meltdown. Save yourself the headache and shop literally anywhere else. I can get the same poles on EBay for only $12-$28 shipping cost. What a lazy joke this guy is.

I love a local business, and this one rocks! I'm mostly interested in the golf, and their selection is similar to other similar stores like Play It Again Sports, however the pricing here is excellent! Go out of your way to visit the location West of the 51 at Northern at 12th St.

Ready for the season! Thx C&S!

These guys and gals are great! I've bought countless gently used items to help my kids get started in a new sports. This season is softball. It's expensive to outfit your kid for a new sport like softball but we were able to get her a glove $20 , bat ($65 this was the only new item and since I saved elsewhere it felt like a fun splurge) , bat bag $12 and helmet for $20. Pants and belts were new and less expensive than Amazon. This is my first stop for all sporting equipment hands down. And...an awesome selection of Goodr Sunglasses.

This is a fun little store. We had a varmint problem and I had to buy a BB gun. I did some…read moreresearch online and found out that the Gamo Swarm was the best option for me. I'm an animal lover and it was a super tough decision to make, but I decided on a high-powered premium air rifle and premium ammo so that the job would be done quick and as painless as possible. I assumed Amazon was cheaper but I was willing to spend more money to solve the problem today, and I wanted to try to support local. I called to make sure that they had the gun in stock, I spoke with Ismael (I'm sorry, friend I hope I spelled your name right). He was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. When I showed up to the store, he recognized me from our conversation and came right over to help me. This guy knows his stuff. I was surprised to find out that there was a sale, and it was much cheaper than Amazon! Definitely a valuable employee and I hope he is recognized and well taken care of. I know the district manager for this place as well, his name is Seth Blum and he's a great guy. Super friendly and personable and great at his job. This place is fun, I hope they stick around... If you haven't been in go give them a shot... It reminds me of Popular.. that was a camping/outdoor place back in the early to mid 90s. Thank you all for running a great store, with friendly knowledgeable people.

It's a dumb choice really because I have to set down all of my merchandise and leave. Will I come back? Probably not. Waste of my shopping time I could have spent at another store. Don't do this to parents, just be glad the preschooler didn't pee on your floor and use a key system for your restroom if you have problems with theft or whatever. It's also dumb for you guys because if I stay there longer I'm going to spend more.

Any time you are a large scale store, you're going to have people complaining. I've bought several…read moreguns from Sportsman's, and I have always had a fantastic experience. Sure, they get busy but that's because they are doing something right. If you go on a Saturday, you should expect more people. The prices are very competitive and they always take their time with you. If you want great prices on quality ammo, these guys have that too.

I rarely write reviews, but my experience purchasing my first firearm at Sportsman's Warehouse left…read moreme compelled to share what happened. After about a year of researching and shopping around, I purchased a Ruger 9mm handgun. As a first-time firearm buyer, I expected the employees handling the sale to be knowledgeable, attentive, and careful, especially when recommending ammunition. Unfortunately, I learned more from other customers in the store, particularly one helpful gentleman, than I did from the staff. The most concerning part of the experience became apparent after I brought my purchase home. Along with the firearm, I bought ammunition recommended by the salesperson. Trusting that recommendation, I loaded the magazine. Although something seemed unusual about the fit, it never occurred to me that I had been sold the wrong ammunition for the handgun I had just purchased. A few days later, while showing the firearm to a friend, he noticed the discrepancy: the ammunition was .380, even though my handgun was a 9mm. I had planned to go shooting the following day and was also arranging professional training. Thankfully, my friend caught the mistake before I attempted to fire it. My concern was that, had I proceeded to fire the weapon with incompatible ammunition, I or someone nearby could have been seriously injured. That possibility made the store's dismissive response especially troubling. I called the store the next day and went in person to speak with the manager. What disappointed me almost as much as the original mistake was how casually my concern was handled. I was offered a $10 gift certificate, and the response left me feeling that the seriousness of selling incompatible ammunition had been dismissed. I emphasized that this was a safety concern, particularly for someone purchasing their first firearm. I expected a meaningful acknowledgment of the mistake and an explanation of how the store would prevent it from happening again. Instead, I left feeling brushed aside. I subsequently emailed the manager more than once and received no response. I understand that employees work hard and mistakes can happen. However, verifying that the ammunition being recommended and sold matches the firearm being purchased is a basic responsibility. Both items were part of the same transaction and appeared on the receipt. Since then, I have visited other firearm retailers and found employees who were more courteous, knowledgeable, and attentive, with comparable products and prices. My one-star rating reflects both the ammunition error and the inadequate response that followed. A $10 gift certificate felt dismissive given the nature of the issue. Based on this experience, I will not purchase another firearm from Sportsman's Warehouse, and I would encourage other buyers, especially first-time buyers, to consider shopping elsewhere.
